IEOs are done on an exchange, ICOs are done by the projects itself, while STOs are done with regulated bodies. |

ICO regulation has its own advantages in my own opinion because it will help to reduce scam projects that's currently rampant in cryptocurrency industry, it will also to reduce a lot of low quality projects.

IEOs are not totally bad for investors because they can be sure the project will eventually get listed but project wise it is bad because most investor will have to rely on the crediblity of the exchange hosting the IEO.

Having both is better than chosing just one but If I'm to choose only one, I'll go for Ethereum because of its better use and bigger community.
