hashy - Out of the 12 posts that you had, there're 8 about WAS and 7 are just FUD's. I'm sure you had passion for it at one point, how about go back and fix your faucet or remove it all together? Just like ACN said, it's your decision to stay with the old WAS or convert to the new fork for 1/1000. Either way, be constructive. We are all Satoshi - WAS. Cheers!!!

Hey now, let's take a deep breath and go through the entire thread before scream scam. Here's some recap from my point of view:

The current WAS issues:

a. No active development and no innovation: WAS has one single wallet released since its release and in need of newer security patch and updated features.
b. No reliable working pool: I've been mining WAS for months and we were down to 2 semi reliable working pools which sometimes go down for days if difficultly drops below 900. One pool xguild.net stole million coins from me. (You just can't have 5 billion WAS by running a pool http://goo.gl/n81orR)
c. No exchange, no value and no demand: There's no exchange for WAS since most of them went under and there was no buyer when we got on rockytrade.net. People just don't buy WAS at 1 sat knowing there are billions of them out there. There are no Doge and LTC market and there's no point of holding onto billion of worthless coins.
d. No recognition and no social activities: Don't need to say much here. Last social post was back in April.

The Revival Team member aren't newbies. If you do a little digging, you'll know who they are and I have high respect for what they've accomplished and truly believe that they will breath new life into WAS.

I'm going to end the vote at 8pm EST (midnight GMT).

Nice- I think we already have the general consensus.  Cheesy

I voted for Crypt but hit the Black. Please update.

X11/ POS / Anon. Way to go  Cheesy

Darkcoin had issues with setting up anon master nodes but it's going strong. You're right, I think it has the best codebase to implement a fork and add Tor as a permanent option.

How about 40 millions with fast reward for the first 3 months to encourage holding and people won't dump so much now they have 1/1000 of their previous holding.

1. 5% interest each month for the first 3 months
2. 1% per month for the rest of the year
3. 3% annually

5 days stake. Maximum 30 days.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WAS] - WeAreSatoshi SHA256 Coin - Now trading (WAS/BTC) at RockyTrade.net! on: June 29, 2014, 03:19:40 PM
So, everything would simply be reduced by 1 / 1000 in the coin swap.  1 v1 WAS = 1 / 1000 v2 WAS...  Block Reward = 25 v2 WAS, halving every 200k blocks, to a maintenance reward of 1 v2 WAS.  The algo would remain SHA256D, modifying to a hybrid PoW / PoS algo.

We would take a 2% pre-mine as a development fund, which would be 800k v2 WAS.  All swaps would be done within the wallet, as described by MrData a few posts ago.

If there are no objections, we can push forward.  The hardest part is getting the community to agree and support, which I think we just about have...

+1

Not asking to be on my side but can you just block that address and give the owner a chance to respond? It will hurt the coin having the largest holder scam the miners out of of their coins.

I'm sending a PM to ViMal.  After some google searches, it turns out this is the username of the Pool Operator.  Have you just tried the contact form on the pool, or did you have a real email?

Great detective work. I've been using the forms both on the old and new sites with no responses and thanks for your work! Cheers!

I had the same thought but wasn't sure how it's going to play out and honestly I'm ready to send some BTC after selling some of my Mints for the raffle.
1. How will you handle the swap, Bittrex Richie did swap for some coins but they were on the Exchange to begin with?
2. What will happen to the people that didn't know or didn't want to participate at first?
3. What can you do with the largest wallet (WXvAuSCM9dJ9NYnfir2RrkivyC4PsLbdkQ)? I think it belongs to http://sha.mine-pool.net/was now Xguild.net. It stole hundred of million WAS from me and never responded with any of my emails. I'm sure there are many miners out there lost their coins too.
4. Will the 10 coin reward enough to keep the network safe? Why don't we go POS to save some energy?
5. 2% pre-mine is no issue IMHO, you guys just have to be transparent about it with Google doc or some sort of reports to inform everyone.

Raffle, BTC donation, I'm in. How about a Twitter follower or Bitcointalk signature giveaways? No No LTC market  Sad

Please remove your sale at 1-4 sat. This coin was at 14 sat at one point. If you're dumping at 1 it's going to be hard to return to the previous price.

Since i have got a pretty "small amount" of zeitcoins in my wallet..lets give this prize amount to someone who wants to join the party.

You could've double your stake coins... but I guess it'll go to rbizz. He's the next poster  Cheesy

In comparison VeriCoin on mintpal has a $1783021 - 3167BTC 24hr volume  Cool

But if everything is still going as planned even a high volume like that is in reach for mintcoin!

I'm kinda surprise that the price actually went down a little after the pre-mined announcement. It's not much but it's something.

China is Mintcoin's biggest market today... 50%!

Yeah, a whooping 1.2 BTC  Cheesy

I want you to start to answer those questions though Brian.  You seem to be passionate about this coin and helping others.  What is your vision?  I'm not saying let's hold on everything, we just need to get organized.  We are in the public eye and need to make sure we don't open ourselves up to negative perceptions.

As far as the value.  I know we have at least 58 million WAS to work with...  At 1 satoshi that is .58 BTC, at 10 satoshi that is 5.8 BTC, and at 100 satoshi that is 58 BTC...  Our trade value will make a big difference in what we can do!

I'd love to see WAS as a primary method of donation for a 503c where people can donate for a cause (even anonymously) and without having trouble of going through BTC / exchanges sorta like the "Donate via CoinPayment.net" and the recipients can use WAS to buy tangible goods.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WAS] - WeAreSatoshi SHA256 Coin - Relaunched by Coin Revival team on: June 25, 2014, 03:46:16 PM
..
I'd like to be clear that I'm not sure the best thing to do with the 58 million WAS that I am holding.  I wasn't planning on continuing any of the match donations, or the other initiatives that MrBrew was working on, until a plan was organized.  I'd say a better place to start would be discussing what we should do with the WAS fund.  I'd be happy to post a poll if you guys want to present options.  Some things to think about would be: is it held in WAS or traded for BTC?, is it dispersed in WAS or BTC?, what is it used for (bounties, match donations, funding events), and who approves of a worthy cause???

Until we have a defined plan, I'd like to hold off on taking more donations or doing anything with that fund.  We need to find the true market value of the coin.  Are we sitting on $100 or $100,000?  We really don't know yet.

Fair enough, I want to say we are sitting on $100,000,000 and everything has to be in WAS because it'll have no meaning going to BTC  Smiley

I have an idea for the logo redesigning contest. We will have two wallets with WAS donation from the community:

1. First one is a bounty for the design that will be selected by Coin Revival Team members
2. Second one is the 2x match donation to the WAS charity fund being held by the team

Surprise match, if the winner decides to donate his WAS to the team's charity fund, I'll personally match 50% of it.

How does that sound?

And on a more serious note (not that some lucky soul getting 800k Zeit isn't a serious note) we need to start cracking down and getting in some advertisement and promotion of our coin and community. I have posted blogs in the past, and plan to do some more soon advertising the upgraded wallet and letting people know that this is the perfect time to invest while the price is down. If those of us who actively participate in this thread were to all do some advertisement, then I think it will do some good for the coin and community as well.

An iDevice wallet will attract a bunch of Apple users Grin
