Ive only noticed the high stales (false submits?) for bitclockers, so I highly doubt its the hopper at fault since the whole lot of other sites would have had similar instances.
I've suspected this is the issues causing the higher than normal stale rate across the board. I'm getting 2-4% stales on every site, and I've noticed that the vast majority come when the proxy switches pools. I think it is more pronounced for bitclockers because of his anti-hopping tactics, which I assume are to blame for the connection issues I was complaining about earlier. So, when I would lag out, move away then move back, the shares being submitted were probably for the last pool

This will be the best PR you guy can get Help the guy who helps you. This is what small pools are all about. Exactly, a little altruism here and there never hurt anybody, and we can probably end their block from hell, which will make us look really good. You want to turn the negative attitudes from miners, this is the way to do it. I guarantee you they will all appreciate it. I'm not saying stop mining at profitable pools, but as a backup here and there, help a brother out

Just because I always get a little tickle when I see 420 anywhere... They got that far, they should aim for >10mil atleast I actually feel really bad for them... we should all jump in there and get them past this horrible hump. It'll be good PR hurrah for self quoting.. I just did actually, set them up as my backup. It would be really nice for others to do so as well. If enough of us jump in there it would be a huge help, and given they are considering changing their payout structure to keep us out, maybe it would discourage them from doing so

nice, 3 pools hoppable right now. Anyone able to get bitclockers to work with any regularity? I keep getting lagged out
Bitclockers is working fine. You have to test all 4 different servers for bitclockers. pool.bitclockers.com pool2.bitclockers.com pool3.bitclockers.com pool4.bitclockers.com I started by pinging them all and personally 3 and 4 are the best for me. I did, 3/4 ping best for me as well, and I have tried both, and neither works for more than a couple minutes at a time before it lags out. I'm not sure why, because watching the log it seems the requests are coming pretty well, but there is the occasional error, and bitHopper moves on

BTC world stats appear delayed. The English stats appear current but the German ones that are scraped appear stuck, looks like a caching issue. I sent a note to the pool operator about it.
I'm seeing the exact opposite behavior, my english stats are stuck at 21,832, and my german stats are more updated at 32,493

Anyone else getting this error: Caught, jsonrpc_call insides DNS lookup failed: address 'http' not found: [Errno -5] No address associated with hostname. I get it from time to time, doesn't really break anything but I wonder if it's something I broke myself during a merge or if others see it as well? Check your config... I'm betting you have http:// before the mine_address of a pool

I can remove that in 3 seconds if you want. JSONs aren't for human eyes anyways.
Probably best, it was a 3 second fix on my side too, but it won't work for everyone else. Either way, it is a good idea to have it fixed in the software on our side as well, because a lot of operators aren't as open to making changes as you are

Do you have a json api url that would be easier on the servers? With maybe a faster refresh?
http://www.unitedminers.com/?action=apiIf you need more info then provided let me know. I just added valid shares to that JSON by request and I can add more if need be. c00w: I modified the config to use his json api, but I found a small issue in your parsing code if server['api_method'] == 'json': info = json.loads(response) for value in server['api_key'].split(','): info = info[value] if 'api_strip' in server: strip_str = server['api_strip'][1:-1] info = info.replace(strip_str,'') round_shares = int(info) self.UpdateShares(args,round_shares) I modified it to look for api_strip, and remove the offending character. In this case, he has a ',' in the result. Edit: nevermind, I added it as an issue on github

c00w: you latest update == awesomeness. I had just forked your code to add the ability to enable / disable (including the info option) from the web on the fly, and you implementation is far superior than what I was going to do. You, sir, kick ass. Sending a btc your way
