101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.8.9 - native algo switching on: June 01, 2019, 02:06:45 AM

when i start miner with --cgputweakprofile 9,9,9,9 then the miner doesn't set level on 9

confirm. work only in gpu_conf

Dok will you fix this? i think setting --cgputweakprofile then the miner should pick up the value, no?

Come on dude, its not that difficicult to read the instructions !!  Huh Huh

Quote
--cgpuid 0,1,2,3 --cgpuintensity 0,0,0,0 --cgputhreads 2,2,2,2 --cgputweakprofile 9,9,9,9

Read the damn page 1 or readme or this forum !!!
u NEED to specify the gpu, intensity and threads if u are gonna use the gputweaks from command line.
U are replacing the config.txt with your command line param, dont u think the config.txt contents should be mentioned in the command line??

The dev has posted multiple time of this in the thread and still no one reads !!
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 31, 2019, 02:28:42 PM

When I stop TeamRedMiner via Awesome Miner, the console window of TeamRedMiner says "Shutting down..." and then it will exit right away. Don't you get any console message at all?

Awesome Miner do have a behavior to kill the mining process if it didn't resond to the first request to shutdown. Maybe you can increase the time Awesome Miner will wait to see if TeamRedMiner just needed a bit more time to close down in a nice manner? Increase the value of: Options -> Mining Settings -> Wait for process before terminating.

Thanks for describing the case about dev fee as well. Awesome Miner doesn't have any feature today to do this on a mining software basis. Some mining software also have different dev fee depending on algorithm.

Yeah in my case, awesome miner does an insta-kill, i tried the timeout but no avail.
I tried closing TRM with a ctrl+c, works normally, the thread shudown and miner closes
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 30, 2019, 01:35:12 PM
SRBMiner exit is graceful as in the miner exits after shutting down the miner threads.
Can u forward proper exit commands to TeamRedMiner as well, cause the miner is abruptly killed without allowing it to shutdown the miner threads.

Feature Request:
Miner fee -> most benchmarks and hashrates are before the miner fee is deducted, is there a way in which u can add the miner fee to the hashrate chart for accuracy.
Eg. miner A has 100mh @ 0% fee => 100mh, but miner B has 101 mh @ 5% fee => 95.95mh, Awesome miner selects B as the better miner cause miner fee is not taken into account.

In my profit profiles, i have manually adjusted the hashrate with different fee for each miner, would be nice to see awesome miner natively support this.
Awesome Miner is sending the same close events to all mining software.

Are you running TeamRedMiner as Administrator? That's a scenario where it can be more difficult to get the mining software to terminate in a nice way. I will investigate that a bit more.

Is this miner fee you are referring to a dev fee for mining software/firmware or more of a hosting fee for your miners? I assume it's specific to the miner and not to the pool.
In the Profit Profile Properties, Power and cost section, you can configure additional costs per miner, but it's currently only a fixed fee or additional power usage - not a percentage.

Thanks for all feedback!

No, running the miner without admin privilages.

Yes, im referring to the dev fee for using the miner.
eg, SRBMiner and TeamRedMiner have many common algos, but the dev fee for SRB is 0.85%, for TRM is 2.5% huge selection difference.
Saving the TRM hashrate as 100kh/s for an algo makes less logic, when the actual is 97.5kh/s.

Nice charts, can you post screens for the same data with a Hash per watt comparision?
Or, a google sheets link so we can view it?

110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: May 17, 2019, 01:06:34 PM
Feature Request :
  • Add a Hash/watt (efficiency) stat
  • Support for appending worker name to the password. Maybe a toggle to add to username or password
  • In a similar way add password param, like rigname, so we can change param like difficulty per template or per worker
  • Abilty to modify the default miner param
  • Abilty to use custom watchdog/reboot scripts

Thanx !!  Cheesy Cheesy
Thanks for all suggestions.

A few comments about #2, #4  and #5 above.

