To some extent, yes. But not whole cryptocurrencies industry is fake. There may be different individual views on respective experiences, but looking at the entire market value and growth, it's not true.
Perhaps exchanges may create false or fake volumes but entire market capitalization is not surely fake.

Previously last year also I have seen some such events by Yobit. We should definitely stay away from this exchange and also projects offering their ico on this exchange.
I don't know why investors don't do due deligence before investing.

In terms of cryptocurrencies business this is great news. However, governments should work on avoiding money laundering cases. Making KYC compulsory for all exchanges operating in their region could do something. KYC and AML should be top priority for exchanges also.

Good analysis and thanks for bringing this up. But then can we say that the projects which are holding their IEO on these exchanges are scam or going to turn out as scam later?
Many projects I see holding their IEO on p2pb2b. So extra caution is required, I would say.

Reviewing projects which as posted in bounty thread by moderates a good idea. But not sure if it is feasible for them or not.
I must say the the reason behind such bounty managers running bounty without doing due diligence is because they must be getting paid in ETH or BTC. So they don't worry about project's future.

I have now decided to join campaigns only from reputed BMs.

Now a days it doesn't matter the duration of bounty. What's so ever is the duration, payment will not increase beyond the bounty pool allocated.
Also observed with few projects that they fail to raise enough funds irrespective of bounty duration.

Ethereum's near Future, looks good. It may touch $600-$700 this year.
However it's not possible at the moment for eth to cross btc value. BTC is very far and stronger than ETH.
