Drop in ICO Price after listing

This has been alarming for a very long time that ico tends to drop after listing.  Which made a lot of investors lost hope in investing.  Preferably i perfer i invest in existing altcoin or IEO.

2018 was the bad year for cryptocurrency, and many ICO projects were failed to deliver the results to the investors.
Actually, the price was not dropped after listing in exchanges, but it dropped when bitcoin value dropped in the market.

The exchange rate of a token depends on a lot of factors. As you mentioned, having experienced team members, good concept, publicity.etc matters a lot. But the most important factor is the commitment of the team members. It is very common nowadays for a project to become dormant once the ICO is completed. It may be having very good concepts and skilled members, but if they become lazy once they receive the cash, then we may not be able to do much.

Dropping of price once listing on minor or even major exchanges is a normal for a project. It happens usually when the bounty hunters have received their bounty rewards but not all the times, bounty hunters are the ones would be blame. Sometimes other people dumped it aside from bounty hunters.

There are plenty of marketing techniques therefore we cannot fully say that this project is already successful as they successfully hype their project and they have a very strong team members. If the project will fail upon listing their tokens/coins in any exchange, there is only one conclusion of it. It is a failed project.

An active project who have the best marketing techniques will not let this kind of happening to happen. Even if their price will go down upon listing, they will surely find a solution on how to recover the price in the following months to come.

Now many companies do not distribute tokens, but I do not think this is a good sign. if they wanted people not to sell them, they could just freeze them.

ico is no longer as excited as before, so no new investors enter when the market price, no buyers. it is also possible this influence of the price of bitcoin is down. I think the ICO will return when the bitcoin market returns to $ 15k-20k

The dropping is virtually normal because of bounty hunters who dump. Especially the bounty hunters who cheat to gather a lot of the project tokens and at the end dump them. It is even worse in the present down-market as the bear run dampen the price of those tokens. But for the promising projects,  the price Springs up after dumpers  have dumped and the market is in a good state.

i think bull run will not change anything , everyone will hold and buy big coin .

The only mistakes I noticed about coins devalue after listing is many developers listing there coins on bad exchanges ,apart from how good the project is ,if the devs list on exchanges with low volume this will bring doom to the coin or token

Well you may be correct in some ways because the drop of bitcoin price was not totally responsible for the dump of price of ICO token after being listed on the exchange, because there are so many factors that cause new coins in the market to fall below ICO price on the exchange. And one of which is the capability of the team to have an ecosystem that will sustain and support the coin and the other is huge dump of the coins by either investors, team and bounty hunters as soon as the coin hit the market.

I have encounter several ICO since i am here their ICO price was so high after listing their token on different exchanges it was so low from the ICO price it is because some investors who invest during pre sale and they got huge bonuses they sell their token right away and that is why the price of token is low.

you are right,this is experienced especially with those project token delivered during this bearish market, they appear in good value and starts diminishing after time. the best i will always suggest in such is that you don't delay in selling it as soon as it comes into your wallet or else you end up losing.

The thing that can be if you find a project and experience a decrease in the price of a token that has been planned before. Can not ensure the price of the token will be the same as what is mixed.
