41 is totally unacceptable. Send an e-mail to support@

I did before posting, just checking the forum to see if anyone else sees the same ... Advania Tech say they can't see a problem.  Huh

I'll check/monitor again in a while to see what the temps are.

282  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: October 07, 2014, 09:57:14 PM
I have two SP10s at Advania, and they show 31 °C and 41 °C input temps respectively all evening ... way higher than normal.

Anybody else got a machine there and seeing an increase in input temps?

283  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Weekly pool and network statistics on: September 30, 2014, 09:05:11 PM
Thanks for continuing to update this post, great source of data...

+1 this is 'required reading' for miners.

284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 30, 2014, 08:56:24 PM
UK link is bad dogie, displays a BITCOIN MINER T-110S.

Copy paste fail, fixed. Can you delete the bad link from your quote please.

DONE

And yes, I deleted my own post, your link is good now.
285  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin and free testnet mining for all! on: September 29, 2014, 10:10:41 PM
Is there anyway we can see stats per worker?
I have a way of enabling that with a code change but it would require a pool restart. As I said before you wouldn't notice anything at your miners apart from the stats resetting. Do people want that for the sake of per worker stats?

Well ckolivas I'm up for it ... anyone else?

287  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: September 28, 2014, 08:14:10 PM
I'm mostly trying to find a balance between the wrong belief that "short shifts give me unfair low pay" and the wrong belief that "long shifts give me unfair low pay".

This is a good news, so many must look at pools with 1hr+ shifts and jump in, thinking BitMinter with its 12hr+ shifts will take days to fill.

The psychological angle is HUGE, good move Doc.

288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 26, 2014, 09:12:14 PM
Too true ... Rule 1: NEVER buy the first incarnation of anything related to BTC mining with Bitmain. They will learn from any problems and refine.

Then the price may ... (should) ... drop, but so will the rewards with ongoing difficulty.

289  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 25, 2014, 08:54:55 PM
they will cut production and lower prices to get rid of stock (all while mining until they sell ofcourse) and push this under the rug

No rug ... they'll go into the racks at HashNest

290  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: September 25, 2014, 08:46:37 PM
I know the S4 will never ROI, but I'd love to know what sound level they are talking about, to quote:

"* Stable but a little bit noisy".

Huh Decibel reading please Bitmain  Huh

Makes me think home mining (if you bought one) might be LOUD affair.

OH ... and can I have that coupon for 0.4 BTC please  Grin

NEWS flash: year 2000 bug gets bitcoin miner... Smiley

I have a SP10 that refuses to mine in any other year than 2000 ... I love to 'retro' mine ... the rewards aren't quite in line though  Shocked

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 24, 2014, 10:23:47 PM
Now that some of us have learnt a very expensive lesson. How do the Titan owners plan to come close to at least breaking even. Please share your strategies ?

There is no 'positive' strategy, KNC are in their dying days of supplying home miners ... once they get the 'pain in the ass' customer out of the way ... they will rely on their deathstar (datorhall) and 'informed' investors for their meals, BTC and the odd 'PERK' ...  Grin

293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 21, 2014, 09:27:21 PM
So ... this is post #254 ... and all Bitmain had to do was announce the S4 at post #1 ... lol, so much speculation over those 252 posts.

294  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: September 20, 2014, 09:37:01 PM
Huh The cost of the Corsair box plus the miner cost and ongoing electricity costs ... do you think you will see ROI?

The S3 has a good airflow built-in, does the Corsair enclosure compete/improve that? CFM would have to be the same, unless the unit exhausts quicker than the S3 fans.

295  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 20, 2014, 09:30:28 PM
If you're asking if we intend to release more advance products in 2015 then the answer is yes.

Good to hear, this 'mining game' is getting really rather thin on the rewards side as of late.

296  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 18, 2014, 09:23:32 PM
Guy, you must have an opinion on this:
http://cointerra.com/product/aire-miner-bitcoin-miner/

What are the chances that CoinTerra can deliver 16nm on spec and to the timeline stated?

Well ... they give a price, which is a plus point - but ... to quote "the AIRE Miner is expected to deliver an unprecedented performance of approx. 4.5 TH/s with best-in-class power rating".

So ... 4.5THs isn't unprecedented ... and looks like they haven't nailed the hash rate or power usage yet (god I hate that term 'best-in-class') .. we all know simulations can turn out differently to the final product.

and the S3+ ships in 3 days.

Yes, but that was a preorder ... you had to wait ... and Bitmain are changing their business model ... everything is evolving .. again.

Well the current block and that last block are sure feeling like a sucker punch after the last few weeks of good luck.

Figured I'd pre-empt the bitching about luck with some bitching of my own.

LOL, I'm sure many are thinking it, but hadn't written it ... we'll chew it, solve it and move on ...  Wink

299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 10, 2014, 07:45:59 PM
What is the DB of the SP20?

@ Spondoolies, what noise db level will the SP20 run at? How 'home friendly' is it on the noise front?
Our estimation is less than 60db

But really, is that the best you can do with the cables?

I don't have a problem with cables normally, but unless you have incredibly good cooling, those units bottom right have a rather impeded airflow due to the spaghetti.
