You can actually go 50 MHs+ on a vega 56 with Hynix.  This one can go 52 MHs+ at 1090+ core.

AMD LINUX DRIVERS 20.1 ARE OUT--

These drivers may be downloaded from AMD.  The drivers support all current RX series cards, including the RX 5600 series with the last-minute BIOS upgrade from AMD proper.

They may take some manipulation to install on Ubuntu 20.04.  Ubuntu 20.04 has Linux kernel 5.4, and includes kernel-level support for the entire RX series of AMD GPUs.

--scryptr

I fully test 20.04 LTS Server, seems very stable and perform very well, install amdgpu-pro drivers was a pity...to resume:
- amdgpu-pro-opencl-19.30/50 OK DKMS and some others dependencies NOT OK = can mine and overclock but i don't like "50/50 working modules in my distros"
- amdgpu-pro-opencl-20.2.1 full drivers support + DKMS OK but shity hashrates expecially on ETH algos so rolled back to 18.04 LTS Server

Just have to wait for devs to update miners, i'm worried about TRM devs...seems dead since 2 mounths or just busy!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: April 30, 2020, 11:42:43 AM

If you're lucky, you might find a Vega 64 vbios for that same card (if they made em both 56 & 64), which is unique.. not much out there, Pulse, only 56 afaik.

That however doesn't mean they're crappy, i've got a Sapphire Pulse with Hynix memory and it's running smooth at 47~Mh (memory at 975).
Got a Samsung Vega56 too and hits 48+Mh..

The thing is, they only have 6 SOC states, so it gets auto forced into a lower memory state (800MH), you can see this in the tool..
Vega 64 has 8 SOC states, therefor it goes to the highest memory state (1000Mh).

Can you explain this, i'm interested in getting this hasrates and also any optimizations for my wonderfull 56s Pulse nano watercooled???

What PPT/timing to use for "all-cryptos-round config" with  Vega56-113-376XL-UO2-180315.rom
More specifcly what timings for ETH?

I'm ready to share all i have (PPT, Monitoring...) and i have a lot, so if you guys are interested... 975mem on our tinies nano pcb+hynix mem is that a joke?
Just need to set to maximum "sclk 5" right?!

My rocm-smi PPT, Ubuntu 18.04, AMDGPU-Pro 19.30:

I hit 42.6 with Hynix and 44.9 with samsung stock timing!

Man... you all use so much power on your vegas.
I have 1950h/s - 1990h/s with both the core and mem at 880mV (stock timings still, I don't have them that long yet. Still learning Vega Smiley ))
The core powerdraw is avg 117W, with dips to 95W and spikes to 130W (Eth & CNr)
The mem i can't get an accurate reading, not even with HWinfo. It is stuck at 1.2V without budging once, but changing the mV does have impact on stability and hashrate, so I'm sure it's not 1.2V)

I ran several autotunes and used those configs
ilovetrm

As a sidenote. the list devices batfile recognizes all my 4x0 and 5x0 as 580's.
Dunno if that's normal?
And with autotune, my 4gb cards are faster than my 8gb cards.
It's a mishmash of brands and memory brands tho.(no vega's in these rigs just fyi) (the MSI armor 470 8Gb Micron is just abysmal. Barely breaking 700h/s)

https://ibb.co/vc2qXPj

Not changing the fact i get bewteen 100-200H/s more...

Muuum i'm thinking that i didn't use timings before and 56 pulse is a nano PCB; do you think timings can screw up all of this? i'm using newly Minerstat OS exp. (18.04-19.10) flashing the stable version now...if it's not good ill back to *+* with stock timings and report here...antoher question i set up my mem voltage to 875-900-950 for a mem clock of 950 any advise?

Auto exchange not working LTC or BTC for none of my coins, that's very frustrating, i have not time for this, fix this quick.
Before you ask; i have 0.10342767 XMR for exemple it's about 6.26€ now, so fairly enought to be exchanged....

my vega & rx rigs thank you for 1.7.0 doktor!

I use minerstat switcher for this rig (this is my PC in fact...) which cannot reach old api requirements (which change on every release too)....

API in SRB changed on every release?

Hello !
Is it possible to set up a forcerestart windows 10 when the miner crash? Every miner crash I lost remote access (teamviewer, google remote) to the mining RIG and I need to acces physically to the rig for shutdown.

Well if windows hangs then you can't do anything else but restart the machine physically.
Maybe you should lower a little bit your overclocking settings so it won't hang ?

I tried but my Vega ( 56 reference blower) are already running at low speed 1395 / 925 . Miner crash every couples of days  (5-6) , there is only 1-2 compute error per card after one week running. I don't know how to identify the bad one.

