They literally built the v9 out of left over crap from old s7 stock, you get what you pay for really. The yare a machine that was unprofitable from the day it went on sale, im really confused as to why you would even run them in the first place.
its like buying a crappy remanufactured alternator then swearing off of every delco product for life because you were too cheap to buy the part new.

The M10S is very loud. I heard it firing up in the middle of a rack of s9s clear as day in my very noisy datacenter.
Mine is currently hashing at 54.87TH @ 3455w. It has only been on for a few minutes, once i have let it run for a while I will post a review of what I have seen so far.
This thing is a monster!

Mining is dead.
Is it the 48 exahash of BTC mining power that is telling you its dead? Is bitmain deploying 90,000 S9s because mining is dead? Willful ignorance is not a good look.

As far as I know, the firmware between each s9 type is interchangeable. I have flashed S9s with S9i firmware with no issues. I can even flash T9 firmware onto an S9 and it will hash.

Yeah, I know the sticker tells you - but what about scams - could someone create the labels with an existing SN - but put it on a machine that is of lower specs. Like, I just bought an S9j-14T - but it is showing in the System Overview that it is an S9i, not j. But the labels say it is a j. Without a Bitmain SN check that shows the specs associated with the SN - you cannot tell for sure what you have.
Ahh, I only buy new so thats not been an issue. I know there is a way to pull the specs directly from the hardware as it is hard coded into each hashing card, but im not sure how to do it. Ill ask my guy and see if I can get some info for you.

If it runs like the m10 you will like it .
My 2 m10's have been flawless.
Yea I am pretty excited to test it out. Thanks Scott!

They are not in stock because nvidia is slow playing the release, and it wouldnt surprise me if they are scrambling behind the scenes to figure out the memory issues the Ti's in particular have been having

Some larger farms have prototype models in-hand. Reviews coming soon.
Is there a way to get hands on a demo, ive got 40 mw to fill and I need to figure out what hardware we want to go with sooner rather than later

This is one of those cases where a picture is worth a thousand words...

Well the serial number sticker on the top of the miner will list the machine type and speed. Other than that there is no lookup. We scan and keep a database of our own with machine types, serial numbers, and warranty expiration.

What do you think ? Do you mind telling me a bit more about your setup and how is it holding up ?
Those temps are within what I would consider acceptable ranges for sure. Its 50f in the room I have mine in today and im seeing 46-50c PCB and 58-62c on the chips. On a hot day they run into the low 70s on the PCB at their hottest. If the weather will get warmer you might want to think of an exhaust, honestly a small fan in the roof just pulling a bit of air away should be plenty

Why are people still talking about ethereum going PoS? Dont any of you read the news or follow the coins you mine? PoS isnt happening any time soon in a way that will affect mining

An important note is more important than frequency is your share rate -- which is more important than hash rate.
Share rates depending on difficulty and pool settings and can be different for the same coin depending on where you are mining. This makes the share rate a poor metric except for comparing machines connected to an identical pool.
|
|
|
What are you even talking about? This is just an invitation for more of the community to join an altcoin focused Discord discussion. Its a good way to meet people, have questions answered, and maybe learn something you had never even thought about before.

at your power price it will take you like 18 months to pay those off, I wouldnt do it with such a crazy high power price
|
|
|
Do you really need to do that much? z9 minis make almost no heat even when overclocked
|
|
|
With the crazy prices and not all that impressive mining speeds for the dollar I think the cards you have will remain the de facto standard for a while to come now. I would keep grinding away, maybe take a risk with a machine or two on a new coin if you think it will go somewhere. Once you have reached the breakeven point, its much easier to experiment without worrying about your returns.

Why illegal, when they used my worker name?
Because you dont 'own' that worker name. Hypothetical situation: What if someone else used the same name on another pool, switched pools and forgot to change it? Then you are given the information of someone completely innocent and go after them for something they know nothing about.

A high-yield investment program (HYIP) is a type of Ponzi scheme
fuck off scammer

Fanatic isn't clear if they were hit the he 2.6% or the combo 27.6%. It would just depend on when they arrived and what tariffs where applied.
We were hit with the 2.6%, the 25% is not back dated. The problem with that was we bought thousands and thousands of miners so the 2.6% was still a big 6 figure number after the fact.
