4  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best crypto exchange? on: April 28, 2020, 04:07:47 PM
Currently the binance is the top crypto currency exchange. You can trade in binance. Because there is good liquidity in binance, you can easily sell and buy big amounts. But no exchange is safe. The exchange will only be used for trading. Never hold your fund on the exchange. Exchange owner can do any kind of drama at any time. So it's good to be careful.

I agree with you. Agree is currently one of the best (if not the best) exchanges for altcoin trading. It features plenty of liquidity and they've been around for a while now. Although a lot of people might feel otherwise but it doesn't change tjat fact. When Binance was hacked, they compensated users from their funds. I mean – nobody literally lost during the hack. Since then, I'm sure they've beefed up security. That aside, centralized exchange should mainly be used for trading purposes and not storing funds.  How to increase security?

1. Activate both SMS and Google Auth.
2. Don't use APIs (even though it's safe to use).
I use the services of coinsbank, personally, everything suits me
most importantly they ensure the security of my transactions
you can select and connect google authenticator as well as SMS notifications
use it. recommend

CoinsBank sees my transactions and addresses, because I spend my transactions through them
And I do not see this as a problem
Well, as long as you are aware that CoinsBank record everything they can about you, from your real name, address, date of birth, IP addresses, etc., through to your crypto addresses, transactions, and holdings, and share that information with governments, law enforcement, marketing companies, third party merchants, banks, data harvesting and processing companies, and anyone else they like, as per their exhaustive privacy policy here: https://coinsbank.com/privacy.

I will never understand people who don't have a problem with such a complete and total invasion of their privacy.

And anonymity is only possible when you use cryptocurrency
In the case of using fiats, then everyone will show their data
Anonymity is only possible if you use cryptocurrency in the correct way to give yourself anonymity. The way you use cryptocurrency - via a third party custodial web wallet who shares or sells your data to anyone they like - gives you less privacy than if you used fiat.
If you think that in the modern world it is possible to remain anonymous 100%, then you are greatly mistaken. And working with cryptocurrency is no exception
At the moment, CoinsBank suits me and for 3 years they didn’t give me reason to doubt, transactions take place without delays, I am satisfied
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy in Bitcoin on: April 06, 2020, 11:48:26 AM
The main thing is to choose a good wallet, and there will be no problems with security and anonymity
A good wallet will keep your coins secure, but there is a lot more to staying anonymous than simply picking a good wallet. While the correct wallet is necessary to stay anonymous, it is not the only factor. If you use a web wallet you will never be anonymous. If you run your own full node you could potentially be anonymous, but not without taking further steps and precautions.

Which wallet are you using?
A variety of wallets, holding different amounts of bitcoin, some of which I access daily, and some of which I haven't accessed in several years.

I have been using CoinsBank for 3 years, and there has been no reason to regret my choice so far
CoinsBank is a custodial web wallet, meaning they hold all your private keys, can watch all your addresses, and can see all your transaction. It is neither secure nor private.
CoinsBank sees my transactions and addresses, because I spend my transactions through them

There was a time where  Bitcoins transactions were thought to be super private
No there wasn't. Bitcoin has never been anonymous.

One can actually trace the address and if a person uses the same address a lot of times it is really not hard at all to connect it to an identity because of the KYC that now every wallet needs .
Every wallet? What are you talking about? If your wallet requires you to complete KYC, then you are either using the worst-of-the-worst (and probably a scam), or you are not using a wallet at all. The only thing that requires KYC is an account on a centralized exchange, which is categorically not a wallet, and if you are storing your coins there long-term then you at high risk of losing them all. Any good hardware wallet, software wallet, paper wallet, mobile app, etc., does not require KYC or even an email address to use.

Further, any good hardware or software wallet will automatically generate a new address for each receiving transaction and a new address for each change output to prevent address reuse. If your wallet doesn't do this, again, you should change wallet.

Totally agree with you
The main thing is to choose a good wallet, and there will be no problems with security and anonymity

Same here. Let me present my story, after opening account this morning.

Please see the transactions below:

Trade III and IV occurred in December 2017. And it was a result of deposit of additional funds to the CoinBank.
January and February they charged all my deposit holdings for inactivity.
In year 2017 and 2018 they did not charged my account for inactivity. Now it is zero BTC on my account. They started to make this charge from the beginning of year 2019.
I did not receive any notification regarding future charges.

I strictly recommend to check your funds in CoinsBank.
There is no guaranty that this guys did not put their hands on it without notifications.

Offcourse, Coinsbank cannot be used as a wallet since they may charge all your funds in two month.

COINSBANK is SCAM!
Do not mislead people
Do not withdraw money from your account if you do not use your account for a month
I didn’t have this
Contact technical support and they will help you figure it out.
9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked. 7000 BTC stolen. on: May 11, 2019, 12:39:11 PM
There is already a thread about this here is the link .
But anyways just as I said on the other thread thanks to them no user funds are going to be affected.
But the trust of their user would surely be affected by this incident.
It would really be affected yet I have already pulled out my entire funds with this exchange and only make deposit when I do tend
to make trades and not letting my coins sitting there for too long. This had been said a thousand times already that don't store up your
crypto on an exchange yet theres no certain thing when it comes to safety matters.
This will directly change the value of trust in the Binance exchange. Whereas previously binance exchange was known as an exchange service that had a very good reputation. now a community like you is the same as I think that now I am worried to save a large amount of bitcoin. I feel that saving Bitcoin in a wallet like Ledger is the safest thing.
I have been using the CoinsBank platform for several years.
During this time, there were no problems and the theft of my bitcoins
They have in my opinion one of the best security systems
Try it and you will be satisfied with the quality of the transactions
And pay attention, from 9 to 13 June there will be a blockchain cruise
It will discuss various topics in the crypt world, well-known speakers are expected to speak.
Including the topic of security exchanges will be raised

Which wallet do you use for storing your ERC-20 token?

I personally like MEW because it's very easy to use. Some people like Trezor or Ledger but personally I have no problems by using MEW  Smiley
In MEW you have complete access to your private keys.
Coinsbank easy to use and understand what you're doing. The transactions feel safe enough. For an exchange to trade into fiat currencies, I would recommend it.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best mobile multicoins wallet for neophytes? on: December 03, 2018, 03:34:51 PM
What BIP39 mobile wallet (needs to support BTC/ETH/LTC/BCH) would you recommend?

In this case (noob user), ease of use > features. No in-app advertisement or buy/sell option is a plus to avoid confusion/mistake/scam.

Thanks for your insights.
try to discover CoinsBank for yourself
