402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 03:41:16 PM
Rebuild the website and buy AC now!

But you told us to withdraw from exchanges and not to trade. You're obviously a scamming asshole. Karma will fuck you in the ass
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 03:34:26 PM
Website suddenly gone? Dev run away with your BTC. I hope you got out in time
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 03:14:43 PM
AsiaCoin

Please explain how the exchange of AC to ACV2 will work, is it gonna be 1:1, or?

yes, 1:1 exchange. So there won't be 60 billlion AC anymore.
We also need some coders to review the code.

"there won't be 60 billion AC any more". There are currently 60 billion? Dev, please explain how you know this. On this forum so far only 3 billion have been exposed. And how many coins will there be in v2?

Sounds like the dev knows of more "hidden" coins, don't you think? If you still have faith in this dev, you need help.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 02:55:31 PM
We will buy AC and hold the price till the new version released.

+1 DEV

I fail to understand why you stand by the dev when he's hidden 3 billion coins.

What value do you expect v2 coins to have when there are 3 billion coins instead of 140 million?

Have you looked at this? http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?block_hash=000000000016186185d175f4d3e4ca5b7ed2dc7d1fef39557f4609a766fb086d

We will buy AC and hold the price till the new version released.

Explain the problems with your original coin first, pal
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 02:44:00 PM
Please note - There are people on here spreading pure FUD - they keep repeating "sell now" "it's over" etc. Why? Why would they want to help you? Let me break it down, this is how day traders make money. They drive price down quickly and let it rebound and sell. It's a cyclical cycle and they profit off of your fears. You can listen to posts with real data, but not the shit I see these days. And keep selling cause i'm buying it...

I feel bad for you if you still believe this is FUD. It's confirmed that source codes was hijacked to hide the premine.

Where exactly is this confirmed?

It's not - There is NO PROOF of this.

I agree. Code was probably used to cause the panic sell.

Wrong. The coin is meant to have max 360 million coins. Look at the following block on the asiacoin explorer:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?block_hash=000000000016186185d175f4d3e4ca5b7ed2dc7d1fef39557f4609a766fb086d

It contains MANY transactions of 300 million coins. In just one block!!

There is no faking this. It IS a scam
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Relaunch on: May 03, 2014, 02:13:49 PM
This seems like an account hack. I don't see why a scamming dev would even be gained by breaking this information to anyone. He'd want to sell out at a higher price. This is someone who has gotten hold of the dev's password and is spreading panic to buy in ultra low. All because he knows that they real dev will wake up and calm the market, giving him enormous profits..

Blind faith.... have you been reading the fine details? It's a scam. Sell your coins

Please provide the finer points. I'm trying to get a feel of the situation.

Max coin supply should be 360 million. In the following block there are several transactions of 300 million coins each.

http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?block_hash=000000000016186185d175f4d3e4ca5b7ed2dc7d1fef39557f4609a766fb086d

Totalling over 3 billion coins. The previous pages in this forum show the code used by the dev to hide the real number of coins. In my eyes this spells scam.

1st block was 100 coins:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=d7a3477eab372c40b122c8f4e0c77f4bc36e353f4cd749d205b6e028e4f10b80

The block showing a transaction of 300+ million coins is a few days later:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=dde263aeb62683b3b6f46c65025594b6d02dbd68abf6ce093bfd1ba228e9b901

Doesn't make sense though, as getinfo in the wallet shows a coin supply of 141,372,389.59392500.

I bought in at 650, so I'm still up a good amount, but I'm disappointed with the dev here. Poor show. You could at least give us some thoughts on the matter. "New version will be released in 24 HRS,it's a pure POS one and  has a new safe block chain." Who are you kidding? Have you identified something wrong with your source which you are now going to make "safe"? Why don't you explain what that issue is??
First block contains hidden 3billion+ coins (you can't see them in the block explorer), these coins later appeared in some transactions (you can see these later transactions). Most transactions occurred in block 6845, analyze them:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?block_hash=000000000016186185d175f4d3e4ca5b7ed2dc7d1fef39557f4609a766fb086d

Thanks for the info. Clearly looks like a scam. I'll be passing on AC .v2 then.

