Not mining MUSIC any more, ETH is enough more profitable that there is no point.
I'm waiting a bit more to see if the price will rise else I'll stop mining this coin as well It will be good if more people dump mining $MUSIC. Miners are too greedy. Dumped price all over from 2000 satoshi. It's sad situation actually, if back in the days miners mined perspective currency to accumulate more, now more miners just take coin from profit per mining to dollar perspective, sell for fiat and help dump more. Its hard to trade with so greedy miners around, since most people bought $MUSIC for over 1000 satoshi. Anyway I think $MUSIC team should partner with Changelly or any other big exchange to spray some big trade % from Bittrex. Main problem with $MUSIC is that miners has more $MUSIC now, and traders and investors couldn't influence on trading much. So this is the strange situation where miners are whales, and people who could invest a lot couldn't do much beside just buying in small portions. Since not all traders are trading with own funds, they couldn't just risk that much, when miners are too greedy. Its a nice opportunity to buy more, but it could be good if miners calm down for a bit. You're right except that the miners aren't to blame. They're working within the system exactly as it's set up. The problem is that the inflation model for Musicoin is ludicrous. From an economic perspective the devs are basically giving away the value of the network to miners by rewarding them with huge sums of new coins for their hashrate. Why does Musicoin need a massive amount of hashrate paid for out of the pockets of artists, listeners, and investors through extremely high inflation? The block reward needs to be reduced to something more appropriate ASAP. My suggestion would be a 25 coin block reward with 50 coins sent to UBI. Even better would be a system where transactions are confirmed by the listeners with each play. This would eliminate the need for traditional miners completely. All newly-minted coins could be reserved for UBI, or a portion could be given to the listener to be used for tipping. The Musicoin ecosystem would be rebalanced and listeners would help secure the network without even knowing it.

Why doesn't the new wallet find peers to sync? Never had this problem with old wallet or any others.
There are new releases for our wallet, so some nodes may be undergoing upgrading process for UBI. You'll have to keep it running a while to get fully synced up. Also make sure you have a stable internet connection and no restrictions from your firewall. Thanks, it found peers on the third time I opened the wallet. The first two times nothing happened.

They must anticipate a dip in mining as block 1200000 will be here sooner than 10/8 it looks like. We are on block 1003744. That leaves 196,256 blocks left. A block is found every 15 seconds(technically 14.85). That's about 9 days left I believe. Not sure where guy above says 18 hours till that but that is also wrong it seems That would be 34 days left

Have the devs considered allowing artists to sell MP3 downloads of their songs/albums in exchange for Musicoin? After the UBI fork it will become important to re-incentivize the purchase of Musicoin in some way, and many listeners would probably be willing to pay for digital copies of their favorite songs.
Yes, download contract is already in consideration after PPP for streaming. It's though a marginal demand for high-resolution audiophiles or collectors. The contract to support download contract will be more flexible to enable artists to define price, instead of unified price in PPP contract. That's great news. I think it will really help balance supply and demand after UBI/PPP. The only consideration as far as hi-res goes would be storage. Lossless files will take up a lot of space wherever they're stored. And considering that most of the current artists are small-label/independent, the audio quality of the recordings may not warrant that level of fidelity.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RDD] Reddcoin looking for new lead developer

It's funny most of the content in this thread are irrelevant to Reddcoin dev. May I ask how much you are offering to hire this new lead dev? People will only be interested if your offer is attractive enough. We do have a community fund for the devs, but like most coins it's basically a volunteer position. What sets Reddcoin apart is the plan that's already been laid out (and worked on to some extent), and the community in place around it.

Any progress on the logo? I hope something's in the works - launch is just around the corner now. Maybe something blue-green to match the website/OP, or perhaps blue and gray to match the wallet?
We've been sticking with this for now At the moment we're really buckling down to be able to get an open beta out before launch. I like the icon, it's very clean and informative, but I don't think it will come across well when it's shrunken down to fit alongside the other coin logos on exchanges/pools/cryptomarketcap/etc. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

Eh what? Dude... do you understand English? Judging by the language and "projected awesomeness" of the coin in the OP and the responses you are giving now, I can only come to the conclusion that you are playing dumb. I think you are intelligent enough to know that a lot of fools fall at the magic word "escrow", like as if its the magic wand that protects them. You seem to be doing a poor job at completely evading the question... and I think you just gave yourself away But don't worry, Until you have the escrow announce that the funds will be released slowly upon completion of the promised features, I'm not letting this comment chunk drown away in the middle of the thread. I will keep reposting this every once in a while for newcomers who land on the last page to see. You can open a new self moderated thread if you want... Oh and by the way, for an IPO coin, this ANN page has a surprisingly low number of SCAM Trolls lackeys.... I wonder why now The devil is in the details my friend From the OP: (Regarding escrow) "You are allowed to release your funds whenever, this includes right before or after launch." Read that again. That is the magic wand, as you put it, that protects you from an IPO scam. If the coin doesn't launch with the advertised features then you just don't release the funds.
