61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market getting many new people. Is it good or bad for us? on: May 21, 2019, 11:58:02 PM
I see no reason why the arrival of new people to the crypto community can have a negative influence on the development of it. On the contrary, it has always been clear that the success of bitcoin as a currency of universal influence depends on a massive adoption at a global level, and while it is true that the process seems to be slower than many would like, each time there is more interest in the matter of cryptocurrencies and is already becoming a topic of general interest.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will Boom ! on: May 20, 2019, 11:54:33 PM
In fact, taking into account that ethereum is a still young project with only four years of life and whose ICO price was $ 0.31, we could say that its price has already boomed and perhaps it has already reached the maximum price level that a platform of this type could aspire to.

However, I believe that ethereum still has the potential to continue growing as the crypto market continues to do so, but we may only see gradual and constant movements, without a boom as explosive as that observed between 2017-2018.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 20, 2019, 11:38:39 PM
It is best to buy what amount of veil you can afford and stake them to get reward maybe daily depending on the size of your wallet rather than going through the heart attack moments of trading, pos is more guarantee than trading, you can sell your accrual at the end of each month for passive income,
My target to purchase at least 12k veil so i can get daily reward to earn passive income. This is best option imo.
More veil more passive income and also as you said pos is much better than trading i think it was because pos is passive and trading is gambling that without knowing what will happen to your money.

Actually both options have their advantages, and it is obvious that a good trader has a potential for profits that neither mining nor staking can offer, but taking into consideration all the potential that Veil has in the medium and long term, the important thing is to continue accumulating this promising crypto no matter what method you choose. Personally, I prefer trading first, mining second, and staking third.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When did you start trading? on: May 20, 2019, 11:19:53 PM
My first approach to trading was seven years ago, and like many newbies I started without knowledge or previous experience in Forex trading, when in Etoro it was still common to receive free bonuses to test their platform. It was not until the year 2017 when I first approached crypto trading through Poloniex, but to be honest my results in crypto have not been as good as in Forex, which confirms my suspicions that in reality the crypto market is so different from Forex, that all the techniques and indicators that have usually been applied to traditional markets do not apply in crypto, as empirical observation seems to continuously demonstrate.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facts about this "industry" on: May 19, 2019, 09:14:07 PM
- exchanges that don't give a fuck and are not even hiding blatant wash trading, tape painting and spoofing.

- pump and dump groups with thousands of members on telegram dedicated to inflate the value of the coins of their choice and then dump their bags on poor bag holders who fund their gains before they run the thing to the ground.

- hackers who hack websites, wallets, exchanges, smart contracts

- scammers of all kind

- exchanges that will randomly confiscate your money and then you wait for months for customer support response, criminals

- 99% of icos are blatant cash grabs with no useful product or working prototype whatsoever and they are going to fail.

- miners that waste incredible amount of energy to mine mostly worthless funbux, ruin gpu market and occasionally enjoy cheap, even subsidized electricity while providing pitiful amount of new jobs.

- Crypto investors (speculators) who heavily shill their coins and fight with each other like a bunch of retarded children over whose funbuck is the god and which is worthless trash.

- "captains of the industry" who think they're next Edisons or Nikola Tesla while in fact they're making overpriced pogo sticks at best. Smiley

Yes, no doubt that kind of things are what have prevailed in the minds of many people when they hear the word "cryptocurrency", and it is the first thing that comes to mind when we think about the possibility of investing in cryptos. However, all these types of problems are not exclusive to the crypto-universe since those of us who have more than a decade working in different types of online businesses already know that the same seems to prevail in all types of Internet businesses. Nothing new under the sun.

What we should emphasize is the many advantages offered by investing in cryptos at the moment, and that in reality most cryptos users, taking the appropriate security measures, have not suffered significant problems.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price is not everything! on: May 19, 2019, 08:48:45 PM
Stop thinking about the price for a while and think about the technology and adoption what is happening just now! More and more people are involved in cryptocurrencies, bigger and bigger partnerships are made everyday, better and better news comes everyday and price? Still same? It shows that whales are cumulating why other people who care about the price are selling them their cryptocurrencies for cheap.

Well, it is true that those of us who have committed to the promotion of bitcoin as a valid and necessary response to the financial problems of today's society have emphasized the importance of technology and its usefulness rather than its price, however it is understandable that in these early stages there is still a lot of misinformation about it and most of those who approach this crypto-universe do so for purely speculative purposes, but this should not worry us too much, because as mass adoption advances we will learn to integrate bitcoin into our daily lives.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Emotions: Highs and Lows of the Bull Runs on: May 19, 2019, 08:22:01 PM
While it is true that every time I have learned to have a better control of my emotions, as a human being it is common to experience great joy when the cryptocurrency I hold pumps, and feel a huge desperation when I see that the prices plummet.

However, precisely because of the experience I have gained over the years, I have learned that despite the mixed feelings that I may feel in my inner self, I must adhere unrestrictedly to a solid strategy with great discipline, and attached to a adequate money management if my desire is to stay in this business for long years.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO you think ICO websites help investors to choose best ICO to participate? on: May 18, 2019, 09:02:32 PM
Many of the ICOs that are now well known scams used some of these websites to gain the trust of unsuspecting investors who ended up losing their capital in an unworthy way. It is well known that many of the funds obtained by the ICOs are mostly spent on advertising, and a significant percentage of these expenses are directed to these types of websites, so little by little they have been losing credibility in a sector where first-hand information is essential, so it is increasingly difficult to find reliable sources in this regard.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Boom to $100K Will Destroy Altcoins on: May 18, 2019, 08:40:54 PM
On the contrary, I think it has been shown that after a major pump, investors tend to look for options to diversify their portfolios, so once the bitcoin reaches a price of such magnitude, many altcoins with good prestige and popular support will follow bitcoin closely.

