41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO IS WAY BETTER on: March 16, 2019, 12:02:05 AM
IEO (initial exchange offering) is better than ICO,to participate in any IEO you have to be a member on the exchange launching the IEO ,this are my reasons

1)IEO is safer and better than ICO because its not what anyone can just conduct ,to conduct an IEO the project teams must meet and comply with the exchanges requirements in order to launch the token sale .

2)contributors are protected by the exchange, why? Many big exchanges offering the IEO now are after there reputations so its not easy to launch IEO through them,if the project before them is not genuine enough the exchanges won't dare take the risk.

I think this is what many investors have been waiting for , better risk limiting investment ,IEO is the only way to go
,don't forget ,DYOR ,thank you
I don't fully agree with this. The IEOs just started, I am sure we also had this feeling when ICOs initially kicked off until the negative trends started. We can only judge the IEOs after a year of performance.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will start investing in ICO if on: February 28, 2019, 11:59:48 PM
I will start investing in ICOs if
1) they can afford funds on there own to run there projects and stop relying on softcaps and hardcaps(investors money) which is why its the perfect haven for scammers ,you want to create a project that is very promising and you don't have the funds just move on ,no matter how good the project is if the hardcap is not achieved its goodbye

2)the waiting game is annoying ,if they follow my 1st idea there won't be anything holding them back especially bounty rewards ,nowadays you have to wait months for ICO to end and keep praying it become successful so as to get your rewards and the term successful from any ICO is from 'achievement of hardcaps ' this days not what the project is here to deliver ,there are still good projects out there that never launch ICO and they are doing better
I have really witnessed a lot of cancelled projects that used the hardcap and softcap as an excuse. Some usually refund their investors though, while some will disappear, who keep the project pending almost forever.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trade my eth for LTC? on: February 28, 2019, 11:59:19 PM
I’m a long term hodler. Have had a few LTC since 2014, always been a fan.

I’m consolidating my portfolio.

Would you rather 4Eth? Or 12.5LTC?

Which would you choose and why?
For the sake of future project improvement and further development, I will prefer the 4 ETH. I don't know what is actually up with Litecoin but there is no much news or update from their end.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Managing Your Altcoin Assets on: February 28, 2019, 11:58:35 PM
I have over a hundred different Altcoins, some I bought in ICO, some from Airdrop and bounty and some I bought from exchanges and selfdrop.

My problem is that I have an issue managing them, whether to sell some and keep some, but I don't even know the ones to sell and the ones to HODL, and they keep turning into shit, a help will be appreciated buddies
Then I would suggest you keep to the half rule. For each of your coins or tokens, just sell 50% while you can then keep the other half for possible future growth. I am sure this option is best.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Of KYC Pattern on: February 28, 2019, 11:58:17 PM
There have been so much issues arising from bounty hunters doing kyc. So many bounty hunters are against it. Also looking at what kyc means, it means know your customer and bounty hunters are not customers.

So my thought is this: if there must be kyc , it should be done before the start of the bounty. If you pass the kyc, you start the bounty but if you fail, you just leave it and look for some other promising bounty.

What do you think about this?
You just made a very valid point which all bounty managers of this forum should take note of because they have been the main reason for this misinformation and unnecessary compulsion of KYC at the end of the bounty campaign.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the king of Altcoin? on: February 28, 2019, 11:57:27 PM
The king of cryptocurrency is Bitcoin. But who is the king of Altcoin?

The King of Altcoin who is ETH or Litecoin? I think ETH is the reason most are used in ETH at airdrop. And the price of the ETH is much higher than all other Altcoin. The number of users of ETH coins is also much higher. Litecoin also has a number of users then I think ETH coins are King of Altcoin. It is my personal opinion. You can give your opinion. I know there is many more good Altcoin but ETH is the best. I hope everyone will give feedback.

Best regards
Coin-Desk

ETH is clearly the king with the exception of BTC. Then we can consider BCH as the next ranked altcoin. LTC to me is very far from this two as its popularity has continued to drop.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the time to buy! on: February 28, 2019, 11:52:10 PM
"Buy when there is blood in the streets" "Be greedy when others are fearful"

This is the time to buy if you want to become rich, The top coins are at bargain prices, 200 dollars for an eth, (that is an easy 5x if you hold).

I believe the whales and wall street manipulators have been keeping prices down and shaking out the noobs so they can accumulate for very cheap prices.
I am usually happy whenever I have my cash at hand and the market is dipping badly because I will be able to buy more quantities. Instead of complaining of my other coins going down, I rather just buy the new dip as everything will rise together.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if you are deceived? on: February 28, 2019, 11:48:34 PM
The best thing to do after being scammed or deceived in a cryptocurrency project or investment is to trace you steps back to understand how you fell prey to the scammers. The tactics used vary but you need to be as careful as possible.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can an Escrow be a guarantee? on: February 28, 2019, 11:46:51 PM
I saw a project and on that project I did not see the team and DEV from the project. however they use Escrow with good positive trust, can it be a determinant that the project will not be scam?
I still don't understand how this escrows work. I recently came across a bounty campaign that suggested paying the participants through escrow too. Also, I would like to know who will be in charge of the escrow because I think the tokens won't automatically transfer to the users wallets.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: February 28, 2019, 11:45:12 PM
I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

NOT FAIR.

The KYC information are never checked nor verified and as such you won't be detected even when you send in fake IDs. If the project you are sending the information is not that important to you, just ignore the KYC.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old coins vs new coins on: February 28, 2019, 11:43:37 PM
old coins: coins that went through the bull run
new coins: are ICO tokens from projects during the bear market, mostly not listed on exchanges.