No i'm wrong (fast answer... i was deleting my post.sorry..) just minerstat default value didn't match with the new/old 1.6.8
"(- API parameters now have to be set in start.bat (--apienable, --apiport, --apirigname) , removed them from config.txt)"

I use 1.6.8 for r9 280 dx, i need to check when minerstat auto-update miners to force it to roll back/downgrade....it's ok for a 10€/month miner not for my 3x6 Vega 56 (Sapphire Pulse 56 nano PCB which are amazing...btw!)

1.7.0 for my 56s running ok with default settings, it seems to draw less power than 1.6.9 and prev'

No problem i got used to angry people  Grin
What is really making me confused sometimes is that some complain on XY gpu new version is a lot worse, while others for that same XY gpu say the new version is a lot better. Smiley

I know something got 'lost' for older cards on the road, in the next version i will again add a 'useless extra tuning gadget', which will maybe bring back what got lost for those older cards.

yeah angry people in a angry "beautiful" world (sense?!!!) .... Grin
fact is f*** windows 10 of s***** likes to make jokes:
i used to experiment (when i was a cryptominer kid  Smiley ) some services, user assignments, regedit, drivers, UEFI access related to storage/pci-e, -- inherents, non-logicals, "can't be" errors...(we are not talking about stock bios /brand programming, OC, risers, dual PSUs ((server(Gpu+Riser)/pc(MB)) wired together with floppy port) and all hardware/software config  yet  Wink  Grin )  Grin

What i remember:

- Clean hardware installation and bios settings (for exemple: DO NOT assign and boot on dGPU but on igpu; i can read this bullshit everywhere! i work with TB250 BTC and trust me that's a mess!)
- Very clean, step by step Windows 10 installation and set up (for exemple: W10Pro no often the best one, i recommend business or workstation ; i use in order (if it can help) :

1 W10 Updates,
2 Activation script,

5 Reboot,

After the test of your latest version 1.7.0 I am at a loss?
srb 1.6.9 pitcairn 370 2 gb stelite v4 --- 485h / s
srb 1.7.0 ---- 226h / s
total failure
Hi i got  less hashes with 1.7.0 on my tahiti too. Can you share your 1.6.9 miner settings for pitcairn? Thank you.

Need more info, like is it stellite only or EVERY algo? same settings? what have you tried beside running new version with old config ?

I dont have every possible gpu to try out when coding, sometimes what pushes one card, takes off another, so dont be immediately mad bros  Cheesy
Absolutely no complaints, just results. In my case, for tahiti the most productive version is still 1.6.8, 1.6.9 is a little slower, 1.7.0 much slower. ( same settings, algo v8)

which card specifically, and what was the hashrate on 1.6.8 and what it is on 1.7.0 ?
I want to try to fix this issue.

Same here epic failure  for r9 280 Dual-x  (compute errors, 0 h/s, red everywhere, no need to ask drivers, oc, compute, lock memory pages all ok! i have a Vega 56 rig too doing better but still 100w more for V8 than V7 and 100h/s less...
)
i dont want to be disrespectful with your awesome work and support (really) but:

As you ask on your 1.7.0 release post: NO! WE DONT WANT USELESS EXTRA TUNING GADGETS to mine 10h/s more but screwing up 50% of our gpu's and all pasts benchmarks.

I mean of course if it's usefull, like very usefull i'm ok but:
i MINE : CryptoNight ,CryptoNightAlloy, CryptoNightArto, CryptoNightB2N, CryptoNightFast   ,CryptoNightHaven ,CryptoNightHeavy   ,CryptoNightItalo , CryptoNightLiteV7, CryptoNightSaber, CryptoNightStelliteV4,   CryptoNightV7, CryptoNightV8 with a profitability switcher that i coded
if i need to bench (x8)²x508x48 possible settings/cards/algo on every release i'll rather to stop using a tool that will makes me spend more time to bench and set up than to mine ...

SO PLEASE YOUR PROGRAM IS GREAT!= new goodies or i dont know how do you call this (fragments, bralock, aes) and all these ****** settings which makes me pull my hairs off for 1 week to earn what: 10h/s or 0========E X I T !

hi
i get an app "check profitability" freeze/crash on:
code: Cancelled profit task 3.
Each times i restart on a different coin but always seems to stuck and stop! sometimes it passes (1/5 approx.)

and: MineCryptonightApi not working (i'm interested by LTHN profitability check...)
only one message returns: Failed to get profits data from MineCryptonight Api: The specified key 'cryptonight-lite-tube_factor' does not exist in
the ExpandoObject.

Wonderfull app...when it's working

Please solution or fix!!!

I have 5 vega56 Adrenalin 18.6.1
3 gfx 900 give by 1850 ~
2 gfx 901 give 1000 ~
what is the problem?

why my vega 901 give 1000 h/s
Vega 900 1800 h/s
How to raise hashrate on 901?

If you are using the binary kernels try to rename that folder and let the miner compile it again.

hi same here:
not working for me:
vega 901 give 1200
vega 900 give 1200
?

Same for me help plz (tip is to disable hbcc but it also low my hasrate when switching to other algos (haven,alloy...)
