I'm holding a little but more is always better.

Can't wait to see this take off, which I think it will.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] coinOK Coin Services : FAUCET - EXPLORER - WALLET - GAME - TWITTER - on: April 10, 2014, 04:15:07 PM
since we receive many requests lately, our time is short and most of the bounties don't even cover the running costs from now on we will directly add the coins willing our services to http://coinok.pw/vote - every week the coin with the most votes gets all our services

for the ones who want fast 24 hrs delivery please consider higher bounties and we can setup a fast deal. thanks.
Ah, shame to hear. FTR, the cheapest HASH has gone for, on some no volume exchanges, is 0.0001 which is what you ask for per BTC vote so 2.5K is 2500 votes technically. Just needs to hit a larger exchange first

edit: I see on the votes page that appcoin won the last round but isn't listed. What happened?

Just contacted virtualdn who runs coinok.pw about maybe having a go at a faucet. We'll see what he says but I'd bet he's willing to give it a go.

edit: I guess not. Forgot that he's been getting a lot of requests recently so it's down to a twitter request to add to votes list. then BTC voting -- http://coinok.pw/vote/

Would need 0.03 btc to beat the current leader

virtualdn, any chance you want to have a go at a hashcoin faucet? I think the bounty is 2.5K hash

hashcoin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=560955.0

The dev has an alternate, temporary account, if you'd like to get in contact with him. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=310361

Ah, same old strategies... we all know who's behind this.

I wonder if there's a mod in the "operation".

I just sent 1k btw, 500 for busoni and 500 for a poloniex giveaway, or if there is no poloniex giveaway, the whole 1k to busoni when he lists it.

Sounds good! Will do! I received it.....Yea something shady is going on this forum, which I actually didn't care about until they brought me into it by making contacting supporters & updating things a trillion times harder...lol

Also donated 100 votes for HASH on mintpal Smiley

I have contacted poloniex, hopefully they will get back to me soon! Cheesy
Exchanges are odd... mintpal might be a bit of a dead end this early on. Coins that get listed there either have a lot of BTC thrown at the votes, paid votes from "giveaways", or just get added cause of the volume.

Poloniex on the other hand is kind of fussy about what gets added and there definitely seems to be a right way and a wrong way about getting listed there, just haven't figured out what the rights and wrongs are yet.

Funny old game this is...

bittrex might be worth a go, otherwise, I was thinking, could the 10,000 bounty for a faucet somehow not be redirected for a poloniex giveaway. At least partly maybe?

Poloniex benefits from the giveaway due to more fresh faces showing up for some free (especially if it's a lot of coin with smallish amounts per user), meanwhile coins still get spread around like with a faucet. The promise of a large giveaway plus a bounty for listing may just get busoni that little bit more interesting in listing this.

I'd maybe throw in 1k, or at least a few hundred, for a poloniex specific exchange bounty to be given to busoni if say, at least half that faucet bounty was redirected into a poloniex giveaway.

I would like to repurpose the 10k bounty that I had sent earlier to direct 5k from the faucet bounty towards establishing two major exchange bounties worth 2.5k coins each. Another 2.5k coins could be redirected to any current or future giveaways leaving 2.5k HASH as a Faucet bounty. These changes would yield:

Faucet Bounty: 2.5k Hash
Giveaways: 2.5k Hash
Bittrex exchange bounty: 2.5k Hash
Poloniex bounty: 2.5k Hash
Is that giveaway and poloniex bounty combine-able, as in, 2.5k goes to busoni from poloniex personally and 2.5k gets given for a giveaway on poloniex?
Or should all or most of the giveaway be done separate from poloniex?

carsenk, if I want to add to bounties is HAhEtgzVECJoCFVWArhxa4xHFKezEK8YXT the right address? I'll add 1k, 500 each towards poloniex listing and poliniex giveaway, or just 1k towards poloniex listing if there's to be no poloniex giveaway.

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. MULTIPOOL We added 5% bonus on: April 10, 2014, 12:18:24 AM
How is it ever possible for faircoin to achieve what Blackcoin did when this coin is premined?
If someone explain me that I will believe in the coin.
The premine was fairly distributed if I understand things correctly.

So unlike blackcoin which was essentially distributed proportionate to the hashrate of the miners hardware, this was distributed equally among those that got in during the initial distribution.