However, it is to be expected that as the market grows and institutional investments become interested in cryptos, they will increasingly be more selective when choosing the option to invest their capital, so many current altcoins will die along the way, and those that survive will continue to close the progress of bitcoin.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest participate in airdrop? why? on: May 18, 2019, 08:20:20 PM
I have stopped participating in airdrops for several months, because you have to sign up in many of them to have an opportunity to earn something, since most never reach any value, and many others simply tend to become failed projects with the passage of time.

And if we add to that, they demand more and more activities in social networks and sometimes they even require KYC in order to take you into account, I think it is less and less advisable to participate in airdrops.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin has reached 8000$, then what? on: May 17, 2019, 10:51:52 PM
Well, I think that after all these years involved in the crypto market, we should already be used to the continuous pumps and dumps that characterize it, so we should not be too disappointed by this small correction, because bitcoin is not behaving in a way out of its normality, although it is evident that many newbies and naives still believe that the way to the moon should be traveled in a straight line and without frights.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price of BTC has set a new high on: May 17, 2019, 10:23:29 PM
After a splendid bull run observed between the months of April and March, the market finally gives us the opportunity to calm down and make necessary corrections and modifications in our strategies to close the year in the best possible way.

It is true that during this week we had the opportunity to see the bitcoin reaching a new annual maximum, but I am convinced that we are still about to see better things throughout this year, so take a break that great emotions are just around the corner.  Wink
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD on: May 16, 2019, 11:04:32 PM
When the crypto market was still very young and there were no similar references about its potential behavior, it was valid to think that HODL was the ideal alternative for those who invested in bitcoin, because they assumed that it was the disruptive technology that would dominate the world in the years to come.

But today, when ten years have passed since its emergence and we already know how volatile and unpredictable this market is, I think we should start to put our feet on the ground and accept that HODL does not seem to be the best strategy for those who enter this market with a purely speculative purpose.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About to throw down $20K and need some advice on: May 16, 2019, 10:37:35 PM
I will not buy XRP if i have that money for invest now, but you do what you want, there are a lot of complain about xrp and no can guarantee a profit for xrp.

In spite of the continuous criticisms against Ripple, again and again it has brought significant gains to those who have decided to invest in XRP for purely speculative purposes. The fact that you feel animosity towards a certain project, should not blind you to the possibility of obtaining a good profit, because although it is true that what Ripple means for the crypto-universe is questionable, no one can deny that at least as a speculative investment is incomparable.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence in Cryptocurrency on: May 16, 2019, 09:50:55 PM
While it is true that regulation can be useful to facilitate some things in the cryptoeconomy, it is not the solution to everything and we must be aware that this type of frauds and scams will be a constant in this sector, because since computing has been popularized there have always been people willing to take advantage of any vulnerability, and this not only on the subject of cryptocurrencies, but in all areas related to information technology.
But a good regulation could avoid many abuses against users of certain services such as exchanges, where until now there has been little protection to investors and traders.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i trust new platforms? on: May 14, 2019, 11:06:15 PM
In fact, seeing the huge list of cryptocurrencies and tokens listed is coinmarketcap anyone would think that the market is too new and small to accommodate so many projects, even more so when 90% of the capitalization belongs only to the first top 20 of marketcap, therefore it is evident that unfortunately still prevail many malicious developers whose sole purpose is to make a large sum of money defrauding unsuspecting investors.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Right Now: Will Do A Bull Run Too? on: May 14, 2019, 10:39:48 PM
I find it difficult that ethereum can follow the solid and consistent step of bitcoin, because at present there are many other platforms that are displacing the relevance of ether in the market of intelligent contracts. Not long ago ethereum remained for many weeks in a ratio of 1:10 with respect to the price of bitcoin, and that ratio has dropped to almost 1:25, so seeing the current momentum of bitcoin seems very difficult, almost impossible for ethereum to match its past performance.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Biggest Crypto Exchange Heists in History on: May 13, 2019, 11:57:35 PM
Unfortunately I have suffered a couple of times the loss of cryptoassets due to the hacking of exchanges: a couple of years ago in etherdelta, and more recently in Cryptopia. But unfortunately I think that we are very far from finding a definitive solution to this problem, so that exchanges and users must take all the necessary measures to reduce the risks.

It is true that this in the end is always reflected in the costs that have to be assumed to increase the protection measures, but there does not seem to be too many options in a field as vulnerable as the crypto-universe.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: the Veil Project Mining- Privacy without Compromise on: May 13, 2019, 11:35:16 PM
I see that at this time there is some concern about the relative drop in the price of Veil, however it has not been as significant as has happened with some other alts. In fact, since the beginning of April until now the fall has not been more than 20%, which is quite reasonable in a market where only bitcoin seems to grow meteorically and most alts do it more slowly.

Therefore, we must not be discouraged and we must continue to mine and accumulate, because the history of Veil has just begun and in a short time we will see the results of our investment.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Vs Trading on: May 13, 2019, 11:07:43 PM
In my opinion, it is increasingly difficult to obtain a significant amount of cryptos by any method, so every prudent crypto-enthusiast must learn to find all the available means to choose the most profitable, and the one that most likely offers him substantial gains.

In my personal case, since it has been difficult for me to obtain significant returns in crypto trading, and the bounties for a Jr Member are too insignificant, I have taken advantage of my knowledge in Forex trading to withdraw my profits in bitcoin, and thus obtain the profits that by other means I have not been able to obtain.
