All Jr Members are now demoted to newbie= More visitors into meta. Lol.
It would be better if Jr Member requires 5 merits. Having 1 merit is really easy task. Also, it will increase the abuse a little more.

They don't need to buy, they already have 100 of account. They can easily distribute 1,1,1,1...... which will also not be suspicious merit abusing.

Is it the reason? I think you don't have right to use Bengali in Meta which is meant for global discussion = English only. It's my personal opinion though.

We really need some more merit sources, especially in local board.
I have seen huge changes in our local thread too. People used to spam for increasing activity while they are now trying to increase the quality of their post.

To be honest, no newbie will read this guideline/one pager.
You have mentioned those link as a paragraph. I doubt they will go through it. Rather a list can attract them reading. Below the list, you can leave a short message.

Technically you were an owner of 500 BTC if you mined 48 hours, imagine.

But, would you be the owner of $3250000 (as per today's price)? Holding in a bearish market is easier than holding in a bullish. Back in 2009, no one imagined, BTC will get such value. Most of them ended up with selling at 10x, even 100x which is still a tiny amount to $6500.

I have also experienced such issue in local board. Some of us have reported a guy and he got banned. But later, yesterday he created a new account and started to misbehave with us.


Unfortunately, we have nothing to do without reporting those guys continuously. This one is really a big issue. People can easily create a new account for spamming. If you have look at the patrol, you will find a bunch of brand new users is bumping ANN thread= self BUMP.

Good suggestion but-
This kind of suggestion has been posted and discussed a few times, I believe. I don't think theymos gonna implement such features.

In my opinion, this feature is not so important to have in a forum. Active users will, of course, check the message because whenever you will send a message, the receiver will be notified through the mail and check definitely.

It seems those are from account farmer but there is no strong proof which can really prove that those accounts are abusing merit system. I think you should try to attach more evidence so that DT member can take a step.

I think it would be great. People often search in youtube for learning some stuff about bitcoin. Most of the time, they end up with less valueable information while with authorized channel from bitcointalk can really ensure some quality videos which really may help people willing to learn about bitcoin.


It would be better if you specified a budget. It would help someone to decide.

As I mentioned before I am sure that a password change is not displayed 30 days. I have seen such case in local board. It is displayed for 3 days only.

Don't know how much time the warning is shown if a user changes email but if a user changes its password, the warning shows less than 1 month (I am sure), although I am not sure how much time exactly it shows the warning. I think it's not more than one week.

I don't think it's worthy to invest your $$$ on ADA. Out of those 3, ETH can be a good choice still. Also, I will suggest you refill your portfolio with at least 50% BTC cause majority of the coins from top 10 may lose their value and never back again while no matter how much value BTC lose, it will recover again.

The same has happened with ETH price history back in September 2017. It took almost more than 1 month to be recovered. If you took a look a today's price, ETH is bouncing back again, same as 2017. The transaction amount of ETH was proportionally high than the last 5 days which is also a good sign.
