81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium 1000 $ is a dream to everyone ! on: May 12, 2019, 11:58:09 PM
I am not so sure that the price of ether will reach a price as high as reached months ago. And some of the reasons for this are:

- Greater competition between platforms that offer smart contracts, with greater advantages than ethereum.

-The resounding failure of most of the ICOs launched on the platform ethereum.

In addition, investors now are more selective and conservative than before, so it seems that now they prefer to accumulate more bitcoins than any other altcoin, and that is reflected in the continued growth in the dominance of bitcoin in the crypto market.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: May 12, 2019, 11:28:52 PM
Even despite all its detractors and the great limitations that bitcoin has had for its global adoption, it has gradually been opening up as a real investment alternative and as an efficient currency within the global financial system. Therefore, once it has positioned itself as an efficient and functional alternative to fiat money, it is almost impossible for it to suddenly stop being valued by its users, because even when new technologies appear in cryptospace, the popularity of bitcoin will be enough to continue retaining great value, even if it is merely symbolic.
83  Local / Trading y especulación / Re: Tradeas Por tu propio Conocimiento o por Acción de Noticias o demás? on: May 11, 2019, 09:10:55 PM

84  Economy / Economics / Re: What's it like to live on crypto instead of Banks? on: May 11, 2019, 08:06:24 PM
Imagine living your life without depending on Banks ever again. Using only cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum, you can make your own income stream and use the coins earned to buy stuff from merchants who accept them. Every day, cryptocurrencies have been going closer towards full mainstream adoption. However, there are still some things which prevent crypto from being used over traditional payment systems we've been accustomed to for a long time.

Nonetheless, what's it like to live only on crypto instead central-bank issued fiat money? Cheesy

At least in my country this is far from happening, because there are very few establishments or stores where you can exchange bitcoin for goods or services. In fact, although most of my income is derived from the cryptos I get, I still have to pass through an exchange where I exchange them for local currency, and although the process is efficient and almost instantaneous, I can not escape from the banking intermediation, but if it were possible for me, of course I would prefer to carry out all my economic transactions directly through cryptos.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy bitcoin now?? Or I'm too late?? on: May 11, 2019, 07:06:15 PM
In my opinion, a price below $10,000 is still a very convenient price, taking into account that the most conservative forecasts place bitcoin between $50K and $ 100K in the coming years. Well John McAfee said that the big drop in the price of bitcoin was just an opportunity for the visionaries to buy bitcoins at the offer price, and certainly for those who had enough intelligence to buy bitcoins at $3K, it was an opportunity that may never happen again. But $6K still seems like a great price!  Wink
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Selling tokens/low market cap coins for Bitcoin? on: May 10, 2019, 11:52:49 PM
Although I had not thought about that possibility, hoping that a miracle would happen in the market so that my asleep altcoins would suddenly come alive and revive, I think your proposal is not a bad idea, because if after two years of having been launched a great number of tokens through ICOs, and their projects are still not crystallized, it is difficult to think that things will change in the medium term, so it is likely that, given the high growth expectations of bitcoin, I might start selling a good amount of my stored shitcoins.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction For 2018 To 2020 on: May 10, 2019, 11:28:35 PM
I think expectations like those of OP led many unsuspecting people to suffer great losses in recent months, because once the price of bitcoin was catapulted unusually towards $20K in 2017 few had enough common sense to sell. On the contrary, greed led many to buy such expensive bitcoins, trusting that a rise to $100K was only a matter of weeks, and the sad results are well known.

That is why we have to be very cautious in the face of such high expectations, so a bitcoin at $10K by the end of 2019, and at $15K by the end of 2020 would be very beneficial for everyone.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cancellation of project at the eleventh hour on: May 09, 2019, 12:25:23 AM
Unfortunately, it is the kind of risks that we have to run as bounty hunters, since it is well known that many of the projects we have participated in have failed since the beginning, and very few ICOs have been successful enough to grant us big benefits.

But everything is a matter of insisting, perhaps now it will be more difficult than before, but it would be enough to participate in two or three good campaigns in the year to obtain some complementary income that strengthens our economy.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: May 08, 2019, 11:50:49 PM
I have always recommended to my friends to approach this economy economy to come based on cryptocurrencies, regardless of whether they decide to invest or not. And I have also always recommended them to be very cautious when deciding if it is worth buying cryptos, as being highly volatile and unregulated assets, no authority could help them in case of fraud or big losses, so I think the the best recommendation that can be made to a newbie is to read, know and learn about this interesting crypto-universe before making any decision about it.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: Time For A New Market Leader ? on: May 08, 2019, 11:13:51 PM
The problem of the great dominance that Binance is exerting on the current market, is that these vulnerabilities can destabilize in an important way the cryptoeconomy since everything seems to indicate that nobody is safe in this space, and it is difficult to decide to invest before such an uncertain panorama.

At the moment I do not see, however, who can dispute that domain to Binance, although as a Decoin investor I would like to see that new exchange demonstrate all the potential it has through a more aggressive marketing strategy.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for scammers, yea right! on: May 07, 2019, 11:37:36 PM
It is understandable that the financial authorities make every effort to "demonstrate" that the use of cryptocurrencies is characteristic of criminals and fraudsters. It is a way of preparing the environment against bitcoin, and predisposes people to take a negative stance against everything that involves the use of cryptocurrencies.

