381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: COMPANIES IN JAPAN PAYING SALARY IN BITCOIN on: September 22, 2018, 10:33:42 PM
This is very good for bitcoin and also altcoin

this has nothing to do with altcoins!

it is bitcoin that is a currency. and it is bitcoin that Japan has recognized as a legal way of payment and it is bitcoin that they are using as payment!
altcoins are still the same virtual things that only exist on exchanges and are traded there and nothing more.
It has a LOT to do with altcoins! The more the acceptability of bitcoin, the better for the altcoins and the general cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin controls the market as everything in the crypto market is tilted towards it. If bitcoin is healthy or strong, then the entire market including the altcoins will be healthy and strong also with the support of bitcoin. You should know that if bitcoin collapses, it may spell doom for the cryptocurrency market and even this forum may cease to exist. Therefore, every good news for Bitcoin, is indirectly a good news for the alts.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Belgium has 8 Bitcoin ATM machines on: September 21, 2018, 09:06:26 PM
Hello everyone I have a news.
In Belgium there are total 8 Bitcoin ATM machine.

In Antwerp 3 ATMs
In Brussels 2 ATMs
In Ghent 1 ATM
In Hasselt 1 ATM
In Sint-Truiden 1 ATM

Does anyone know anything about this topic?
This is very interesting. I have heard of Bitcoin ATMs being used in some countries already including Russia. If this Belgium story is also true, then it is very good for cryptocurrency.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ripple is so popular? on: September 21, 2018, 09:00:47 PM
Whenever I open Coin360 XRP is all green.
What stands behind this crypto and can it outrank Ether?
I have also often wondered what is so special about ripple, and why a lot of people are tipping it to overtake Ethereum on the coinmarket ladder. Whichever way, let us see how the rivalry plays out between the two coins.
384  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto replacing fiat? on: September 21, 2018, 08:57:51 PM
Lets say crypto completely and utterly replaced fiat. Fiats don't exist anymore. All governments have seen the advantage of using digital currency and have completely changed their fiat into crypto, like dollar to dollar token(obviously not tether). How viable is this? For example anyone can see how much I am holding using the public ledger and track me down and force me into sending them the cryptos I hold. I wanna discuss in reality if cryptos actually replace fiat how life will be and what are the problems we are gonna face and the immediate effects of it.
This will be so wonderful. This is what Satoshi Nakamoto may also hope. Life will be somehow easier with cryptocurrency. People can carry out their transaction without too much hassle.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will benefit the most from bitcoin/cryptocurrency? on: September 21, 2018, 08:54:37 PM
I have a friend who is interested in getting into bitcoins but he does not have a lot of savings or any major investments. He also has a lot of debts to pay and has an average wage job with a family of 4 to raise. When we were talking yesterday, I thought: who really would benefit the most from investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Can those who are like my friend get into bitcoin even though he has no major investment? Or is bitcoin only for those who can afford it?
The people who can afford it more or has a lot to invest will definitely benefit more. But people like your friend with little investment can still profit a little from bitcoin. He can start from software.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you sure the market will come back at end this year? on: September 19, 2018, 10:11:35 PM
There is still a very great chance for the market to bounce back although we are all very skeptical about this for now. We should have started seeing the price increments gradually by now but it is still not so.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were to spread the word of Bitcoin.. on: September 19, 2018, 10:07:24 PM
This to me is not a difficult task. You can spread the world of bitcoin through several means and in social medial platforms. If you have a business, you can inculcate bitcoin into your payment method too.

When it comes to encourage people to get involved, simply let them know that it is a currency and not a get rich quick scheme.
388  Economy / Economics / Re: We can totally eradicate poverty if we TRULY want to. on: September 19, 2018, 09:56:36 PM
I don't see anything wrong in giving arms to the poor or the less privileged in the society. Even the holy books also support arms giving. I quite agree that some people who are poor are in that predicament as a result of their negligence. But there are also several other people who may even be far hard working and yet they get nothing. Those who have so much and yet not willing to help the poor in my opinion are just being greedy and selfish. When you die, what becomes of your wealth??? It is best to live a good and generous life instead of living a stingy and selfish life.
Practice arms giving or upliftment of the poor around you. I think you should even be embarrassed when you built your mansion in a community where the other people cannot even have a single room to sleep. I am not saying you should accommodate them in your home, or build a house for all the persons in your community, but you can at least do something to better their situation as long as you still have so much to spare that is idling away.

Try to leave a legacy behind and be remembered for good.
Poverty eradication is what the United Nations is also fighting and it should be the goal of everyone.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: China-Africa Cooperation and Lack of National Ideology of African Leaders on: September 18, 2018, 07:50:08 PM
but I do hope that they are sincere in helping African nation and not just overrun their resources which we have seen in the las 500 years or so.

This has actually been one of my worries about the motives of some of this countries pledging to help Africa. Are they really sincere? I honestly don't think so. I believe most of this countries are mainly interested in running the continent dry. They only want something they can get from Africa.
390  Economy / Economics / China-Africa Cooperation and Lack of National Ideology of African Leaders on: September 18, 2018, 01:21:43 AM
I followed closely the recently concluded summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) which took place in Beijing, China. The summit was attended by the Leaders of the 53 member African Union (AU), where the Chinese President, Xi Jinping promised the Leaders that China will cooperate to help Africa achieve industrialization and infrastructural development, among several other promises.

