- End it with how Digibyte will solve all these in the next DigiReport.

10th August 2015: 4th episode DigiReport
- How Digibyte can solve these problems with its current algorithms and system.
- End it with understanding Bitcoin in this next DigiKnow and look forward to the next DigiReport for more info on DigiSpeed

14th August 2015: 2nd episode DigiKnow
- Bitcoin's current algorithms, system, etc.
- End it with looking forward to the next DigiReport on how Digibyte will be so much better.

17th August 2015: 5th episode DigiReport
- The Future of Digibyte - DigiSpeed.

In this manner, if both DigiKnow and DigiReport touch on a similar subject, its easier to relate and to understand and to see why Digibyte will be better. There is a gradual flow of information. Also, it has been a few months already and im pretty sure we all would love to know more details about DigiSpeed. It doesn't have to be done. But we are sure there must be more details than what was announced back in April/May 2015.

Just my 2 digibytes: i feel and think that DigiReport should just be about Digibyte. Just Digibyte alone. At the very least, keep it mostly about Digibyte. Like how the 1st 3 DigiReports were. Not entirely about other things. Other things can be touched on through DigiKnow.

Just what i thought since you asked. But do whatever floats your boat best.  

Yeap. Good luck to them. Because GetGems is on a roll with its development. Many things are in the right places and with those done, GetGems can easily expand and grow from there. Just saying based on my current observations.

And almost every company has encounter it and dealt with it. i agree with reRaise however. Good news for the app. But bad news for Google. Regardless, glad to know the GetGems Team has a solution to deal with this.

the problem is with Google in the end. very very unbelievable the way how Google handled it. they clearly need a binoculars with a magnifying glass in front to see that a Hot Pink Gem Icon is NOT the same as a White Arrow in a blue circle. No...the most obvious is they are COLORBLIND - PINK vs BLUE!

GooglePlay indeed. We just got played by them. This is becoming like Youtube. get 3 strikes by some random newly created youtube accounts and the Youtube Channel gets deleted automatically without any approval from Google. Shouldnt there be An Approval System done by Google and not by a**hole*? like by now after all these years???

Oh and eightnineten, well firstly, welcome to GetGems . FYI, Google isn't always the innocent party. Yea sure they are a HUGE company. But their system and their way of doing things can be extremely ridiculous and flawed. Its probably worst than a loophole and hackers taking advantage of that loophole to steal data. At least Google can still be on your side to help settle the matter and recover everything. But if its Google's System or Policies, Google isn't gonna take your side as the chances can be 50/50. Take Youtube for example regarding copyright strikes against youtube channels. it wasn't just a hot soup. a volcano was happening over this matter. and no - its not always receiving copyright strikes from said companies or producers. sometimes, all it takes is just a group effort of some anonymous citizens who decided to strike against a channel without any good reasons and BAM...youtube channel is gone. if the owner of the channel dont act fast enough, Google's System will allow it to happen.

 

Looks like GetGems is the real gem here. Because with only 3000+ twitter followers, it manages to have 10000+ downloads so far. THAT really says something positive.

As for my response to this "Gems starts to look pathetic already" - in case you haven't noticed, Getgems used to have updates every 3-4 weeks. BUT in the month of July alone, it had about 3-4 updates!!! And with Coinbase joining in, you are probably indirectly calling them pathetic as well i guess. Probably Citi as well for having named GetGems as the ‘Most Visionary Social Solution’ in the Mobile Challenge.

Telegram, Citi, Coinbase...having been acknowledge by such high esteem companies, don't underestimate GetGems. Let us push aside whether an app is a scam or pump-and-dump and whatever nonsense. Look at the facts. So far, all other similar apps like nxtty or startchat...they aren't even the main focus, Development wise. In other words, they are like a feature, a part of a bigger project. For e.g., StartChat is just a side-project. There's StartPay, StartWallet, etc. However for GetGems, GetGems is the one and only main focus and all developments are directed to GetGems. no where else, no other projects. Hence, together with Telegram, it has the potential to be on par with Whatsapp one day and to be better than Whatsapp too. don't underestimate GetGems.

Anyway, this darn GooglePlay Store better don't 'play' with us customers and clients. The way they are handling a case of whether to take an app off their store or not and yet not giving any reason for having done so, they better prepare themselves for a reputation attack on Reddit, Twitter or an article posted on a high traffic news website. What they had done is HIGHLY UN-PROFESSIONAL.

exactly. We can only say that the GetGems app is performing better, but it doesn't yet have the kind of social network size or influential power that StartChat has - because of Max Kaiser.

However, GetGems influence only recently just got increased by leaps and bounds thanks to Julia (Coinbase and Telegram). We are picking up the pace!
Looks like the airdrop and attention economy will have to start soon. because this is so reminding me of how Facebook came to be successful.

Getgems has a solid infrastructure. Because Getgems is the main focus. i dont know about StartChat. StartChat is just one of the 5 side-projects for StartCoin Eco-System.

i am not surprised with the numbers that StartChat is having. Look at the number of Twitter followers it has - 60000. Getgems is only 3000+. Give Startchat some time. i would like to see if the number of downloads will surpass the number of followers. Because Getgems already has

Not sure why some still don't get it. But just a few words...

anything done by the community, be sure to take note of which are done by them. Once you do know which are, understand that they are not obligated to keep it updated. they are 'committed' but not 'obligated' to do so. So if the last update was months ago, just ask them or send a PM to check on how are things for the project, etc.