And although it is true that until now the vast majority of illicit activities continue to be done using the formal financial system and fiat money, many people do not seem to understand that and still have many prejudices against the cryptos.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC is simply just to cheat bounty hunters. on: May 07, 2019, 10:57:12 PM
While it is true that your argument is valid, I do not think that the bounty hunters should have more privileges than the investors, and to demand the KYC only to the investors seems to me in some way unfair, I believe that all the participants of the project must pass the process.

On the other hand, the KYC seems to me an undesirable but necessary requirement, because one of the reasons why frauds and scams have happened so frequently in this sector of the market is because of the lack of regulation, and the KYC is an important step towards legal protection for all parties.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum goes to the top! on: May 06, 2019, 02:49:32 PM
In fact, as the years have passed in the crypto market, paradoxically everything seems to be centralizing in the two giants of the market: bitcoin and ether. And although hundreds of new cryptos have emerged to dispute their hegemony, both will remain the sure bet in a market as uncertain as this one, that is why at all times it will always be a good decision to accumulate ethers, although we must also be aware of its great dependence to the behavior of bitcoin to consider at the moment which of these two giants it is better to accumulate as a long-term investment.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market situation on: May 05, 2019, 09:26:12 PM
I think we are going through a moment of singular relevance, where bitcoin is gradually being recognized and accepted worldwide in a gradual and consistent way, so it is possible that the upward trend will recover throughout this year, but with a volatility more controlled than in 2017, which will always be positive for the crypto market, because one of the reasons why many companies have refused to use bitcoin is due to its extreme volatility.

Therefore, those who made the decision to continue accumulating bitcoins in recent months despite the pessimistic expectations, will be the main winners in the bull race to come.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading or Recurring earning through dividend??? on: May 05, 2019, 08:58:32 PM
I have also explored the possibility of obtaining residual income through the dividends offered by various cryptos, and I have found that the profitability obtained is too small to be an important source of income, unless you have a sufficiently large capital to buy many of those cryptos or tokens to hold them. Therefore I have not stopped focusing on trading as the only really viable option to increase your capital in a significant way in the short term.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Have more coins in your portfolio in a short term on: May 05, 2019, 07:58:47 PM
It's all risk reward.  Everyone's threshold is different.  It is true it's better to catch a coin early in release but knowing when to hold/sell is critical in this kind of mining.  It's not as easy as just mining new coins.
I have always adhered to the tactic of investing in young crypto startups and storing coins for several years without movement. But unfortunately most of my investments have turned to 0 in recent years.

Without putting your portfolio in some of the stronger established coins this will most of the time be the case.  Again its risk reward, if they plan out it could end up really profitable but 99/100 you will just lose your money or even if you dont lose money will have an opportunity cost loss in that you would have made more by keeping your money in btc.  Risk what you can lose holds true

In fact, as time passes it will be increasingly difficult to make significant amounts of money through cryptocurrencies: mining does not seem to be so profitable lately and only large investors seem to dominate the scene; trading means dealing with the unpredictability of the market and an increasingly reduced volatility, and holding cryptos is nothing more than a risky bet. Even so, I prefer to try at least partially with trading and holding btc.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 05, 2019, 06:58:07 PM
Undoubtedly that will be a very sensitive issue to be addressed by the authorities and the crypto community in general, however the issue of crime and money laundering is not exclusive of cryptocurrencies, and in fact perhaps only a minimum proportion of illicit activities of the world are carried out through cryptocurrencies, because the cash is the most used, simple and affordable method for the commission of crimes.

Stop blaming the bitcoin for everything, this is just FUD.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $2000 to invest ? on: May 04, 2019, 09:06:18 PM
In my opinion, $2000 is not such a large amount as to choose low risk options through a conservative strategy. It is an amount that you can afford to lose because it would not mean an irreparable loss, so it might be worth betting for some promisory ICO and choose a broad portfolio of cryptos below $1 and with good growth potential, but even invest in bitcoin or ether would also be profitable in the long term.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto is getting ready for nice rally. Are you ready? on: May 04, 2019, 07:39:31 PM
From 2018 till date, we are getting awesome news on crypto. But market went into opposite. But hope progress can be made on SEC and/ or CFTC approval, US gov is back on action. Large name like Fidelity, IFC etc are quite confident in btc. Plus ethereum constantinopole hardfork is due. So future is bright, may be this rally will be ended but next bull run will be longer and higher

I am convinced that the bull run has started, however I do not think it can become of the magnitude and intensity that was observed throughout 2017, where the euphoria prevailed over an objective and analytical view of the crypto market.

But this is not bad news, because I have no doubt that after the experience lived the investors will be more cautious and this will lead to a more gradual and consistent growth, ideal for institutional investors.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DUMP after PUMP! on: May 04, 2019, 07:08:34 PM
Well, taking into account that a few months ago the price of bitcoin was around $80 and prospects were very pessimistic about its immediate future, the current price means a gain of 100% for those who decided to invest in December 2018, therefore I think we should look at things in perspective and not take these whims of the market so seriously.
