Where is everyone downloaded "ethminer.exe" from?
it's the windows version comes with the package.

Do we start ethminer.exe while step 3 is running? Or, does it not need to be touched?I don't see it mining, I type miner.start() and it said "true"?

I'm letting it sync, going to try with a Celeron N2840 from Acer laptop. See what we get....

Great, I see... Thank you, and I look forward to a great start.

I do have one issue that I did not notice before purching into this..
This comes from here Bitcointalk
Total EQI: 96,000,000 ICO Limit: 16,000,000 Crypto Scheme: Proof-of-work Hash Algorithm: Keccak (SHA-3) Hashes Per Work Unit: 32 to 256 Hash Time (CPU): 15 Minutes Hash Time (GPU): 1 Minute 30 Seconds Work Unit Time (CPU): 8 to 64 Hours Work Unit Time (GPU): 1 to 6 Hours Transaction Processing: Every Hash
vs.
This comes from equilibria website
Total EQI: 1,560,000,000 Crypto Scheme: Proof-of-work Hash Algorithm: Keccak (SHA-3) Hashes Per Work Unit: 32 to 256 Hash Time (CPU): 15 Minutes Hash Time (GPU): 1 Minute 30 Seconds Work Unit Time (CPU): 8 to 64 Hours Work Unit Time (GPU): 1 to 6 Hours Transaction Processing: Every Hash
Is it 112,000,000 or 1,560,000,000?

I just dropped 0.02 BTC's, let's see what this can do!

I just hope I did not find this coin too late......we shall see?

No worries, she is on Khan Academy doing math currently. Just let us know when you get around to it.
I wouldn't have it any other way...

No windows builds Not right this second, ill compile one later. Install Git from http://git-scm.com/downloadsInstall Golang from https://storage.googleapis.com/golang/go1.4.2.windows-amd64.msiInstall winbuilds from http://win-builds.org/1.5.0/win-builds-1.5.0.exe to c:\winbuilds Run win builds here. It's safe to remove big dependencies like QT and GTK which aren't needed. An exact list of dependencies should be determined Setup environment paths Add GOROOT pointed to c:\go and GOPATH to c:\godev (you are free to pick these paths). Set PATH to %PATH%;%GOROOT%\bin;%GOPATH%\bin;c:\winbuilds\bin Open a terminal and install godep first: go get -u github.com/tools/godep Open a terminal and download go-expanse go get -d -u github.com/expanse-project/go-expanse Try building expanse with go dep, navigate to c:\godev\src\github.com\expanse-project\go-expanse\cmd\gexp and run git checkout develop && godep go install If you want to build from an other branch bypass godep go install for go install and checkout the dependencies manually. I've got to the end and I'm not finding a git checkout develop && godep go install under the c:\godev\......\gexp, or do I need to run go git in command? I've found the checkout and develop but what's wit the && godep, godep is not found Maybe, try to reword the last line to me? I'm also helping my daughter, whom is homeschooled, out with this as a project. She is running everything while I check her work. So far, everything has bee a breeze. Thank you.

Can this coin get a new dev, I'd like to see this coin go somewhere but not in its current state. I've got a plan, if someone would like to listen. I really think I can get this off and going in the right direction, I'm just not a dev.
|
|
|
I'm happy with the low orders, I'll keep filling at 1 sat when I get the chance. I know this coin has potential just like most coins. Even if I purchase at 1 and it hits 2, that is double my money. As for the dev, I'm happy to have you on IRC and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you!

Thank you Franko and James, this should be epic! I was expecting the release mid/late week, and just as you stated in 1-2 days it's now here. Thank you, and I look forward to having a great time with Expanse.

Waiting to see how to goes, might be fun if nothing else.

I'm excited for the 4.0 version to come out, Great job team, I'm sure this will be very useful to everyone.
|
|
|
I've deleted the 32 version and got the 64, working fine now.
|
|
|
I've installed 32 version and everything seems fine. I try to send siacoin from poloniex to my wallet....failed. I tried to create address, again...fail. Now I'm stuck with thousands of Siacoins on polo that should be in the wallet....

You should change the name to "The Puerto Rico Default", I heard they are worse off than Greece.

Excellent, thank you for the input. I'll see what I can do. Nothing is ever short term, always go long! (I just added another 12,000 in three separate blocks.)
Cool, just remember to say your prayers to the staking gods every night before bed It will be interesting to see which 'camp' you end up joining, the big blockers or the small blockers. I have a lamassu BTC ATM machine three blocks away, if I hit it big, it will be put to good use.

@DudeAtWork420:
It really looks that you are staking alright, going by the tooltip display. I don't think I have *ever* checked my staking status via getinfo...
About not having any stake now that 11 days have already passed: Difficulty is sky high with HyperStake. This is a community of staking fanatics & hoarders (and I love them all), so there is a lot of competition to hit a stake. A ~4K block size, on average, will probably take well over 30 days to hit a stake!
Most people have by now sized their blocks around 10K and upwards, though some are salmon, and picked the opposite tactic, many tiny blocks (vs just a few larger ones).
Happy Staking!
Yes it could take quite some time to hit a stake at that size, with only once chance (block) at it. GetInfo should show as staking active. It concerns me that it is not showing that, and honestly I trust it more than i trust the icon. They are based on different methods to determine whether the wallet is hashing, and I believe my method (the one in get info) is the most solid of the two. Honestly I am not quite sure what to say about it. I will do some thinking. Edit: after doing some testing, it is possible that when you hit getinfo that it can return "staking not active" when it is in fact staking. If you hit getinfo for the fraction of a second before your wallet has began hashing on the current network block, then it will say staking not active. I got my wallet to say that when i kept hitting getinfo repeatedly until it got that result. Try enter it a few more times. I think your staking is in fact active. Should I throw several 5000 blocks at it or smaller at 1000, with a total of 10,000-20,000? You say, most are at 10K and upward. Right, the fact I have it sent at 4290 I need to wait until a block hits something that high, if it was seperate at 250 or 500 per block, I'd already be staking....is that correct? That is the age old question. If you intend to leave it for a couple of months I would say split it to around 6k each block. If you are trying to do a quick turn around then go bigger blocks. But if you get unlucky you might not stake for a long time if you only have one or two blocks. According to the law of large numbers, the more attempts you have at something the more it will line up with the actual statistical probability. But its up to you. Excellent, thank you for the input. I'll see what I can do. Nothing is ever short term, always go long! (I just added another 12,000 in three separate blocks.)
