Hi Mester, any updates? I'am still waiting to swap my goldreserve coins. I see only 7 token holders accounts on etherscan, does that mean only 7 people have swapped until now.
Yes, only 7, but its ok, the majority are waiting for the exchange or the possibility to stake. And I got a good news! FIRST GoldReserve amount deposited on the ethereum blockchain!Hurray for the good news I don't really understand it however, so this is no swap but a deposit where does it come from? Ok, so lets clear things up. In a normal blockchain, which was GoldReserve before, you stake your GoldReserve coins to get interest (extra coins) after your existed coins. The staking happened when you opened your wallet and let it be part of the distributed ledger. GoldReserve as an ethereum token works a bit different. It works like in real life. To "stake" your tokens to get interest after them, you have to "deposit" it inside your account. Meaning (as you are your own bank) you have to give an order to your tokens to stake. Why? Because ethereum tokens are smart contracts, small programs inside each other and you have to execute them (start and stop) if you want to interact with the smart contract, if you want to make your tokens stake, you have to make one of the smart contracts to execute, do what you want to do. In normal circumstances, this staking (depositing) happens in a one click solution through our own wallet (Fusion wallet), but till it is not done 100%, you can do it in another way, through the use of myetherwallet and calling, executing the deposit smart contract. Hope it is understandable. P.S.: I am hungarian and I imported cars from all over Europe before. So somedays I check autoscout24... Yes think I understand it, so in the smart contract the "staking" is defined and you have to activate it yourself until the new goldreserve wallet is finished. The smartcontract then creates new tokens based on the number of GR tokens on your eth adress and on the total "staking" weight correct? p.s. How did you read that about autoscout? I removed that part of my message removed it because I saw it's not only a dutch site but also other country's.

hi ratflat & welcome; PoS was turned off with the last release
If there's no POW nore POS what keeps the network secure? What is the incentive to keep a node running I believe that staking is still providing a reward, only to the extent that transfers provide fees (which are burnt). Maybe there is no need for greater incentives anymore, whilst growth and development are ongoing. The movement of speculative money may ensure that the network remains active enough. This is one of the only POS coins to have reached its max-coins limit. Open wallets keep the network running . Nobody knows what will happen, could still fail, but an interesting experiment. NXT & ARDOR also reached max-coins (instantly on launch), that network uses forging of fees to generate blocks which keep the network secure. If nobody in the ECC network is staking who's the generator of the next block?

Guys and Girls, Thanks for the support and tips recently, I was able to get my "EarthBank" running again !!! But special, and super thanks to Sandokaaan! he or she made this all happen!!! (if i understood correctly) I even found 200K back on an exchange !!
EXCELLENT DEVELOPMENT!!!!
Cheers!!
Yes you understood correctly, Sandokaaan libarated Earthcoin by building a new earthcoin wallet wich forked a new chain leaving the hackers helpless The hackers tried to hold their goldmine by trowing lots of hashing power to keep control but with lots of nodes already on 1.5.2 they gave up eventualy. Indeed a masterpiece of work which shows his skills in blockchain technology, we are very lucky to have him onboard. Also great to see you back Biomech, I remember you as one of the most active EAC community members back in 2014. I agree on your point of EAC being a bit too inflationary. What's your opinion about that Sandokaaan?

Hi, there has been a slight change in project structure. For all developers: the githubs have been migrated from my personal github to a github project. they can now be found at https://github.com/project-ecc/eccoin and https://github.com/project-ecc/LynxFor everyone else: if you find a link to either the Lynx or eccoin github link that is no longer working because of the migration, please report it so it can be fixed. To answer the question of "what are the devs working on" and ease any concerns, here is our current checklist we were trying to complete for the next release (this is just a copy and paste so its in dev speak and has some developer notes in it). GUI - downlaods menu is no longer a tab, start button now replaces itself- daemon now replaced with wallet- configuration under settings where it should be- fix balance bug, should now show all balances correctly- fix wallet version, should read from package file- fix the transaction table-fix new version available message - fix internal server error- fix backup wallet button - add button to menu to change staking state without restarting the wallet using setgenerate - make time to unlock wallet option. should have some arbitrary high default value if no specific number input - progress bar for daemon download, helps on slower connections even though its only 30MB DAEMON - add ability to toggle where change is sent in tx, now defaults to address where coins were being sent from instead of creating a new address. This should help users check their addresses on BE with better accuracy- add service tx's for ANS and other services. no port available, no one has done this- implement full network manager for all network services. no port available, no one has done this- implement chain manager. no port available, no one has done this- add ANS tx checks to processtx - fix the transaction table, combine coinstake inputs and outputs- import autogen/configure scripts- fix travisCI configs- add rpc call to reload settings from config file, will need to pause wallet to do this safely. some settings cannot be reloaded with this command, see safety list - rpc to add contact to address book - rpc to delete contact from address book - rpc to modify contact in address book - rpc to check password validity/encryption precense - add load percentage to block index - improve network sync time. port from 14.2 - improve load block index time. - port in rescan ability without full wallet restart from 14.2 For everyone having issues, we are working on it. You can always seek help for any problems you might have in support channel in slack Thank you, -Griffith Happy to see this one on the todo list - improve load block index time. Thanks for all the effort you are putting into ECC, keep up the good work!

Not yet, but bittrex will most likely hold their promise. They dont have a history of lying to people. Have a bit of patience.
i'm glad, my first trading history is with bittrex, and i wanted to get ignis too well, let's see when will they do their job, i've been waiting eagerly since december I was sure (from the unofficial news on twitter) the Ardor markets would open on Bittrex this week but not so sure anymore. My patience is really being tested thoroughly
