I made a few small tweaks to make HYP a bit more efficient. Hoping to continue making some basic efficiency changes in order to make HyperStake even more user friendly and easy to interact with for users. 7ee0cb8 - The startup process was not using each block's databased hash and instead rehashing every block in the blockchain loading sequence. When the block headers are hashed in X11, this really takes some extra time. This reduced my blockchain load time from 83 seconds to 18 seconds. e1895f6 , aa86ef5 - Refactor the code that grabs the wallet's total stake weight and reports it in the GUI. Instead of iterating through each coin held in the wallet and calculating the stake weight (which can be a burden for very large wallets), store the calculation of coin weight that is done during the staking process. Essentially this just makes it so the wallet doesn't do the same set of calculations twice if it can avoid it. Excellent. This will hopefully lighten the load a bit.

is there a working website of this coin?
No there is not. The cofounder of HyperStake, David Latapie, owned HyperStake.com. David has passed away I think he gave me co-ownership of the domain through a website, I will have to dig through the archives and look. If not HyperStake.io could be sexy. That could be one of the first uses of the multi-sig address I am setting up for community development tasks. I am far from a webdeveloper. WTF ! David has passed away ? Very sad news especially thinking about all crap he had to deal with and the hard work he put in some projects... Yes very sad. David was a super honest and intelligent guy, great person to partner with on projects. He is definitely missed. His HYP address will always be there on the richlist as a reminder of the work he put into HYP. I didn't know David, but it's good to see that his work is not forgotten and seeing the community coming together to support and shaping the future of crypto is why we are all in this. Each one of us contributing in our own way to make a difference in an imperfect world. It's up to us to make the future shine. For all of us and those that come after us.

Is there a slack channel for HYP available? If no, we should have one...
Crypto-city has a similar (among other) functions in the "groups" section which you can make public/private/hidden and create threads for various topics etc....

you are one of the developers of PIVX correct? perhaps we need privacy integration Yes I am. I am working on a custom implementation of the zerocoin protocol for PIVX. If things go well with that, we could definitely take a look if there is interest. There are a few other items from pivx that we could borrow, such as the multisig gui that is being developed right now, which requires no forks or anything special. absolutely fantastic news! hats of to you sir, for keeping onto developments for all these years, your coding skill will pay off with hyper Im 100% interested in a zerocoin protocol integration & a fresh multisig GUI, im buying all that i can get, this ones worth 10x the price it is now, Presstab make sure you hold some for the longterm! Nice! Definitely lots of exciting things in the pipeline for HYP

Press wouldn't it be a good idea to burn off half the coins, supply is way too high
Would you want to burn half of your house because you think you have too much house? What about everyone else's houses? Burn those too? Here's another analogy. You're a farmer that grows potatoes, but you destroy half of your crop because you believed you've grown too many potatoes. Isn't there something better you could have done with the crops? Like give it to those that are less fortunate? As a result, you'd now have a larger market for potatoes? Once you've established your potato market you can always decide to reduce your future production of potatoes.

There are lots of exciting things brewing in the pipeline in regards to the future of HYP. There are no announcements yet, but there will be soon enough. It's definitely something everyone will appreciate. So be sure to also register @ Crypto-city to keep up to date and join the conversation. In the next 2-3 months, Crypto-city will undergo a complete renovation. A fresh new look and feel will emerge. We are definitely excited! https://www.crypto-city.com/index.php/hyperstake-hyp-ann/

i guess swap is inevitable
Nope. Totally against everything crypto stands for. And I will never do it. Yup. Never been not a fan of swaps myself. Swaps to me just means a lack of innovation, dedication and vision.

one thing i dont like about this coin we dont have freedom of speech.. when you post something and ask something. they delete your post..
I've not experienced anything like that in this thread. Are you sure it wasn't from the bitcointalk mods for something inappropriate? (sometimes it's all very subjective).

What happened to the Truckcoin vote at Novaexchange?
Reached 250 votes and now in "Processing..." status (see near the bottom of voting list). I guess they are syncing the wallet now, hope it will be added soon. Hood to hear.

Current requests:
Change S4C to 100% - I think I will likely do 75 or 90% for the first change. Then if that goes well change to 100%. But I can bump it, yes. Lower CPU - This will be one of the first one. Multiple changes for this. Lower Memory - Most important but also most difficult. Will take much time, but will begin to investigate this and see what can be done. Need help from the crowd on this one. What POS coins are out there that have the least memory? New coins don't count. Have to have few years under their belt.
What else?
HYP does a pretty good job for what you're looking for memory and cpu as well as resolves the S4C issue. I also mention some general issues most crypto wallets have in the last few pages of the thread. Have a look: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849.6360Yes I know HYP well. Again look at # of blocks vs amt of memory used. The ratio is still close. I authored S4C originally I know what it can and can't do. I am just not sure what it should do yet.. That's great to know. Here is the post I was talking about. Not sure if it's exactly what your're looking for, but it might help (the last paragraph): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=678849.msg19160392#msg19160392

@Tranz
Could you bump the auto-save/stake for charity for hobo and cap to 100%? Currently we can only do a max of 50%..

@presstab If you going to add segwit don't forget to add LN as well.
Lol. I just want to explore if it is possible, how much development work it would take me, is it worth it, etc. A mobile wallet might be a better benefit to HYP. It's become impossible these days to mention one without the other thanks to BTC and LTC. I think these miners have hammered their last nails to their own coffin. Long live POS, screw POW ! Plenty of room for both. Just a question of how much support each gets and with that being said, there is no doubt that btc is the most popular root crypto where all other branch from in certain respects. Nothing wrong with that, it's just part of progress. However, it isn't exactly an efficient use of resources. What matters is what we do from these points forward and each has its own unique path.

from cryptopia:
"1337 / DOGE market is paused Investigating spam trading"
What the heck is spam trading? Haven't heard it used in trading before. Hey. I got got 3 cans of spam. Who's buying? LoL LOL... That's what I would like to know as I too haven't heard of this before in trading. I wonder if it's someone trading with them self? to get the volume up and could be seen as spam trading? I'm not really sure and just taking a guess but that's what it could be lol. well i noticed that there are lots of bot trading at cryptopia, in some markets every time i place an order they automatically adjust themselves to the new orders and it makes it hard to trade. I think someone was likely trying to buy/sell to themselves to make fake volume. That's just a waste of time.

Hi everyone. Just to let you know not dead, still here. Over the next few months I plan to do some with on HBN. If (and this is a big if) I am able to I will try also push some of this over to CAP. But if others want to take my commits and bring them over that would be a good thing.
I'll post here as they happen see if anyone else want to help, or if it is just talk. My guess is 2018 - 2019 for the final set of commits, with some early ones in 2017.
Nice! Great to see some activities.