Most of the African Leaders have been in euphoria about this, seeing it as a success story, and believing it will end their perennial problems.

With this, I see a complete Lack of ideology of most African leaders, which is why they continuously ran to foreign countries for help.

Enough is Enough. Africa is a continent with great potentials and abundant natural resources, what the African countries need is a national ideology to set a better economic path for itself.

This ideology would make the government of the day to realize that no nation has enough for her citizens, and that none is willing to play the father Christmas to any other nation; that salvation would never come from outside, it must come from within.

Africa should therefore be aware that no European, American or the Asians can truly help Africans to build Africa.

All what Africans and its Leaders need is ideology. They should all be purpose driven to save their countries.

If Africa wants to truly save itself, then Time to Act is Now!
391  Economy / Economics / Re: Low BTC price is good for Bitcoins at the moment. on: September 11, 2018, 11:17:53 AM
Low price of Bitcoins will attract new people to join the rally, now that a lot more people can afford to buy a ''Full Bitcoin''
I don't fully agree with this. The low prices might even drive away some new comers or intending investors. Low prices are not attractive enough to make people want to invest.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 11, 2018, 11:11:43 AM
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?
Some ICO rating sites are as fraudulent as some of the scam ICOs they rate very high. I don't expect anyone to trust them in order to make any ICO purchase decisions. DYOR.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leave Crypto? on: September 11, 2018, 11:08:40 AM
However, buying and keeping a coin is the method that suits most people. This is a very simple, fast way of making good money in the top 20, like litecoin, bitcoin, ethereum. Ripple, store somewhere, do not read the news, do not worry about the transaction or the predictions the coin will die of the media. After a few years, they pulled out and sold.
In case you want to trade, the story is quite different, you need to buy on sale. And very simple rules, buy low sell high. As you know it is easier said than done.

Good food for thoughts. I think it is sometimes maybe better we just turn our ears away from the media reports once we have already bought a coin and made up our mind to keep that coin on hold till the future.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit? on: September 11, 2018, 11:03:42 AM
Central bank Governor of Spain has told the cryptos bring more risk than the benefits to get. but I believe on more risk more gain theory. If you can not trust crypto, you will not be able to see its value. Risk is associated with all kinda business. It just has to be calculated properly that which one would be profitable for you.

please share your thoughts in favor of mine statement or against.
You are very right with your analysis. The more the risk in any business, the more likely the returns you will get from it. People should not just look at the profit aspects alone, they should also see the ease of transactions across long distances with crypto.
395  Economy / Economics / Re: blockchain and voting on: September 11, 2018, 11:00:38 AM
Tsubuka, one of the cities in Japan was chosen by the Japanese government become a city of science, and a few days ago, the city government there conducted an experiment to implement a voting system with blockchain.
and the experiment was successful, the voting used identity card verification in a decentralized network typology.

this is an example that blockchain will become part of our lives. blockchain will have an important role now and in the future.

in my opinion, next is Venezuela that will create new innovations and changes in the crypto world.
It will really be an exciting thing for the entire world to consider implementing the blockchain technology during its national elections or any other form of voting due to the transparency of the technology.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: September 11, 2018, 10:56:30 AM
I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.
Cryptocurrency is not difficult to understand for those who are open minded and are very willing to venture into the new technology. You simply need to make little research about it online and in some forums such as this.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum is Going to $50 based on what I Observed! on: September 11, 2018, 10:54:31 AM
I disagree with this post in terms of the Ethereum price. $50 is way too low. I know that there are several scam ICOs but that is not enough justification for Ethereum to continue pulling down.
398  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: September 11, 2018, 10:49:23 AM
I'm not one who would invest in precious metals, but I have noticed that a good amount of the older generations are pretty keen in investing in these metals. They see it as a way to bet against the market, and a security that will always be safe -- even in the times of a market downturn/country failure as a whole.

I personally wouldn't even want to buy these metals in those events, as I don't see the reason to. I'd rather invest in securities that go up when the market shits itself (Payroll lending companies and so on and so forth)

Does anyone here know the reason behind people loving precious metals?
Do you think that the old aged people have time to start learning something new like cryptocurrency? I don't think so. Gold and silver have been with them right from ages and they will always be more comfortable with it.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 11, 2018, 10:46:49 AM
Reports have it that bank frauds still continue to happen despite of strict security measures being taken by the banks. Just between January to July 2018, just timeshare fraud alone had 1.155 reported cases. It's when you’re told you can go on a free holiday or get rich by joining an exclusive holiday club or timeshare programme, but you’re eventually forced to pay for it through small print in the contact. That is not to mention other types of fraud like identity theft etc.

This gets me thinking, is it safer to just have bitcoins, or cryptocurrencies for that matter since it's not regulated by banks? What do you think?
I believe having Bitcoins stored in your wallets is safer than banking as long as you have all that is necessary to protect your wallets from hackers. You are quite sure that no one will just wake up one morning to make deductions from your account.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop allowing manipulators to switch you off and on on: September 11, 2018, 10:43:09 AM

My friend! wise up and stop allowing someone to switch you off and on. You are not a toy robot.

Learn to stand your ground amid such manipulations or low market prices.
I don't think this fearful people have widen up. It is just too easy to control or remote most of them as if they have no mind on their own to make decisions. They are always shaking.