As for the way how the Digibyte Team is handling its announcements and how they are updating us on Digibyte's Progress, yea...i do fully agree that they really need to make sure what needs to be updated, stays updated. Such as their blog on the Digibyte's Official Website. It's just making Digibyte look bad. They could at least have 1 blog post/month. Although over here at bitcointalk forums, the Digibyte Team is clearly very very active, but the moment something is done and needs to be done continuously but it isn't...like a blog...it just doesn't look good. BUT im glad Digibyte has gotten on better track than before (Weekly Video Updates on Digibyte's Progress + still the same level of communication with the community on bitcointalk forums). The Digibyte Team could use a community manager for the blog, forums, etc. i don't know if they have one though or is Jared going to be doing all that.

Yes...the "Fiat/DGB Exchange" has been on Digibyte's Plan for a long time already. BUT its the very first time that the Digibyte Team has 'shown us something' regarding this. It goes to show that it is 'in the works' and there's progress for this. Not just something on the Roadmap Blueprints. We can expect it to be sooner than 'TBD (To Be Determined)'. So this is something positive...even if its only a tiny little bit (sneak peak). I find this acceptable...because there are many other features that the Digibyte Team is working on. If this 'Fiat/DGB Exchange' was the only one...and all they can show us is some sneak peak after this much time has come to pass...i would be extremely disappointed. So know and understand Digibyte's Situation first.

Digibyte CAN be greater than most other altcoins out there. Because so much has been done and even more can be done as the Digibyte Team has shown to us. But i really really think that the Team is kinda a bit small at the moment. probably need another 1-2 more people to join the team to split the work. So that Jared can channel most of his brain power to brainstorming all the tough core aspects of Digibyte. like Digispeed, etc.

Whatever it is...Digibyte is looking better and seems to be doing better for the past 2-3 weeks. Keep it up!

Having watched the 2nd DigiReport, i just would like to say that Digibyte's Current Impression is looking better than before. Things now are more organized, transparent and alive. Awesome transformation on DigiReport video's professionalism (the 1st one look like it was not done properly and very impromptu). Good to see everything is back in order!

Keep it up! i'm still planning to buy more digibytes and hold them.  

As for my thoughts on the 21 years vs 144 years, there is an issue about how miners will continue to mine if all bitcoin has been mined. How will they earn and continue mining to secure the network and verify transactions? the current understanding is that miners will earn from transaction fees. i don't know much about this yet but i thought i just bring it up to the table since we are still in discussion about Digibyte's Supply.

And then there's also the Lightning Network, which could drastically boost the number of bitcoin transactions verified/sec? something like that. i read a reddit mentioning that the Lightning Network can be ready earlier than they had planned it to be. Will Digibyte benefit from the Lightning Network too?

Regarding Digibyte's PoW algorithms, i am not knowledgeable about it. but i hope the Digibyte Team and those who are knowledgeable about it, can take a look at other altcoin's PoW algorithms. the only one that caught my attention was Vertcoin's Lyra2. http://vertcoin.org/wp/pow-algorithm-upgrade-lyra2/. Any thoughts about it? it seems like it can be adopted into one of Digibyte's algorithms as i rmb reading something about how problematic huge mining farms can be to Digibyte because of 2 PoW algorithms.

About PoS coins, just a thought, i think some kind of PoS could be useful after all coins have been mined. i do not know how but i believe it can be further work on. I think it won't be called PoS anymore since there won't be anymore coins to get. Proof of Ownership? Also, Since there won't be any difficulty involved after all coins have already been mined, therefore...huge amount of electricity won't be needed to compute to solve mathematical equations am i right? electricity is only needed to verify transactions and to secure the network. so somewhere around there, maybe some kind of PoS can prove to be useful in some ways. Maybe not by itself alone but together with other algorithms in the future. as far as i know, PoS and PoW ain't the only type of algorithms that i have come across during my research. there are others too. but those 2 are the most common for now.

Why am i talking about this (the previous paragraph)? well...if we are going to stick with the 21 years plan, what is going to happen after that to secure the network and to verify the transactions?

before the end of august 2015 will be more than 10 000 i gauge based on the current pace. But i can be wrong as things can explode and become exponential. for e.g. airdrop gets implemented in August. when things spread like wildfire, especially if its a case of which tree *wants* to get burn first (people who join early benefit the most), yea...it gets really hyppening.

FEEDBACK ON GETGEMS COMMUNICATION WITH THE COMMUNITY
- I like it when there's Development Updates but no new version for the app yet. keeping us updated from time to time is important. CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
- Announcing stuff that are already done instead of something that we have to wait for...gives a really nice vibe and atmosphere to GETGEMS state. So far for almost every -Development Update, it has been like that.
- in other words, its awesome to know something is done every 2-5 weeks VS knowing something will come in 2-5 weeks.
- Best would be to announce BOTH!

my faith in the getgems team didn't get restored. it got rocketed to the MOON!
