Didn't QuickSeller had bunches of positive feedback from a lot of DT. He was once offering escrow too and everything was going fair but what happened later?
Lauda had also a good reputation but later s/he had done a unfair deal.
If the forum itself suggests some escrow and they end up scamming people, who will bear the loss? By the way, I can't remember who said, "theymos has a trust issue and that's why forum account recovery has gotten worst." Therefore, there is 0 possibilty of having such kinda bitcointalk endorsed escrow.

I neither have trust issue with Jet Cash nor with jackg, I was trying to clear the scenerio what can happen in future.

You may check some posts from old days regarding those. I believe you will definitely gather huge knowledge. The discussion were quite healthy the then time.

I have tried to find out but seems there is no way to find users total password change/reset history. You may contact with @yogg since he was also searching for such kind of data last year.

Logically, you don't have to send sMerits before being a merit source. For applying to be a merit source, you need to pick 10 recent posts which deserve to be merited but didn't get enough merit. Anyway, before doing that "you have to be somewhat established member."

The inequality which you have mentioned can barely be seen. Some posts don't get enough merits and that's why people are open to apply for being merit source. Anyway, I personally think that the merit distribution is currently enough, the only exception may be in some local boards which don't have any merit source till now. Also, the system still didn't pass 1 year. Our forum is quite big and definitely, it will take some time to work more efficiently. The abuse (getting merits in shitposts) has also been decreased vastly although it's not possible to reduce at 0. But over the span of time, it will reduce more and we will see a 99% equal merit distribution.

Thank you for sharing this. I already have created a thread in B&H regarding this since newbies will be the victim at most. I barely think this app will be something worthy for us.

It may be any single entity who holds a huge share of a specific coin.

I personally prefer to hold for a long time since I am still a newbie for cryptocurrency although I am in huge loss right now.

If you create a valueable post, you will definitely get merits. Check how people are getting merits from posts which have been posted before couple of months. It may take some times but deserved post will definitely get.

You can have alt account, not a single one. You can own a lot of alt accounts.

Agreed but I still appreciate those who reports post, plagiarism, scam expecting merits. Because they are truely helping the forum a lot with their efforts.
The fact is, the logic behind putting merits vary person to person. For example, marlboroza put sMerits on different scam report posts while Jet Cash is quite opposite of it. On the other hand, Jet Cash put sMerits on underserved posts (admitted by himself), just for not quoting the OP which I am not agreed.
Earlier, r1s2g3 have said to check users bpip whether he is banned or not, while suchmoon (probably) said quality is the only reason to send sMerits, no matter who he is what he has done(exception plagiarism).

I am still a newbie and trying to learn trading and more stuff related to cryptocurrency.
Recently I have watched a video from a youtube channel which was really informative and a must watch video for beginners. That's why I am writing here.
In that video, the guy has shared 3 reasons why day trading should be avoided, specially for beginners. I will sum up the main 3 reasons here so that you can understand the video easily.

1. Insider trading
We usually see that some coins get pumped when it is listed on a new exchange, of course on a big one. I will use the same example given by the youtuber which has happened with me too.
I bought BCH after hearing the news of listing it in coinbase. I bought at $4k which was too late. The pump was started before the announcement. So, definitely someone from the insider team of coinbase had bought at lower price and sold to people like us. It was really a bad experience for me. Although, I didn't have to face huge loss. It was around $500.

2. Whales
Whales are generally persons who have a huge amount of money and they can manipulate the market easily.
Although this was not happened with me. Generally they put a big order with a lower price which gives investor a wrong message of bullish moment. When some order filled, they withdraw their order. Before that they put order of selling coins with a higher price. Simple, they sell their coin with a higher price by putting fake order. They same also goes for buying too.

3. Pump and Dump group leader
Those person usually targets a low cap coin and buys huge gradually. After filling all his orders, he start to shill and give signal to his group members to invest in that coin. Everyone invests, leader sells, asks his group member to sells. But who is facing the loss? People like us who doesn't realize the system and get into the boat at a wrong time.

Those are the majo reasons why day trading is very much risky for beginners.

That's because of the bounty. Personally I prefer not to have those or turn of signature in some specific boards, at least in meta and bitcoin discussion. Leave people do whatever in the other section. I am kind of noobs in bitcoin/cryptocurrency. I read most of the stuff regarding bitcoin whenever I get time. But I get bored when I see some shits, specially from higher rank with a signature.
For example-
Answer is not even kinda related to OP. A sr member is fulfilling the campaign requirements. If signature was turned of on bitcoin discussion, we don't have to face those. Only necessary discussion would be taken place, and people can easily get some worthy post to read.

I had the same feeling as of you when I first joined the forum. If I can remember correctly, I had reported some post too but those post were not deleted. Now, I have quited reporting such kinda post.

To be honest, I would definitely put 1/2 merit here in your post if you don't beg for it. It's ridiculous. You do have the ability to contribute in the forum, in fact, you have done with the post but the sentence resists me to send sMerit here.

Guys, merit is pretty easier to earn if you don't run after it. You don't have to be someone with extraordinary knowledge. You can simply browse the forum as a place of gathering knowledge. Join in the discussion. People will definitely send you sMerit whenever they find your post worthy.

I have seen all those within one and a half month. And the mental health issue was one of the most funniest I have ever seen. I have seen that one yesterday though. People are so funny.

And you said it's impossible to be a Legendary anymore. Well, Ddmrddmr has started with 0 merits and s/he has earned 1200+ merits. LoyceV has earned almost 1300 merits so far.
Maybe in your case, it may take some more time but at the end of the day, 1000 merit is not so much, you don't even need the whole 1000.

At least, you didn't say my wife/my mom/my dad/my sister/my friends used my account. Nice way to approach.