It is obvious that all the aspect of the space had struggled due the giant force of bitcoin. Over the past year the average dump in price of most of the old token/altcoin from the last bull run is close to 90% while the new coin are holding to their price. Most ICOs in the later part of 2018 decided to postpone the listing which their decision could be justified or condemned as the market revives.
With the approaching news of bull run and present the value of altcoins,
1.  can the altcoins ever hit the ATH price even at $20000 bitcoin?
2. Can the new coin from ICO be an alternative even with so much old coin held in some portfolios?
3. will you choose to hold on to old coins or sell to invest into new ICOs?

Before I sell my old coins to purchase the new ones, I must be totally convinced that the new coin project is good. It will be too risky throwing away your valuable coins for a new one that may just pump and dump completely and the owners abandon it. This is most common with the new coins now.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin price chart. on: February 27, 2019, 06:51:14 PM
Do you see graph equations that are currently running. example: If we look at and also observe Bitcoin charts and other altcoins, to be honest you will see a lot of similarities. Namely up and down in rhythm. What do you think about this??
Whatever up and down movement you see in the graph is just a real time price of the coins at that time. Maybe you haven't really studied those graphs carefully to understand them.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019, A Challenging Year for Ethereum on: February 27, 2019, 06:49:02 PM
Ethereum is still at its best, dominating the dapp market in 2018. It gains the highest active number of dapp users among others. Not just that, it’s leading the market also in terms of wallet holders and total number of dapps.

But despite of the stable growth, Ethereum may find 2019 a tough year to begin with. Aside from the less transaction it has compared to the others, its dapp users needs to maintain an ETH for the gass fee every transaction. This greatly affects the dapp users experience and full mass adoption of Ethereum Dapps.

This is something an Ethereum dapp must consider and/or think about this year.

Ethereum got to its all time high of about $164 few days ago before plunging back to the current $138. That is not to say it has performed too badly as most coins have also suffered similar fate in the year so far. I believe Ethereum will finish the year strong. Still to early to predict what lies ahead.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit is dead. Is there any better alternative? on: February 27, 2019, 06:46:02 PM
A few months ago Steam it laid off 70% of their employees as the company is struggling to meet their financial goals. We all know its dead. Is there any better alternative? And do you think such alternatives can survive?
I don't believe Steemit is dead as the platform is still functioning optimally. It has still remained the choice for most cryptocurrency fans and bounty hunters to publish their articles about a new or existing project.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I won't give up on: February 26, 2019, 11:53:32 PM
It is a good thing for us to continue striving hard in cryptocurrency until the day we hit our own jackpot as some persons did during the 2017 bull run. Such a period might come again and as such we should be steadfast.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ICO is a good way to raise money? on: February 26, 2019, 11:51:01 PM
Hello , What do you think about ICO as a way of raising money in the next years? .Specially after all the scam projects we have seen before, like last time  the team of a project called elementh(https://icobench.com/ico/elementh) claimed that they have to quit the project since they did not have enough resources eventhough they raised about 8M USD , and after ICO no single step forward the development of product has been achieved.
They wanna return the money to investors as btc and eth after all this bull market (btc was about 10K usd ).

Sometimes I wish there was never ICO at all in cryptocurrency. It is very obvious that over 90% of the negative or fraudulent acts that have happened in cryptocurrency has been through the ICOs. If you also interviewed most people, they will also tell you that their losses have been through ICOs as well. It is not a good platform for raising money.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH cross $200 this week? on: February 24, 2019, 11:35:33 PM
Hello everyone as we are witnessing a spike in the value of Ethereum which was considered as most stable crypto same-time last year but circumstances changed drastically as ETH drop down to the lowest which one could ever imagine but off late we have see rise in it's value so will this be a game changer or one more burst of bubble ?
As at my last check, ETH has fallen from over $164 it was earlier today to now below $140, a situation which no one can actually explain what really happened. As a result of this bad drop, it cannot get to $200 this week. The price needs to rally again.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO investment still worth it? on: February 23, 2019, 11:23:26 PM
For the past two months almost all the ICOs i have invested when they get listed on exchange, they are reduced by about 300% of the price i bought it. Those who buy after the ICO tend to gain more profit than we the early adopters. Now am confused whether i should continue with ICO investments or stop. Guys what do you think
Yes of course, it still worth to invest in ICOs especially for a long term investment. But let me still warn that there are so much risks involved in doing this due to scammers that have flooded the whole space.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Design is important for ICO projects on: February 23, 2019, 11:21:32 PM
Do you think the design of the project is important?

The design of the project plays a crucial role. Design is able to sell well, through design you transmit emotions.

I am a product designer. If you are interested in either learning about product design, how to increase trust - ask me right here.

And if anything, here is my portfolio Smiley I can develop the logic and design of mobile and web applications, landing, etc https://readymag.com/u86741020/717105/
Every project or business plan should always have a form of design stage which is also applied to cryptocurrency ICO projects. I agree with you completely on this.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be afraid of making mistakes on: February 23, 2019, 11:18:52 PM
You can try to avoid mistakes, but never be afraid of making one and neither should you be afraid of failure.
The fear of what will happen might be a limitation.
Cryptocurrency sometimes can be very complex and funny, most especially when you find yourself in a situation you have never been exposed to.
When the market is all good, mistakes are not easily detected, but when the situation of the market seems to be on a negative side, then fear sets in and sometimes, we become afraid of what may likely happen if we take a step further, to do what we have never been exposed to.
Even if you eventually fail, it is a stepping stone to become become better and achieving greater success.

A man is expected to rise up again as many times as possible if he falls, there even if one mistake has given you a big setback, you should learn to overcome it and strive harder in the crypto world. Mistakes are always bound to happen.
