7LE: somehow eu server is working!!! i didn't do jack shit! Shocked

I have known miners not to connect before, using a previous worker name. Just delete the worker, add a new one, and off you go.

So far difficulty hasn't jumped too much for LTC. Less than expected anyway.

True, I thought KNCs Titan would have a big impact, truth is they screwed it up BIG TIME (along with screwing their customers)  Angry

Is it just down to pool size?

Yep, keep calm and mine on ... review your monthly/weekly stats (don't do daily) ... averages work out. The pool is gradually picking up faster hash rate.

EDIT: Pool stats are coming back up nicely.

Have the pool website stats gone down? I'm seeing zeros for all stats, workers, pool speed, hash rate, shares, network last block etc.

Miners are reporting that they are still hashing though.

Just me? Anyone else?

245  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1350 TH] CKPool (www.kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 15, 2014, 09:40:40 PM
Also, how often will the "Workers" menu update to see each rigs stats (Hash rate, etc.)?
Currently, hash rate updates about once every 10 minutes (that will change to 1m in the future)
Everything else is instantaneous e.g. you'll notice that "Last Share" can say 0s.

An observation ... moved some S3's over to the pool earlier today, and it's taken about 3 hours before they are showing their correct individual hash rate.

However, my expected combined total hash rate shown was pretty spot on after 30 minutes.

Spondoolies miners show their correct individual hash rate much quicker.

All are on stratum+tcp://stratum81.kano.is:81

Hell no, I'm not goint to be an early adopter and risk getting burned.

Been looking for that answer  ... anybody applied it ... any feedback?

Hey Kano,
Haven't  run my client yet but have you paid the last two blocks yet?
Thanks, have a good weekend.
No, just woke up a short while ago - I'll pay them shortly.

Good morning ... and on the other side of the world ... I'm about to go to bed.

248  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 Discussion and Support Thread on: November 13, 2014, 11:06:07 PM
(exception: S3 is/was acceptable).
Waiting for S5.

I'd be interested to know how much louder the S4 is to the S2 (S3s are perfect). Don't have my S2's anymore, but I remember the sound, which was OK with me (as I do remember the sound of the SP10s, and yes they went into hosting).

The S5 is clouded in secrecy for the moment, I maybe wrong, but I'm guessing:

1) Liquid cooled for the home miner.
2) Only available via hashnest?

We'll see.

249  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: November 13, 2014, 10:11:13 PM
Is it still playing the sound for NMC blocks? It's only supposed to react to BTC blocks after I removed NMC blocks from the livestats latest blocks list.

I'll check and let you know, (when did you remove it?), given the length of blocks these days they sometimes 'pop' whilst I'm away. Pretty sure it caught me out last week.

*EDIT: Well there you go, whilst I was typing that we get another block, and didn't have the https://bitminter.com/livestats/big page up.

The live stats page (full size version) can play a sound when a block is found if you turn it on.

Yep, use it all the time ... trouble is (when I hear the sound) ... I check the computer .. is it NMC or BTC?

Bummer when it's NMC .. how about different sounds for different currency? (Just an idea).

251  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 11, 2014, 09:52:05 PM
@ Sponds ... Just an observation ...

The new price on the SP20 at $795 with an additional $80 discount for repeat customers only lasts for 72 hours.

The sales email says "Not sure which power supply to select? We'll be adding a PSU guide in the next couple of days..".

Now PSUs have been discussed here on the forum, but not all of your customers are members here. If it takes 48 hours to post PSU recommendations on your site, then only 24hrs remain to order (presuming the PSU guide does get listed in 48hrs).

People will need time to research costs etc.

or merged mining does harm your chances to hit a block in a way that no one fully understands.

Now that is an interesting comment, no idea if it carries any weight though.

As usual in mining, only time will tell and the overall luck and variance from week to week and month to month will give the bigger picture about this rather lucky (at present?) pool.

253  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: November 10, 2014, 11:01:20 PM
Hello ... we have a new heavyweight on the block (no pun intended) ... bitasch, ever increasing firepower as I watch, hope you'll be around for a few days to bust the 7 red out of 10 last blocks solved.

EDIT: Gone as quick as they arrived ...

255  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 10, 2014, 08:43:00 PM
How common is it for these ASIC loops to drop off or need to be disabled?  Essentially that is reducing your mining power....  Expected lifespan?  Do we even know?

I've got one of the first SP10's ever made and no ASIC dropouts.

ditto. still the world's best miner

Ditto as well ... but I don't think this problem ever showed on the SP10s, it's a SP30/31 thing and maybe now the SP20. (Stand to be corrected if I'm wrong).

SP10 ... solid as a rock!

256  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S5 Speculation on: November 10, 2014, 04:38:52 PM

Most likely liquid cooled again, looks like liquid bubbles behind the S5 lettering.

Hello,

Does anyone have any info about https://www.mining-asics-technologies.com/ and their Bitcoin and Scrypt Miners?

I'd like to kow how legit they are. Thanks

All ASICS are out of stock, scrypt apparently available, not sure I have seen these guys mentioned on the forum before?

Scary picture for sure ...

Brings a whole new meaning to 'Hot aisle/cold aisle'.

One of these guys used to post on the german forum section. Completely retarded, utter nonsense. Stay away from this.

Ahh, give it to them, they got balls for their future business plan "by pushing 300-400 petahash into the market quickly in Q1 2015, and growing our presence from there, we triple or quadruple the difficulty for a limited time, to achieve a new efficiency standard in mining and on the blockchain'.

*WARNING*

I wanted to give a shout out to toomim brothers excellent customer service.

+1

I have miners with jtoomim that have 'interesting characteristics' and at times need attention, jtoomim have (in my opinion) unrivaled knowledge (maybe apart from Sponds themselves) and are more than worthy of being quoted as a hosting partner on the Spondoolies site.
