if the person have excellent rating, the is no problem to use ebay
This does not solve OP's problem, since the account of his buyer was hacked. eBay or Paypal should provide an escrow service, that's the minimum effort they should do for choosing to provide cryptocurrencies trading and collecting high fees on them. you must check previous transactions (when and what was sold). But anyway ebay should come up with something serious to protect

A lot of Americans just don't seem to want free healthcare and/or like to blame Obama for everything.
The problem is that the healthcare is not free. And the tax payers are paying a huge price for it. Compare the Romneycare to the Obamacare and you'll see how better it was. Well most countries are in debt. Is China in zero debt?
Even better. Think. Taxpayers pay for police and army too. Why do people seem to be ok with that but not healthcare? Americans seem to think socialism is evil. It's better and cheaper when everyone puts in and society benefits. in china is work the best and perfect

So, just finished putting together my mining rig, have a few more tweaks. Specifically, dummy plugs and jumping the PCI-E x1 slots on my motherboard. Build is as follows: 3x Asus R9 280X's - R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 1300 Watt EVGA PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 1300G2 Gigabyte Motherboard - ga-ep45-UD3L from an old computer 4GB Corsair RAM 1 double wide milkcrate + wood holders 2 PCI 16x to 1x risers - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I4BUUKM/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=11 PCI 16x to 16x riser - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008BZBFTG/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I'm using SMOS - I removed the auto donation script and will give the guy a few bucks instead. Still learning a lot, especially how to tune the cards, how to configure BAMT (SMOS) correctly, and getting all 3 cards to function correctly. If I can, I may squeak another R9 280X in there, but that may be overdoing it for the PSU. Looking for a few people to collaborate with and for suggestions in regards to which coins to mine, pools, etc. what pool do you use?

Bitcoin is as safe as you make it safe, that is the beauty of Bitcoin. With fiat you just hope justice will help you if you get hacked, with Bitcoin you might secure it very well
You need to use separate computer never connected with offline wallet. Hopefully hardware wallets will be available soon for no tech users
or virtual machine

Keep your pc safe from viruses and keyloggers and don't keep your BTC on exchanges.
wallet should be on separate hard drive with a clean operating system

Bitcon is safe to use as long as:
1. You are taking regular backups. 2. You are taking adequate steps to prevent the hacking of your wallet.
or you have trembling hands.
