I'm going to another pool. Good luck.

Well you nailed it for sure. And you are right. I do wish I had bought more

Pumpers target coins at low satoshi value. This is a prime target. Price is low. Risk is near Zero. It won't fall below 1-2 satoshi. Basically I see this as low to no risk, huge possible reward. Just have to buy and hold for a bit. It will happen.
I nailed it with Zeitcoin. Just wishi I had bought more.
Take a look at the coins that get pumped. Being low value is definitely not a prerequisite. Nice low price buy for guys like you and me though.

Saturn coin hit 10 back in early to mid march. Could do it again. Maybe not.

Airpool is offline, still holding coins... no payments in 2 days
I really hope they send them out. They have about 23 AIR of mine. That isnt a ton but for my little 700khash its almost a day of mining. For now im not mining while i wait.

I'm not getting payments from airpool.org, there's also no option for request a manual payout. Anyone else with this issue?
I am having the same issue. I sent an email to their contact page two minutes ago about it.

I just want to know if this will all take place days, weeks, or months from now. Should I keep mining if the giveaway is just a random reward on whether you receive coins or not?
The timeline is explicitly stated in their post from today. So the timeline will be: 0HR: Notice of new coin 72HR: Verification period begins 144HR: Verification Period Ends - HR: Coin released

so weird to me. why did he even bother fixing the difficulty issue if he was just going to leave a few days later. Meh.

They said exactly what was happening. Which also included this not being the hub of communication for the coin. Which makes sense because the level of discourse on bitcointalk is abysmal.

Thanks for the speedy update. I will continue to mine this for a little while longer at this insanely low diff Hey Glen, We have just submitted a request to be added to swisscex, now that they there API sorted out for coinwarz and coinmarketcap we feel it's a great exchange to start with for the next couple months. Like we said before, only one exchange that has decent security and we also don't want the coins price to be influenced by other exchange prices as we see with so many other coins. Keep everything to one place. The next exchange we can aim for is Mintpal at a later stage. I think you will discover that Swisscex, as nice an exchange that it is, simply doesn't have the level of traffic and volume to help sustain a good price for Maki. Buy orders will be low in volume and will eventually erode the the price. Even well known popular coins have low buy orders on there. We were thinking of Poloniex or CryptoRush but they both seem to have had hacking/exploit issues in the past. What other exchanges do you guys feel could benefit the community? I would vote yes on Poloniex by no on cryptorush

In time the fast money will drop off How to address the mining/confirmation issue? When the diff goes down the time on the blocks will be back to normal. When they implement a new diff adjustment algorithm it will prevent us from running into this situation where the block times are long. That part I get, and thank you. The problem that I have is that if the dev team does not do anything to improve the wallet to make this coin unique and profitable to mine, then support of miners will dwindle. Which brings me back to..we need the dev team on the wallet ASAP. TeamAir said that the difficulty adjustment will be addressed in the next update. I think it will be. In my opinion the urgency is not really going to make or break the coin. I'd rather that they take the time to make sure things are setup correctly then rush the update to please anxious miners. Some miners probably lost interest entirely at this point and wont come back, some will come back after the update. New miners will come too. ASAP is always the goal but for right now patience is key.

In time the fast money will drop off ya. It would seem that for some people "long term" means about two weeks and no longer. I am pretty glad that the main communications for this coin are moving off this forum. It has never made any sense to me why so many coins are using this as a base of operations. No offense intended to respectable bitcointalk users.

Honestly the document you read spells it out better than I could even if I took the time to.
What part of the document? What specifically did you like? I like how they clearly and articulately describe their perspective on crypto-coins in general and then explain how they see their coin fitting in and what they plan on doing to achieve that position.

Having just read the original whitepaper again, I'm curious as to who having read that is a fan of this coin. Can anyone who likes this coin or that paper please explain specifically what they like about it? Lot's of people here have said they like the project or the coin but I've yet to see anyone articulate just what it is they like. Honestly the document you read spells it out better than I could even if I took the time to.

I am still 100% stoked on this coin and its approach. The devs have given out any important information promptly and clearly, I don't personally need 24/7 365 reassurance that they are alive and working on the coin. I will keep buying and mining what I can for the time being. Looking forward to see where AIR can go from here.

Goddamit. God-freakin-dammit. It's like you guys don't get. AT ALL. You have not proven your identities. A fucking picture of campus is not prooof. THAT IS NOT transparency. Christ. This is Earth coin all over again.
And your stabilizing algorithm was bullshit. You think 0.5 BTC was enough to curtail the amount of dumping of thousands? All you have made and are still making is unsubstantiated claims. Fuck.
Anyway, I'm dumping the rest of my stash and leaving, I've learned enouh from your hand wave rhetoric to smell the bullshit on the roses. I'm done.
Please do.

I need to stfu. But honestly, you tend to give out reasonable responses and maybe I've been an ass but can you guys at least answer why it's not a good idea to buy 5-6 BTC of air with the dev/pool money? It would put the price right where it was and people would feel way safer plus the market cap would double.
Can you please answer this?
That would be a completely artificial jump in the price and there is no guarantee it would benefit the pool or the coin in the long run. It would simply allow people to sell their coins at a higher rate. Now obviously there are more than just the pool buying AIR but don't you think getting as much as possible at as low a price as you can is a better strategy than continually pumping the price up for people to dump? That is how i see it.

So, whats the big announcement?
And I echo KenChanYu's thoughts on cryptorush.
