From my point of view and looking at the current situation, I prefer to buy at exchanges. During token sale the price is high and also if we buy at exchanges, we get time to know about the project. Until listing or even after 2-3 months of listing, we can surely identify if any project is genuine or not. There are two advantages. Price is low and risk is also low investing in project once its get listed on exchanges.

Next year 20120 around May, due to great grand event of Bitcoin halving reward, post few months we will see surge in bitcoin price. Projects which are legit, will also share the ride and will give good returns.

I dont think we can do much about these scam projects which are stealing money from investors. Only thing at the moment can be done is that to avoid them. With introduction of regulations(strict), situation would be better.

Truly speaking, for me as a simple social media platform user, there is no difference if its blockchain driven or not. Blockchain is all about secure, faster transactions and transparency. When it comes to advertisement or marketing part with these social medias, then there could be some influence of blockchain technology into it. However, I see a great advantage to platform owner than its user if its based on blockchain technology.

Discount is something which a retailer can give on the product which he brought at a certain price. Here with projects, they themselves setting up a price and gives 25-50% bonus based on the levels. This is totally wrong and false information from projects. I think its just a marketing strategy to sell the tokens, as investors get attracted or inclined to buy the tokens.

A true investor is the one who believes in the project and wait until the complete development of project. Now a days everyone wants to sell their tokens as soon as it is listed on exchanges. This does not give good returns and then project and team is blamed for so called failure.

So far, for me, I would like to sum up for ICOs in 2019 as failure. If we see average projects(few exceptions), either projects failed to raise enough funds or later turned out as scams. Also this has lowered the confidence of investors for new investments. Lets see what 2020 brings.

I see the benefit in staking. For staking, we don't need to do anything apart from keeping the coins or tokens in project's ecosystem. For mining, it needs more resources so kind of additional investment. However I am not sure which gives more stable returns.

Yes that is true but this kind of news is kind of expired by now.
Those scammers have done it a year ago and they had been successful. Now, there is not much people who really want to risk a lot to new projects and it is hurting them. But the old ones are still on going. Bitcoin is one example of it. Not all will be affected by it anymore.
You are right. Old is still gold. But I think more research and innovations required for future prospects of blockchchain technology. If this is affected by scam projects, there will not be complete stop but delay to entire cryptocurrencies growth.

From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects. Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects. This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure. Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects. I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it? Please apply your thoughts.

you are right. Looking at the amount of tokens we see on final spreadsheet and the ICO price, its very flowery presentation of the rewards, maybe more than $100-$500. But when the token gets listed, the correct picture we see and realize that the reward amount is actually few dollars only. I think, projects should give rewards in ETH or Bitcoin for same campaign values. But it will be definitely not profitable for projects, next to impossible.
