1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (ANN) Netcoin has gone POS! With PIR & OWI on: May 27, 2015, 12:00:40 AM

Does the Netcoin Casino have any type of referral bonus or affiliate program?

No one hears about it. I never see it advertised anywhere except a few posts back. I took a look at it, and it looks great!

We don't want it just advertised in here. We want it advertised everywhere so people want to buy Netcoins!

MORE INFORTION
Q: How is E-Casino.io Provably fair

Our software is "provably fair" meaning that the gameplay data of each hand played can be tested if it was randomly shuffled and if it was used without being manipulated.

This can be verified by checking the "Gameplay history" page.
You must follow the next steps to experience a "provably fair" gameplay.
1.Request the shuffled deck (server_seed) from the server.
2.Add your influence to the shuffled deck by setting the client seed.
3.Play your game .

To verify the data, play your gameplay and finish it and then go to LOBBY -> GAMEPLAY HISTORY and click on the VERIFY button. This will reveal the initial deck, the salt, the hash string and you can verify everything to see if the final outcome matched our pretended outcome.

Q: What is this shuffled string and how it is generated?
For the card games, we will shuffle the deck, hash it and send it to you. This will represent the server seed. To make sure we did not manipulate the gameplay outcome, we will allow you to add your influence to the game(we will allow you to set a client seed) to cut the deck, after the hashed deck was sent to you. This way we cannot manipulate anything from the deck since you will influence how the deck will finally look like.

For the keno games, we will shuffle the deck of 80 numbers, hash it and send it to you. This will represent the server seed. To make sure we did not manipulate the gameplay outcome, we will allow you to add your influence to the game(we will allow you to set a client seed) to cut the deck. This way we cannot manipulate anything from the deck since you will choose how the deck will finally look like.

For the roulette games, we will randomly select a position for the ball to stop on the wheel, then we will hash it and send it to you. This will represent the server seed and it will contain the wheel stop position. You will then be able to set a client seed, to influence the stop position, so that we can prove to you that we do not influence anything in any way.

For the slot games, we will retrieve 3 to 9 numbers (depending on how many reels the game has) and we will hash them and send them to you. This will represent the server seed and it will contain the symbols from the stop positions of each reel. You will then be able to set a client seed, to influence the stop position on each reel even further, so that we can prove to you that we do not influence anything in any way.

For the dice games, we will roll 3 dices, we will hash them and send them to you. This will represent the server seed. You will then be able to set a client seed, to influence the landing face of each dice, so that we can prove to you that we do not influence anything in any way.

Q: How to verify all this?
Once a gameplay is completed, you will be able to access the tool from the LOBBY -> GAMEPLAYS HISTORY -> VERIFY, and the game will return the original server string (containing the deck or slot positions) and the salt used for hashing.
You can then verify this on a 3rd party website to see that the hash(original string+salt) resulted in the hashed string that we sent to you as the server shuffled string.
Then based on the original server string and based on the client seed, our tool will recalculate the game output that you saw when playing, based on various mathematical calculations that we made.
For security reasons, we cannot make public our formulas. Our formulas will change every 24 hours, for security reasons.

What? That's it? I don't understand!!!

Where is the hack that takes a standard block erupter and turns it into an Antminer U2?

Isn't it as simple as adding a large heatsink and clipping pin 3?

Come on people!!!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NoirShares UPDATE REQUIRED Advanced Features✔, Unique PoW✔ on: April 30, 2015, 06:12:05 AM

This doesn't work.

You cannot expect people to download a wallet, then download extra files to get them on the right fork, put them in the right locations, and then sync.

A true wallet needs to download and sync without any user intervention.

This is what Barwizi was trying to do, but never succeeded in doing yet.

Crypto wallets always start from the genesis block, and because of solid programming, they find the right chain on their own.

The end of the week is coming...

I must hurry my work on the workshop,

(photos, printings, paintings, writing, crowdfunding...)
but you will have some news as promise.

Only available in opal  Wink

You make my nervous Voidlord.  I understand you have a lot to contribute. But think of my negative connotations towards your art contributions and the first Opal Embassy in Marseille, France

As an outsider, not privy to what kind of discussions are going on, it appears you have a love for Art, Opal, and fine wine.

2 out of the 3 of those seem to have predominance, and one of them isn't Opal.