2) You can use the variable [MinerWorker] in the Password field and it will be replaced with the miner unique worker name from your miner. See also:
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000086024-pool-worker-names

4) As you might know already, you can at least modify some of the default parameters via the Options dialog, Managed Software section.
If you have a miner that is only API compatible with other software and want to completely customize the command line generated, you can create a user defined Managed Software defined to be API compatible with for example CcMiner. In your miner command line you can then use variables like:
-a c11 -o [PoolUrl] -u [Worker] -p [Password] --api-remote -b 0.0.0.0:[ApiPort]
The result is that you are in full control of the command line to use, but you will make use of the API from the mining software.
See also:
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000086017-generic-miner-use-any-mining-software

5) In the rules you will find the trigger type "Process Failure". Using this one you can define what custom actions to take in case some mining software crashed either once or "too many times".

Thank you !! #2,#4,#5 all great, learning deeper into awesome miner each day !! Cheesy
#5 -> the execute remote command is exactly what i need

#3 -> to clarify
Pool format: in case of merged mining
Username => Wallet.Difficulty
Password =>MergedWallet@WorkerName

In this case, currently in awesome miner, i have 2 pools with exactly the same but with different @workernames, since im using the variable [RigName] to configure the difficulty
Allowing for a pool to hold 2 variables, one for workername and one for difficulty, will help configure both variables in the templates !!

Thx for awesome awesome miner  Grin Grin

i try send PM but ypou block mesage and i must  send this...

You block AMD mem TWEAK forever with 1.8.8?
After start srbminer 1.8.8 AMD mem TWEAK not work. restart not solved this . ALways say EIO error.

Any sugest or i must reinstal windows if use 1.8.8 version?

1.8.7 and 1.8.6 block AMD tweak but after restart all work. Now 1.8.8 block AMD tweak forever Sad WTF

It does not 'block forever', if miner is not running nothing is 'blocked'. Restart solves everything.
Use --disabletweaking as i told many times and use ElioVP's tool. Don't mix and you are good.

read my post. after start 1.8.8 AMD tweak block forever. Now i not start AMD tweak. afterr restart AMD not work.

you block  this forever. this is big prbolem now . Now i must reinstal Win? howe you block this? give me any soluton for unblock EIO.dll.
you block in registry? not in memory. if block only in memory after restart and must work. i not tell not work in SRBMINER AMD not work with cli mode gui mode or any miner after 1.8.8 start. block FOREVER

And i understud why you block AMD tweak befoe start but not understud why you not  UNBLOCK AMD tweak after close srb miner?

Im tired of this, and dont have anything else to add.
You are wrong, its not 'blocking forever'. Tested on few rigs + got a few guys test it for me. After restart all good. I know you will continue your rage, but i wont react to it anymore, dont want to repeat myself 100x times again.

Men first u use  tweek for elio. second you block elio tweak program . this is ok? why you not unnblock elio ADM tweak after close srbminer? why must restart (1.8.7) computer? Npow 1.8.8 block  elio tweak and  now i must restart windows? i use you fckinhgg command(--disabletweaking) but not problem in command problem is   srminer  DEV. DEV alwys problem. U use other program for more HR adn block this program. This is big shit DEV.

HOW YOU BLOCK ELIO AMD MEM TWAEK. GIVE ANY SOLUTION FOR UNBLOCK THIS. you broke my woindows adn you say this  BEST MINER? and yes im angry . you hapy after any program broke your windows?

and not problem for not help with this. you only  use for all but give nothing. i restaret windows and i send every day this problem in this topic forever like you block forever EIO.dll

And you say you tested  not bug.but i see on your first page :fixed bug this  . fixed bug other  etc. how  you have any bug if you tested? if  you tested you never must repair any bug....this is big shit . you not test this and you repair this in other version but you so so overwhelmed to admit that you took the program and deliberately blocked it.