My "receive coins" tab lists address as the one that starts with "AY." The other address is the Poloniex address, and my AC acct. there is empty.

Can you confirm on Poloniex which that you sent the funds to AY....? You should be able to see the address in the transaction history on Poloniex.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AC]AsiaCoin - Version1.0.0.1 Released - Please Upgrade your wallet on: May 02, 2014, 01:22:14 PM

Here are the transactions listed for my wallet, v1.0.0.1.

"Sent to" was when I sent it to Poloniex to protect me during upgrade from v1.0.0.0 to v1.0.0.1, and "Received with" is when I sent it back to wallet after upgrading to v1.0.0.1. Now, balance in my wallet is still 0.00AC. Anyone can help? I did search for "wallet.dat" on computer and cannot find such a file.

well i can only see that you received the coins on 08:25 and sent them later (10:06)..

Go to the poloniex website and check the wallet address that you sent the coins to.

Then check your current wallet "Receive Coins" and see if that address is in there. If the address is there, you should receive your coins. If it is not, you may need to try and recover your original wallet.dat.

to hold or not to hold that is the question  Huh

hold. I'm not saying AsiaCoin is the next BlackCoin, but I do hope so. BlackCoin started it's PoS on 14th March, 2 weeks after it's PoW phase ended, and look what happened:

There's quite a bit of attention deficit disorder around these forums. Like others have said, Dev is probably busy (or tired of trolls).

People complaining about the price drop: please show me a coin which has not done EXACTLY the same.... In 2011/12, Bitcoin went from $2 to 7 to 3 to 6 to 4 to 5 to 16. There were trolls complaining then, and they are probably still complaining now.

There is nothing wrong with the coin, and anyone selling now is losing out on what I reckon is a very bright future for this coin.

Anyone reading troll comments and considering selling: don't! Those same trolls are probably waiting to buy your coins cheap.

They haven't updated the market drop down yet. But you can just substitute the market symbols at the end of the URL.

e.g.

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/mintpal/bcbtc
etc

If the price doesn't rise and volume increase soon, we could see ECC removed from exchanges. Hopefully the MP will be fully operational soon and it draws in some miners! I'm holding my ECC and hoping for the best.

When my KNC Titan arrives I'll be sure to point it at the ECC MP.

Please answer the following the questions I have regarding the Asiacoin QT wallet:

I currently have my wallet encrypted and unlocked for staking, however when I want to send coins the wallet sends them without asking for the password. I used the "walletpassphrase" command to set this up.

1. I want it so that the wallet is encrypted, able to stake, AND requires the password to send coins. Is this possible?

2. I've also heard that you can unlock the wallet for a time, wait for it to sync, and then lock it again...and then in this case it will still stake? Is that true?

100 Doge bounty for anyone who can provide the solutions to these problems!!

Many Thanks!

1. Encrypt the wallet using password
2. Then in the settings choose unlock, type password let it sync

PoS should start today so after 2 weeks from today, open your wallet go to settings>unlock and let it sync...done

PS: Check my posts, there is how to

Thanks for your reply, just to be clear: In order to stake, I should unlock the wallet after encrypting it and syncing it and then just quit the QT?

I'm wondering if it is safe to keep the wallet unlocked like that, since you can send coins from the wallet if it is unlocked and encrypted without the password.

Is the wallet still safe if it is unlocked and offline?

Thanks

Unlock the wallet and leave the QT running. It will not stake if you quit. I'm not sure how long you need to keep the wallet open in order to earn all of your "interest", but I believe you should open it fairly frequently (every few days, maybe weeks?)

Even after unlocking the wallet your coins are safe, since you still have to re-enter your password before you can send coins.

hostmaster, please keep up the good work on the multipool! It might be worth noting difficulties faced by other multipools, such as point 1 from here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z7O8qbAgz6oC0lhqGKjEHM0jsyTfCx8v3K2qFU2nZ0k/edit

Putting fixes in place before these issues happen would be good work Wink