I do like what you're trying to do, and have done for Opal. But somehow I think the efforts are getting clouded.

OPAL mods: Please don't have a knee jerk reaction to dismiss my concerns or ban me from posting.  A healthy discussion and debate is always worthwhile. If anything, it spawns controversy which adds to the postings and discussions and number of responses.

With that being said.. am I the only one that got disturbed when I saw a little girl sitting in the center of the room with a somewhat confused look on her face with massive art hanging on the walls with the tagline "Opal Embassy"

I don't know if it's french wine, or art that Voidlord loves the most, but we need a solid direction here. It's not just the first person to be enthusiastic about the coin that wins the seat.

I believe in Bass.. Voidlord is supportive, but I question the direction.

Let's open this up for a debate.

P.S. What spawned this post, is Voidlord's promise of more photos (art), more paintings...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NeuCoin - Easy to use, free to try, focused on micropayments - Official on: April 30, 2015, 05:37:07 AM
The weird part of all of this, is that if you filled out their free survey, you were promised to get 2,500 coins

But if you bought $25 worth of BTC (0.1 BTC, minimum buy) during the sale, you'd also get around 2,500 coins

Which really means..

There is a lot of free survey people that are going to dump their 2,500 "free" coins once they get them, because.. they were free.

Which means all the people that bought some Neucoin at 0.1 BTC are going to lose here.

After all the scams, all the failed ICO's, pre-mines, fake coins, pump and dumps, the Auroracoins..

People still rush to invest their money into something that isn't proven. It's a crypto sickness.

If they had these big names involved, why didn't they produce something before having their sale?  Why take Bitcoin now, and promise to send Neucoin later?

This whole ICO stinks, but the weird thing is that no one can smell it?

It's 100% risk for the investor, and 0% risk for the people involved.

You know people are so blind. The btc address should have 3200 btc in it by now.

A friend of mine bought a few before I could stop him. On the final screen after purchase it says:

At the end of each day of the presale, all proceeds will be transferred to the following publicly visible multisig address: 3MrNuksZ1VePU3dGiSQFiouWerJUJgDkfH, where they will be held until launch.

I guess to save on transaction fees they're doing one big transfer each day to the public address.

I'm not a fan of this coin or launch at all still though

When and how will I get my NeuCoins?

The NeuCoins purchased during the presale will be delivered on the day of launch of the NeuCoin cryptocurrency, which is scheduled for July 2015. You will be notified and able to claim your NeuCoins on NeuCoin’s online wallet MyNeuCoin.com

Let's get this straight.  You send your BTC now, and get:

a) A promise that you will have some Neucoin waiting for you later

b) A promise that an email will be sent to you when your Neucoins are available for pick up

c) A promise that an online wallet at their website will let you claim the coins

d) A promise that they're scheduled to launch sometime in July 2015

e) A promise that they'll refund you if it doesn't happen by September

SEND YOUR BTC FOR A PROMISE

I'm promising myself I'm not getting involved in this one.

It should be that you send your BTC, and they transfer you the pre-mined Nucoins now.

If they goof up the ICO this way, I have little faith in them for the future.

hey guys...

how to redeem the 1000+1000+2500 NewCoin,
after filling out the survey?

thank you.

Think for a minute. If people who BUY neucoin with bitcoin now can't get theirs until July 2015

Do you really expect survey people are going to get theirs before July 2015 ?

Dividends were sent to everyone with a balance above around 10-20k, i can't remember exactly how much.

I know you're busy but...

You need to find out exactly how much.  We all need to understand how this works.

Oh wait a minute, when you said 10-20k I assumed you meant 10k to 20k

What you're saying is anyone with 10 opals to 20k opals?  That's a much bigger range.

We have a nice little treat in store soon too... Anyone here like poker? Multiplayer poker... Oh yes, it's coming real soon! I played a few hands last night and it's coming along really well. Can't wait to get stuck in there with you guys... It'll also be a nice way to meet the team as we'll be linking each table to a google hangout so you'll be able to come throw down some cards and have a chat. Smiley

How's this coming along?  A good multiplayer poker using Netcoin would be great.

I'm back full time.

1) Network will be up and running within 24 hours.
2) We will have a quick but very pointed discussion on the way forward
3) Sorry  Sad

I have no idea how you live with yourself knowing the amount of people you've hurt.

