81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Favourite coin to HODL right now ? on: July 15, 2018, 05:59:00 AM
NEO, REQ, OMG are pretty sure bets. Also, ARDR could be huge in a year since they just launched their platform which enables the creation of child-chains on top of main-chain (ARDR) and solves the blockchain congestion and scalability problems.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin in August? on: July 15, 2018, 05:23:50 AM
in the last days we have observed a normalization of the market, if the projections continue we can predict that little by little it could increase if no external factor alters the market, usually in these dates of vacations people have time to invest and investigate, and with the arrival of fresh money we could observe an increase in the market cap.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: July 11, 2018, 03:46:02 AM
I honestly wish there was a decent one. EOS is way too sketchy for my liking and is DPOS and Cardano has a solid direction but I feel their leadership is very sketchy too. NEO is just seems a bit too heavily manipulated by the Chinese Government.

I really wish there was a Cardano without the bad leadership. I would rather Ethereum have good competition.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to invest 8000$ on: July 10, 2018, 03:54:42 AM
Serious answer, based on reducing volatility via portfolio theory (adding negatively correlated assets):

35% BTC
25% XMR
20% ETH
10% DASH/LTC
10% REP

The first three since they have the best pedigree and prospects, the last two for diversification (REP, in particular, is negatively correlated with BTC and XMR, as is XRP, although I like that altcoin less).

BTC/XMR/ETH are your core holdings. The remaining 20% is for diversification and negative correlations. If you want to reduce volatility, add them. If you don't want to, and simply want to chase return, then stick with the big three.

Other highly-touted coins by insiders and investors: Decred and Golem.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO, buy or not? on: July 03, 2018, 03:45:52 AM
I would suggest going all in but I would say the main pitch would be if you wanna be successful don't go where the puck is at, go where the puck will be. NEO is where the puck will be in 5-10 years. Tell them at least to research blockchain tech if they want to make significant gains in the next 10 years.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: June 29, 2018, 02:06:10 AM
Alts are even more speculative. Which also means people are less emotionally invested or don’t quite understand what they’ve invested in.

They’re more apt to dump their alts if they’re not performing. Everyone’s goals with alts were more profit potential than Bitcoin.

So if they’re watching Bitcoin pump, but their alts dump - they’re not gonna hold onto them.

Holding would show there’s real value. And that people won’t sell even when the market is down. Which is why I think you’ve seen things like NEO stay strong, or VeChain pump higher than BTC.

If you watch the value of alts closely you’d have a better idea of who the winners are. I consolidated not because Bitcoin was pumping, but because I could tell a few of my riskier speculative alts just didn’t have the profit potential I thought they might. Others, like VeChain I’ve held and they’re growing faster than Bitcoin.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens to Crypto when normal stockmarket collapses?? on: June 29, 2018, 01:19:59 AM
If the US market crashes then crypto space will become bullish. Where else do you put your money? Not the banks. The 2008 market crash gave birth and purpose of crypto existence.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Bounty Hunters Sell Immediately they receive reward? on: June 28, 2018, 02:42:53 AM
Usually, bounty hunters want a quick profit, so they support any campaign whether the project has a future or not, so when the campaign ends they don't bother to see if the project is going well or not and just dump to earn a quick buck.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We trust in crypto! on: June 28, 2018, 01:49:53 AM
Regardless of how anyone feels about to prospective switch from cash to crypto, the situation is far more mysterious than most will admit.

Cryptocurrencies are currently in their infancy, much like the internet was in the 1990s. At first, only a small group of people were online, then it began to spread like wildfire, and now nearly everyone has joined in... The same thing is likely to happen with cryptocurrencies.

With abundant speculation that crypto is in a bubble poised to pop at any time, the looming threat of crypto taking over could be superfluous conjecture. But as with all things technology, things can change in a nanosecond and predicting the future is incredibly challenging.

That said, while crypto certainly has a place in the new world, it is unlikely to completely take control. The response of various countries to crypto has been erratic, so the effect will be different in divergent parts of the world. At least for now.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Choose a Good ICO on: June 27, 2018, 01:15:21 AM
Choosing the right ico isn't easy because sometimes its kind of boring to read those websites or even whitepapers, most of the people felt hassle if they read those whitepapers or any publications; unless all were business minded. One thing that made me convince for a good ico once it has been established at trading sites and the coin live launching was successful at trading sites, then it will be a good coin so its considered a good choice when you decided to buy for trading.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in Litecoin now or invest in bitcoin? on: June 26, 2018, 04:16:03 AM
In the short run, I think there are a lot of good things going for cryptos right now, and the bleeding should stop and the market should rebound to more of a bullish uptrend. In the long-run I think litecoin will be worth some thousands of dollars, and I personally have a sell goal for all of my litecoin of around $2,500 a coin, and until then I am HODLing strong.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin back to $500 is likeley on: June 26, 2018, 03:15:33 AM
first, it's likely, second if you think it will go down so much why you're still interested in this forum? creating controversy per-se, it's not good for anyone to crash that hard, neither for those who invested for profits nor for those who dream of a monetary evolution.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Eth Hit 1000$?? on: June 26, 2018, 02:04:22 AM
Ethereum is looking just like bitcoin did before Goldman Sachs said it would retrace first ... and then it went to $20K. Retracing is just about complete now with the Binance hacking claims fueling the volatility.

The news taking place right now are redistributing a lot of coin values. CoinBase is doing an index fund and not focusing on alts. More ICOs keep happening on the Ethereum platform. Mining difficulty is set to increase with GPU farms and new Nvidia cards coming out soon.

Technical progress and scaling, while not new, is just around the corner.

This won't get back to the previous high but is close to it.

I'm feeling that an increase of about 50% in about two months time is a reasonable target.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best paid Telegram group? on: June 25, 2018, 02:10:01 AM
See Signals Combined (branded CryptoAdvisoryPro or VIP… confusing). But it’s the best thing I’ve come across. It combines Asian Whales, Palm Beach VIP, Cryptoland… some of the most profitable Telegram VIP channels are all “merged” into one Telegram channel. I paid 1 ETH for like 10 ETH of value. Check out their website or contact their admin directly; they’re impressive
95  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is Russian President "Putin" talking about world war 3 ?? on: June 25, 2018, 01:21:30 AM
With the apparent influence that Russia has over the president of the united states, I don't think that's the usual contender, so I wonder who's against him, Russia is a war machine but if they keep upsetting enough people they will come together to put a halt at they actions
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you listen to analytics? on: June 24, 2018, 12:46:06 AM
It is always good to hear what they have to say, but it is very important that you see the graphs yourself and draw your own conclusions with theirs, now there are many skeptics who try to damage the reputation of the cryptos so we must pay close attention to what we hear to not be fooled
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: June 23, 2018, 01:59:40 PM
Everyone has a lot of reasons. For me, sometimes I need money for a punctual purchase, and I sell some alts that doesn't seem very promising, because I need money quick, but generally when people don't sell their coins, they want to make a quick profit.
98  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your favorite websites? on: June 22, 2018, 01:26:14 AM