Hey hey livada !!
  • I have tested SRBMiner and its tweaks, it works on my vegas with 18.6.1.
  • Dont say copied, how do you know that??? Dont keep throwing mud
  • There is a valid reason he is blocking it, unlike your static timing, he is generating the timings based on timing at the time of start of miner, further changing the timing or starting the miner with custom timing will crash the gpus
  • The Dok clearly mentioned that you can run with --disabletweaking you arent satisfied
  • I use both SRBTweaker and the mem tool with other miners
  • Heres a tip for you, EXIT the miner using only Ctrl+c, in that way you have a clean shutdown. Maybe if you crash the system, the setting may stick. Nothing will persist on a reboot.
  • Ive known you from a mutual friend, if you are the one in the UPX server, DM me, i could help you.
  • And dont under appreciate the work of the devs just cause of his design choices, you cant just rant and throw mud at him cause you dont get things running
  • Ive had the SAME issue, a simple reboot fixed it

Pico = Turtle = cn_trtl
Ultralite = UPX2 = cn_upx2

Thx for the update !!

  • Ill find the remote agent and set it as admin
  • SRBMiner :
    • Over the last few version Dok has made the miner independant of any additonal file, pretty much all configs can be run via the cli, Also makes for a leaner setup without any additonal config.txt, pool.txt etc, instead of modifying each config.txt for each algo in awesome miner  Wink
    • The miner api also support HW errors reporting per GPU, which is currently unmapped in awesome miner xml
  • New coin provider :
    • As for the provider, i dint mean a new provider as such, i meant setting up the "User defined coin" to use a coincalculator.io json which isnt in the main list of coincalculator.io api
    • eg. awesome miner defined coins like "zumy", "conceal" are not in the main coincalc.io json response, but adding them as additonal json, automatically picks up the stats
    • eg. user defined coins like "mox", have additional coincalc.io json, but are not read form them even though they are added as additional json, the diff, block reward, time json data needs to be manually configured, even though awesome miner has the coincalc.io json response template and can easily map the values on it own !!  Grin Grin
SrbMiner - Awesome Miner isn't adding too much configuration in config.txt, so for most settings you should be able to just add command line parameters. Was it a specific scenario or parameter that isn't possible to add this way when the configuration file is present?
I will look into the HW error API property.

Coin provider - As you probably know already, in the Options dialog, Statistics Provider section, you can add the non-main coins for WhatToMine and CoinCalculators. You can paste the URL to the JSON file for CoinCalculators here for example.
Is it only Mox that isn't working? When I add the following URL, it loads all coin data correctly:
https://www.coincalculators.io/api.aspx?name=mox
I do see Mox in the Coins tab after adding this, and it includes difficulty, block reward and everything else.

SRBMiner : Nothing much !! Both cli and config.txt method are well designed. I asked since it was merely a convinience method Smiley
Coin Provider : It wasnt working for Nimiq and Torque(or Stellite) so i assumed all jsons dont work. Sorry, other jsons work great  Cool

Hi Patrike,

in addition to several GPU miners are available for Argon2D + variants, is there any way to map multi algo coins such as XMY more effectively since they all share the same ticker (short name)?

eg. Myriad_Argon2d from Coincalculators is determined by AM as Argon2d-DYN, but the coin itself is actually using Argon2d4096

Just mapping XMY to the right algo results in AM mapping the yescrypt variant instead of the Argon2D.

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

There is an internal override to change the algo. It works great, ive mapped mine to argon2d-250,argon2d-500,argon2d-4096, only the argon2d-nim isnt mapping as stated above.

Question : How do i run the miner instance as admin?

Request :
1. New user defined coins provider could be mapped to additonal json(coincalc or whatomine etc) as a coin provider instead of goin fully custom and mapping each parameter individually. Currently only awesome miner supported coins can be mapped to the additional json.
2. Switch SRBMiner to cli instead of config.txt

Can you modify CryptoNight UPX algorithm to CryptoNight UPX2 ? I need it for Uplexa coin

Thanks,
Vlad

I use the old name, what difference does it make to mining? I'm mining it with TRM.