Name is taken? You put a link to Groestl coin....Lol Hashcoin (HASH) has the groestl algorithm in it.
I think he's joking, from his link..
Quote
Gröstl is an Austrian dish, simipar to American Hash... So Groestlcoin literally means Hashcoin

Poloniex would be great. I'll add another request to busoni next time I see him in the trollbox
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Hashcoin (HASH) - X11 - DGW V2 - Automatic Checkpoints - Instant Confirms! on: April 09, 2014, 01:52:40 AM
This thread is turning into a warzone. Stop feeding the troll. Just ignore and don't reply anything they say.
+1

Wow, I leave and come back and shit just got crazy up in here... Seems a troll decided to pull an all nighter Tongue Too many energy drinks, bartender cut that kid off!
Heh, did you get this crap with CGA too? just wondering cause these trolls seem to be all over every other ANN these days

Anyway, think we should do as gpuminer suggested. Replying doesn't help, so ignore may work better.

Off topic but I think it's odd/funny that the mods here ban devs, lock their threads, etc (like with community coin) but let trolls like these continue damaging the community (and yes, I happen to think endless new coins also do damage, but this at least has some "innovation" even if that's only a collection of features from different coins). At least it's not coingen with just the name and images changed.

So, solo mining is no longer feasible for me. Time to join an mpos pool.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Hashcoin (HASH) - X11 - DGW V2 - Automatic Checkpoints - Instant Confirms! on: April 08, 2014, 05:29:17 AM
Scam trolls, what a surprise...

At least you can check the coin history of this dev, even if only partial.

You think all these other coins being launched by new "somecoin" accounts don't have a history of coin development? Or do you think not being able to see that history makes them more suitable as a developer for the one new coin you do support? if at all you do support anything new

This guy must obviously have learnt from previous mistakes. Will this be his last coin? Will this coin fail? No answers obviously, just speculation for now, like with any other new coin.

Using his public history of coin development as proof of a scam is just weak
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Hashcoin (HASH) - X11 - DGW V2 - Automatic Checkpoints - Instant Confirms! on: April 08, 2014, 04:26:42 AM
Current block value:    153.00000000 HASH

So why it is down to 153? Hard to understand.

I would liek to know why it's 153 per block also?
Simple, hashrate went up, so difficulty went up, so block reward went down.

With this coin the block reward is linked to difficulty and therefore hashrate.

quite enjoying the solo mining right now =)

Really interesting coin, will be watching this one

Thank you so much for the compliments! Smiley I will be working on the website soon, seeing as the coin is running very stable! Smiley
I've got to agree on the stability. After so many failed launches it's nice to such a stable launch... the ninja thing did it I guess, just hopefully there's no ninja downsides (not enough people notice).

Maybe I'm being paranoid but the fact solo mining is still viable for me makes me think this is slipping a little too low under the radar.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Hashcoin (HASH) - X11 - DGW V2 - Automatic Checkpoints - Instant Confirms! on: April 08, 2014, 04:07:32 AM
What is the current block reward?
The op said Max Coins: ~44,000,000, but I can not believe this.
For me, started at 500, went to 277, now back at 500 (found a block 30 seconds ago)

The block reward is currently at 500 and it's dictated by "2222222/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2)", while the max coin supply is fixed at 44,000,000.
Yeah, thanks for the details (tho I did notice them in the OP)... and I think I just understood why Manswe "can not believe this". It's the CGA style block reward/difficulty thing. So 500 seems like a hell of a lot now as a percentage of coin supply, but that's only cause of the low diff...

...if I understand things correctly

edit: down to 153 per block, right?

Been solo-mining for a bit now.

Thumbs up!
Agreed. Shame it too me so long to get around to it. I'd probably have tens of thousands rather than the shameful 6155 I have

I'm getting a lot show up and vanish, what's the reason for that? (first time successfully solo mining so excuse the stupidity)

An yeah, at this point an MPOS pool would be handy for me too

edit: and I'm getting crazy high rejects through sph-sgminer solo... any pointers?

For low difficulty solo-mining you should use "--scan-time 0 --expiry 0" to allow the miner to continuously update for new work.
Thanks, that helped a lot

I tried mining this launch and boy was it hard, hopefully what scraps I did manage to mine payback miner time.
