Resigning from the lead position was an unfortunate necessity arising from the situation at hand. I do not condone what you did, but you took it in your stride and dealt with it maturely. In this statement will try to address three issues: One is on NEM distributional idea which I don't think many people understand even with many many pages and words have been poured on the issue so far. Secondly, I will address the issue of my personal conduct and the last issue is about what will be the future of NEM and UtopianFuture.
NEM distributional idea is best understood in this summary written in the Development Contract.
"The purpose of the stakeholder community distribution round is to spread the majority of NEM evenly and to many stakeholders as long as the logistics allows. The goal is to build a big and decentralized community that can support NEM's exsitence and operation as a decentralized network"
IMO, the distribution round was a success. We are now having a big and passionate group of developers and helpers that share the same goal and a sense of solidarity. That's very important because they will be shaping the future of NEM with or without me.
The spread of the distribution round was excellent as you can see in the population statistics. The number does not lie and we can show that to any detractors.
I failed in my personal conduct and not adhere to the rules I set myself. If you are familiar with American politics, now I have the Eliot Spitzer or Anthony Weiner problem.
I had a few sockpuppet accounts but I have no intention of cashing out any of them. I did not write down the sock accounts (using an arbitrary password that I can't remember) neither and plan to donate the fees for the development fund. I created sock accounts to keep the thread at a high demand when we have few supporters. Ghosthouse is the only account I kept using more so that I can use it sometimes to cheer up NEM threads.
It is what it is. I apologize to my core team members, to all NEM supporting developers and helpers for this issue. I will step down from now on.
The task of maintaining NEM stakeholder list will be transfered to Patmast3r. He has been sharing the access to the file with me for quite sometimes. NEMtoken account will be passed to Pastmast3r as well.
NEM Twitter account will be transfered to Makoto and he could pass on to the most suitable person.
NEM development fund accounts will be fully transfered to Jaguar0625, Gimre and Thies1965.
Ournem website will be transfered to the core team as well.
Update and Discussion and Refunds threads will be closed after new threads with similar functions can be made up.
All press contacts will be passed to the core team so that they can find an appropriate person for the job.

Guys be positive, I vote for patmast3r to be our new leader. That will make NEM go to the moon!!  Either UP is innocent or guilty now his words and comments will bring all the time trolls and people arguing what he says and will not make good to the community. 2) long term/high impact marketing(this is what ethereum is doing):
Besides that, one of the most important things we could do for NEM in the long term is find one or more persons which should be "the faces" of NEM at conferences, interviews, and do what Vitalik Butering does for Etherium, capturing the imagination of technical people and intelligentsia by kindling intelligent discussions and intellectual experiments regarding how NEM works, what we can and could do with it, what problems of previous coins we solve, etc. This is the highest point we need to target, which if we do correctly, will overflow and bring news about NEM into all other sub-layers of society.
I guess it has to come from the core team. One needs to be technically savvy too as often this person will need to defend the design as a good crypto worthy of use AND cause. Speaking of Ethereum, can any well educated crypto minds elaborate perhaps on some of the key differences/similarities to NEM? As far as my research has led me, I'm quite comfortable saying NEM will be the best Bitcoin 2.0ish platform when it launches next to NXT and perhaps Ripple (though a different beast from a political standpoint). If I read correctly, Ether is going to be PoW still?, obviously a difference there, but what about what it does and doesn't do with Bitcoin 2.0 that NEM does? Never hurts to evaluate the competition and beat them to punch . It is the other major blip on my radar next to NEM. Certainly the community is very well established as others point out, and as DOGE showed us, that can be everything. Ethereum community? I am not sure if the will have a community when everybody figures out that nobody will make any money out of their IPO. They choose the Mark Zuckerberg way --> wait till they are big enough and then do the IPO. Fill their pockets, but the price will be cut in a half. The NXT guys say that there is no feature in Ethereum that NXT canīt do too. Hopefully UP will state the same. I was pretty excited about Ehereum at the beginning, but their plans are obvious. No coin has spent such an huge amount of marketing for vaporware. I believe it is not fair to call it a vaporware until they have proven so that it is indeed a vaporware. I have worked on it a bit and it appears to be chugging along nicely. Their strong point is the ability to make contracts. But I believe they will have a problem later when the entire block chain is bloated with transactions, contracts and data. Don't know how they are going to solve that. The other problem that I see is that the transaction costs may be too high when the coin rises in value. Same thing can happen to both Nxt and NEM. They can provide sophisticated and tailor made user interfaces within the wallet with the use of JS Bindings, something I believe is in the pipeline of NEM as well. They certainly have a big following in the number of devs working on this and going by this, I do not think it is mere vaporware. One thing's for sure, their "vaporware" claims appear to demonstrate that it is a superset of Nxt and whether they can deliver this superset is another matter. We should see something in August/September. Ethereum is definitely something we have to watch. What will be release first Etherum or NEM? If Ethereum is released first then NEM will be less notice and the price of NEM will not grow as fast , We need to be first so NEM get known and be in a stable top position before Ethereum is released, I might be wrong but what do you think? |

I am happy to share some new and positive news about the future Management of UTC.
Today I have completed my 3rd negotiations meeting with a team of Dutch investors who believe and plan to invest in the future of UTC by re-starting several developments.
I see this as a very fruitful and welcome opportunity for UTC and I believe it will give a positive boost for the long term.
The new team of investors have my full approval,and we are discussing transfering the management of Ultracoin to them,and this also entails passing along full control in desicion making to this team.
Off course I will stay in the new team as a Strategic Partner and as member of the Dev Team i will lead several (new) developments,such as the minecraft plugin.
At this upcoming days we're working hard to give further shape and to develop the plans for the best future of UTC.
The new investors have the financial backing and marketing skills in order to make Ultracoin a success in the long term.
We will provide you the upcoming period with several updates about the progress and plans of the new management team.
I ask all UTC'ers to have a little patience before we can tell the plans in detail. This wil take about two weeks.
I have started these negotiations in the best interrest of UTC,and i believe this team can provide what the coin needs.

There are going to come out very soon 4 coins built from scratch, Simcoin, Next lite coin, Sky coin and NEM.
Now my question is this? whoever coin is release the last will have last chance to succeed? why Next lite would be better of all these coin ? the competition is tough and who will be number 1 out of these 4 coins that will come out roughly at the same time
