Reminder: don't trust password managers...
A txt file, in a vera(true-)crypt archive is probably more secure, especially if it only contains a cryptic description or hint of the passwords. (still wouldn't use it for btc stuff) On windows, security is an impossible to review mess anyway, with almost every application, library, driver and tool implementing it's own independent software update system. Also: antivirus software is useless. What a surprise.
A well written polymorphic virus (with no common sequences of bytes between reproduced copies) should be undetectable with today's tools and was invented more than 20 years ago. The fact that no one makes these indicates that virus scanner take way too long to add new viruses to their database, so there is no need to make it undetectable.

Right now, it's a complicated scenario where everything is pretty uncertain. We don't know what kind of other variants of the virus will appear, we don't know what the long-term effects are post-infection but we don't know those of the vaccine either.. it's all just an uncertainty and I think the worst thing I can do right now is take rushed choices..
What is quite clear is that general health plays a role, so for now I try to work on that, and keep vitamins and minerals stocked up and try to vary my food more.

A whole bitcoin sponsored by "Bitcoin Meester". Strange. I tried to use that site once but they had way to much trouble dealing with even 1/10 bitcoin, so I gave up on them.

[....] But needing a crew is annoying so I'll probably keep things small, something like this : My choice too, maybe a slightly longer one to reduce fuel cost and increase range. and way more solar. I'm involved in custom build aluminum catamarans and have seen several clients move to a smaller ship so they can kick most or all crew off the ship when the owner arrives. Also quite a few that sold their house to cross the globe permanently.

Not stated in the article, but several residents had corona in the weeks before Sinterklaas visited. He may very well have been infected there instead of spreading the infection. It has been know for a year that ventilation systems in care homes, schools, etc. are particularly good at spreading covid19.

Can't read the article because businessinsider.com is overlaying an ad that tells me to invest in bitcoin.

Just signed in and checked value during a meeting. The big smile on my face was noticeable, need to work on that....
But I wonder what value would make me say "fuck this, I'm outta here!!!!" in the middle of a conference. Hm....
Looks up from phone "fuck, I just won a years salary, taking the rest of the day off" Makes the next meetings a lot more relaxed. Expect some questions if you do that for the 3rd time.

Should have put all the money in bitcoin, claim he’d lost access to them. Hide the private keys somewhere, do his jail time & then access the corn when he got out.
Launder it: eat the key in court, then sell interviews and books for new btc.

Florida Man who Used COVID-Relief Funds to Purchase Lamborghini Sports Car Charged in Miami Federal Court A Florida man was arrested and charged with fraudulently obtaining $3.9 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and using those funds, in part, to purchase a sports car for himself. Authorities seized a $318,000 sports car and $3.4 million from bank accounts at the time of arrest.
Even criminals thrust banks. I hope they learned there lesson

JUST KIDDING!!!.... I sold all my Tesla stock at $350.... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!
Kept 90% of btc, bought most around $250 with extra fiat, took some profit to buy more btc, now have a nice position in both and no fiat. Some people recommend against my 100% TSLA stock portfolio but btc probably isn't there idea of diversification. I just like to keep it simple. Edit: looks like btc is correcting for the dropping value of the dollar.

Holy shit whats behind these no volume pumps?
It doesn't take a lot of volume when everyone agrees the price should be much higher. Also: USD is dropping so BTC priced in USD should go up.

[...] So much fail. Where do you even start?
1) Storing the keys for the encrypted file also on the network. 2) Why even bother to write that the attacker deleted the files from the network? no backups?

[...] I am not sure about that, because seizure of computers does not mean they found the keys.
You are overthinking this. Just sell (a copy of) the computers as-is and let someone else do the hard work. (but that would not affect BTC price much)

Design for a CoinSwap Implementation for Massively Improving Bitcoin Privacy and Fungibilityhttps://gist.github.com/chris-belcher/9144bd57a91c194e332fb5ca371d0964[...] Imagine a future where a user Alice has bitcoins and wants to send them with maximal privacy, so she creates a special kind of transaction. For anyone looking at the blockchain her transaction appears completely normal with her coins seemingly going from address A to address B. But in reality her coins end up in address Z which is entirely unconnected to either A or B. [...]
And then Z can't spend them because according to the blockchain he never received them. Am I overlooking something or is it a stupid idea?
