As LoyceV said, merit can be received through abuse and it can't be a solution (Although I have voted for that option too before reading the discussion). I think the current rule should be continued since copy/paste is really a bad practice.

Am I the only one feeling there is not enough space to put a lot of badges in the profile?
I believe it would encourage people (real user) to set custom trust list. I personally have no choice but to believe the DT since I didn't have a deal here till now.
Most of the forum members only care about the trust system when they are looking for a signature campaign. I don't think there will be a change. And if we think about the people who are here for not only earning some money through signature campaign, I mean the people who care about the system truely or had some deal, we will have a lot of people using the custom trust list.
Besides, as I mentioned at the beginning, if there are a lot of badges in the profile section, it will look annoying, IMO.

I was also thinking of suggesting this. That's what I do when I have to post something similar which I already have posted. In this way, OP will not be acused for plagiarism in any way.

Nothing is going to be happened. It will only be continued as long as they have sMerits and after a long time, they will be out of sMerits. This way, abuse of merit will be dropped significantly.
theymos can manually reverse the merit transcation of such kind of profiles but this will be a huge task for him if he do it continuously. There is only one case where theymos reversed merit transaction.
I don't think this going to be happened. In the Merit ANN thread, it says, "Merit transaction is not moderated." In only excessive case, theymos may reverse.

I believe this was suggested couple of times. I don't thnk anything is going to be changed.

That's what is happening, IMO. This thrend will be continued for a couple of months.

Afaik, all the signature participants and contestants were paid, some gets double too due to lack of management.
Did anyone investigate more on it? I am wondering what was the intention of the owner.

If owner's intention was to build a forum, why did he disable access on the forum? I am quite sure there is a secret intention on this. Otherwise, he would not paid everyone.

Banned accounts are read only mode. He only can read/browse the forum, can't write or pm anyone.

Can we request theymos to promote some of these threads through factoid? Till now, there is 2 slots related to forum, one is about trust list and another is about merit. It would be good to promote either this thread directly or some of threads listed here.

There are 2+ million member here but how many are active? If you consider the active members only, isn't 119 merit sources sufficient? Besides, a lot of members are also spending sMerits who are not merit sources. We should consider the circulation of sMerits, not the merit sources.
Currently, sMerits are being poured mainly at meta, bitcoin discussion and local boards. The only board which is not getting enough merit is Altcoin Discussion. Regarding this, I can say this board isn't getting enough merit because the quality of that board is very poor. No real discussion is happening there. People are only participating on that boarrd only for fulfilling the signature requirements. Lots of garbages are being posted daily. Therefore, no one with good intention will spend sMerits there.
I believe the system is working fine and we do have available sources too. We need more sources on some local boards, one may be Indian board.

For account recovery, theymos said if it was possible to maintain, he would throw $100k instantly for that. Sorry, I could not link that but that's what he said. Therefore, I don't think theymos will introduce such system. By the way, theymos is developing an automation system for account recovery, afaik.