+1 %100 agree. The dev team needs to be a bit more active and promote the coin a bit.

Does that mean you want to see more pretty graphics from Voidlord posted, or something more significant? Smiley

Barwizi is a crook, we should report to the police

??

Does anybody know who Barwizi in real life is? i am thinking about filing a lawsuit.

??

Why do people think this way.  Police and lawsuits are not the answer to every bad investment.  I lost money too.  This is crypto. Police and courts don't even understand crypto yet.

If people spend more time to check out what they are investing in, these types of scams can't happen. Instead everyone comes running to make some quick profits. If it doesn't work, right away they start talking about police and lawsuits.

I never bought into the General Fund. I had a chance to do it, but I never did it.  We didn't have any proof of who he was, there was no guarantees. All he did was write some exciting future stuff in a post and people started sending BTC like crazy.

Learn from this. I never want to see this kind of thing happen anymore.  It's so frustrating watch people throw their money to the wind, and then go "oh, I know, I'll just call the police"

This is a decentralized economy. Learn how to avoid feeding scammers like Barwizi.  That's even better than the police or lawsuits. If we stop feeding him, he'll stop profiting from it.

Now here's a question. Barwizi has been absent for a long time.  But he's a known github developer for a coin that knows how to get it on exchanges.

Want to bet he's probably released at least 10 different new cryptocoins, as a pump and dump since Noirshares? Of course he has (my opinion).  Guess what, people keep mining and buying his crap coins too.

He's obviously someone with no morals. He doesn't worry about karma. He's too busy scamming fish.

The only real answer to this, is to stop feeding the guy with the fishing rod. Only then will things change.

WOW, 12 pages of discussion!!

It's discussion that we're lacking in..

No buying interest and no sell pressure too. Strange for such a decently developed coin !!

They're hoping it will catch on.

If you think you could help, buy a good bunch, and then help promote. Opal needs promotion.  We appear to be good in the dev and tech department.

I wish there was some youtubes out explaining how to use any of this stuff. Right now, I still run a headless linux Opal wallet. I have no idea how to use any of the features they've built and are building.

I learn by screenshots and video.

But then again, this is what crypto has become, everyone has to be careful and suspicious.
The place where the craziest conspiracies you can think of, actually come true.... bitcointalk

Once we all learn to think with our brains, and stop waiting for the Gov't to come save us all the time...

Crypto will start skyrocketing after people learn logic, and basic lessons in life.  Right now most people are just learning what a decentralized and non-regulated economy is.. they have to stop getting themselves caught in scammers nets and reeling them in like fish.

(these comments have nothing to do with the faucet), but it's a decent debate about the state of crypto.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MOBILE MESSAGING | OPAL DRIVE | COLORED COINS on: April 24, 2015, 07:25:46 PM
In any case - cryptogiveaways.org is a small joint project between myself and batesresearch. I am working for nothing.

[..]

you may also notice that the site will be 100% ad-free.

Those were all the warning signs. I was unable to understand the business model behind this project.  That's what raised my suspicions.

Do all this work, maintain all this work, pay for server space, all for "nothing". No ads, no way or being compensated.

So it appeared to be the only way for this to be profitable, was a skimming scam.

No evil intended. It's just a project. Smiley

So was ltcgear Smiley

Good luck with your project.  In future, to be less suspicious though, do put up ads or some other cross promotion so it makes more sense for someone trying to understand your motives.

By the way, calling a project sounds like a "temporary venture".  What happens with all the remaining coins when you decide to shut down the project?

https://www.betmoose.com/bet/hamradiocoin-above-5-000-satoshi-by-july-2015-1164?ref=scacco

Price over 5,000 satoshi in July 2015...

The creator of the bet should actually make a bet.

You didn't even bet on your own question?

Make it so you either have PoS for a certain amount of coin 100 to 1000 coins to protect the blockchain or you have so much coin that you can send a fee in that would burn it into boosting PoS.

I really like that idea.  Being able to burn coins somehow to give a better reward to whoever produces the next block.

If you coordinated the event, you could buy a crap load of coins, then for the next 500 blocks increase the reward by 50 coins per block and let everyone know about it.

Or, you could have a lottery, saying that you promise to burn 2500 OPAL sometime between now and next Tuesday, which gets people installing wallets and staking coins trying to earn the stake reward if they get that block

Or, [insert your idea]
