If its worth nothing and you can buy nothing with it then it has zero potential In today's blockchain technology, where a chain can carry anything from the data for a social media network to a country's land titles, any chain that has a secure network has potential worth. Thinking currency centric can hide some of a token's potential value from you, in my opinion. - Nova #DevSTEEM On! It lives!!! #DevSTEEM on =P

Hey guys, love BBP and love mining! Haven't received a purepool payout since 6/1 and noticed the website said it was in maitenance? I upgraded to Evolution 1.4.3.3 and moved over my wallet.dat from BiblePay Core so I know I'm up to date. Am I correct that purepool is not doing payouts at the moment? Thanks in advance.
& God Bless!

The tax problem is easily solved. From now on donate all coins to entities like Wikipedia, if not collected by the entity within a month burn them up or try with another entity. There is no need for you to collect other dvc. You got millions at least. Be innovative, risk it all, or watch dvc die. Dvc has such a great potential.
It doesn't just have great potential, it has a great future ahead of it. I have no say over the disbursement - but I agree, send it to Wikipedia. Or maybe promote the reasons why its special instead of being so coy about it. That isn't specifically addressed to you - I'm saying that to everyone (especially those who started this topic). I'm just one man. You can slam me all you guys want, but I am confident in DVC and I will not shake on that stance. I woke up friday morning and discovered the coin was delisted from btc-e exchange. The most disastrous and venomous consequence of this recently discovered delisting is not the fact of delisting itself but the hint that the coin lost its niche. Maybe in the future speculations about its place in the universe will arise and the coin will appear in a spotlight one last time before fading into nothingness of utopian proclivity. Its yet to be debated. If you mean shilling I have yet to be successful - but the heart is there

Are the single satoshi days finally coming to an end?
If Freiexchange gains some traction with the new UI, it could draw a lot of attention to DVC. Price discovery will be interesting..
Wouldn't that be nice. I think we had that convo on twitter.

He seems to be a loony. Utterly weird utterly wrong "theories". At least if you're still on about the same guy who rants about IXCoin secretly creating bitcoins and weird stuff like that? -MarkM- Yeah but, you're Canadian and I own a boatload of "DeVCoin" so you're utterly screwed. A boatload of DVC? Is it not basically a dead project? I mean, can you point an article on a major newspaper, exchanges, shops accepting it, etc.. And the price? Still 0.000000? I don’t get it Theres an exchange though. Vicrurex. I dont like how retarded idiot realdantreccia worded it. Reading his post makes me wanna get a seizure and fall dead. What kind of word is this? Saying that u got a boatload of something is more retarded than pitching ur catheter off the genitalia and using it as thunderbolt cord for ur iphone. The second thing I want to add is Im out on vacation thereby this thread will not be monitored my eyeballs. Maybe you need to take more vacations.

Hello DeVCoin community! Coinwarz stopped tracking DeVCoin in 2016 Several exchanges and mining pools use the Coinwarz API for up-to-date exchange data. We need to get this back. It will help us get more exchanges and pools to support DeVCoin. Let Coinwarz know you want DeVCoin tracked! Fill out the contact form https://www.coinwarz.com/contact...and visit the page to get the visitor stats up. https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/coins/devcoinCheers! ctya Just filled out form and visited. Good luck.

Hi, I sent coins off Freiexchange to qt wallet address before it finished syncing but laptop shutdown and now I got error on devcoin wallet "failed to connect to best block" and wallet will not open. Any fix?
Never mind. Fixed by moving wallet.dat from laptop to desktop wallet
Trucker, welcome.

The wallet generates I think 100 addresses when it is created, then as it runs low it generates more; and there is a command to make it generate more too so if you expect to use a lot before your next backup you can deliberately generate a lot so your backup will contain the next however many addresses that will be used.
So you have some leeway.
When you send coins often an address will be used up to send the change to, and of course every time you do getnewaddress to get a new address to tell someone to send to that uses up one of the pre-created addresses.
So basically every time you do a backup it includes the next X-number of addresses that are to be used.
Once they have all been used, you will be into new territory, using addresses that had not been created at the time of your last backup.
So the key is to make backups faster than you use up addresses.
For example if you have a website that lets visitors cause an address to be created for them to send coins to, and thousands of visitors get addresses created daily, or one visitor uses a bot to have it generate tens or hundreds of thousands of addresses for them in one day, you might be hard-pressed to make backups often enough, and will want to generate vast numbers of addresses ahead of time to back up before the site gives them out.
If on the other hand you only have one publicised address for folks to send you coins (a donation address for example, or the address DevTome sends your shares to), and never send coins so never use up addresses to send change to, then one backup will last you "forever" with plenty of pre-generated addresses in it ready for some day when you do suddenly need another address or few.
-MarkM-
Is that sort of a description of "coin mixing" and issuing lots?

I will look into it. You propose we make offers on HORIZON or Stellar? Can you provide a link to these platforms?
|
|
|
Point is that the coin doesn't have much traffic for it's potential, writing is just one of the unique ways contributors can earn DevCoin but it will remain useless and stagnant without significant volume and user base.
Ever hear of Daniel Treccia? More people have heard of Daniel Treccia who exists on the planet known as "Earth" than Paul Roberto Vlad - who exists only on whatever ID he is printed on.

I'm not so sure, as I said on a different thread: A "transparency focused crypto-currency exchange" that hides behind a privacy guard in Panama: Admin Contact Name: WhoisGuard Protected Organization: Mailing Address: P.O. Box 0823-03411, Panama Panama PA Phone: +507.8365503 Ext: Fax: +51.17057182 Fax Ext: Email:50087b3f114a496b92446a54bd9904e5.protect@whoisguard.com About as transparent as a brick. Good point. Still maybe be worth the listing? Free. Sure, if you trust an "exchange" run by people you don't know in a place that doesn't exist & who's very first PR sentence is a blatant lie - feel free to throw your coins at them. Knock yourself out. You can get ripped off for "free" instead of paying for the pleasure. Use at your own risk, but I won't. Have used several times and the coins work with a few Devcoin wallets, show up in the same amounts.
