61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading indicators/traders would you recommend? on: May 12, 2022, 12:32:07 PM
I use this one for 1H time frame. Sometimes I need to optimize it with the current market conditions:

For LONG:

Open
RSI (14) is up by 20% in last hour
Price is above SMA(50)
RSI (14) is below 70

Close
MACD (12, 26, 9) is crossing down MACD SIGNAL(12, 26, 9)

63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for good trading on: May 12, 2022, 12:13:33 PM
Nice thread there, thanks for sharing. As most traders tend to be caught up by the emotions and trade more aggressively when having losses.I have some tips as well about how to deal with revenge trading.

Accept the loss. Take a breath. Resist the temptation of “getting back what was yours”. Markets are unforgiving.

Do a self-assessment of what you did wrong, and take a note. Losses are our best teachers.

Adjust your trading plan if necessary.

Stick to that plan!
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: May 12, 2022, 12:10:31 PM
Most traders get too greedy, they deviate from their trading plan and end up with losses.

I have these written on my wall.
-Always use stop loss
-Use Take Profit, don't be greedy
-Stop overtrading
-Start small and grow

Yes, there is ongoing communication with Bybit, as well as OKX, FTX, and some brokers

Awesome

So I used the tool to perform trade on Binance All was good, but I have seen a few things that need to be clarified on

1.  The templates are a little confusing, What is their exact purpose?
2.  Why is the option to trade using a demo account removed as soon as one links their Binance account?
I think traders should also have an opportunity to practice their strategies using the demo account.

3. When the trade is cancelled in the exchange manually. It shows as though it's still active via Cleo Finance.

Great to hear that! Thanks a lot for trying it out Smiley We want to reach out to traders and gather feedback and built a trading platform that actually helps them maximize their trading success and together we can improve the odds of retail traders everywhere.

1. There are 2 types of templates.
One of them is the conditions templates on the smart position section. There are 10 templates in total and each of them is different trading setups for different markets. Traders can use those or customize them such as changing their parameters, adding a new rule, or deleting them. Pretty much anything.

The second type of template is the asset management template. There are 3 templates there but those are just for the exemplary purpose to show users how Stop losses and take profits works and how to customize them. Asset management templates are temporary, we are going to add new templates that users can use and customize according to the way they trade.

2. Demo account will be added for sure. It is in the pipeline like many other planned additions and improvements. There is going to be a constant improvement on the interface, tools, templates+descriptions, and more stuff. We want to make sure every tool is of high quality and delivers its value.

3. It can be investigated if you can provide your position id. For support, you can reach out via this address: support@cleo.finance

I would really love to check out your platform during the times when I am trading, but there is a small problem. The exchange I usually use for most of my trades is Bybit. Do you have any plans to extend support to Bybit, Bitmex and more of those other popular crypto trading exchanges?

Yes, there is ongoing communication with Bybit, as well as OKX, FTX, and some brokers

70  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions should never be traded. on: August 17, 2021, 12:25:46 PM
I'd want to provide some guidance, particularly to individuals who are new to the market. You think you should buy in ALTs whenever the market is rising. And it's possible that you'll gain from it. However, the market drops after you make your investment. When the market falls, you believe you are losing money and sell everything. When you watch the stock market rise, you invest. You will continue to be harmed in this manner. As a result, anytime you need to invest, put a tiny percentage of your portfolio into it. As a result, even if the market falls, you will still have your portfolio. Never trade based on your emotions. Calculate carefully before investing.

So true, I have read a nice short article about it the other day. Adding the link if anyone will be interested in reading.

A reply of mine that someone asked similar question like this;

I think you need to dig in some online resources and if you search on reddit posts about I am sure you will find plenty of nice sources.

The next step can be to start doing some backtests and papertrades to see how much you are good at putting into practice what you have learned based on historical data and live data. The learning cycle never ends btw for anybody. So you need to keep the learning cycle on.

The next step could after backtesting and papertrades for months, you can actually start real trading. But the most crucial about this will be START SMALL just have the experience and learn how things can be when trading with real money after your preparations.

Overall crucial points in my opinion:

  • Risk&Money management - something you need to learn very well
  • Always have a well-designed plan and stick to that till your trades are done - which can be called a trading discipline.
  • We people are emotional beings so we can easily lose ourselves to our emotions such as being greedy, panic, etc. This will let most traders ended up with loss. You should definitely have a good understanding of what does it mean emotional disadvantage in trading.(You can look for as behavioral finance in trading)
  • Backtest and paper trades are significant especially when you starting for the first time. It lets you understand what are your weaknesses and strengths in trading, how good your strategy performs compared past events in the market, and on live data as well. There are some good platforms that offer such tools in a very nice way.
  • Look for ways to increase your trading skills such as trading bots. And you should try it by yourself rather than listening to other people's opinions you can take their opinion as a reference. But you will be the one who will decide what is works for you the best what is not.
  • Last one could be, do your own research. Dont listen or other people's advice, instead of listening their advice with reasoning, strengthen your perspective and researching your own. There should be a solid answer when you ask yourselves "why" when doing something.

Well those are stuffs that pops up in my head. There are more stuff to mention tho, I believe there will other people who would like to share their valuable information. And if your search your question on the reddit I am sure you find a lot of posts and comments similar to this.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: June 19, 2021, 11:54:58 AM
Hi Everyone, I have a dilemma since I am holding an wholesome portion of bitcoin. With all the speculation going on in the market I don't know whether to sell or hold on my bitcoin. I've been wanting for more than a week to see if bitcoin's price improves, but it is only falling more and more.

I've gone through dozens of analysts' blogs, websites, market cap sites, price prediction sites, and all the important bitcoin market sites to find the right answer. But I am still unsure.

So, can anyone please tell me if I should dump my bitcoins with some losses (selling at lesser price than the buying price), or should I hold on to it?

There is also another reason. A promising stock just opened up. So should I sell my bitcoins and but the new stock that I'm interested in?

Viketo Sumi (Armani123)

I have read an article explaining this topic quite nicely. Here is the link if you would like to read.

76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a Chinese, I want to talk about China's ban on cryptocurrency on: June 10, 2021, 07:34:10 PM
Using more chips and cheaper is a good reason. China is facing a computer chip crisis as there is more demand. Banning cryptocurrencies is also just one of the ways to serve the larger purpose of producing for other industries.
I think it is better to buy Bitcoin more because China policy only works in the short term and bitcoin is decentralized. There will be a day when the crypto market will not be affected much by news from China.

I think this is a very good point.  and for those who want to get more info about it here is an article that I read: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currency-china-mining-idUSKBN29R1AY It talks about the reasoning and causation of chip crisis and bitcoin mining in China

78  Local / Konu Dışı / Re: Güvenilir Youtuber ve Twitter kaynakları? on: May 25, 2021, 03:07:43 PM

79  Local / Konu Dışı / Re: Güvenilir Youtuber ve Twitter kaynakları? on: May 24, 2021, 06:28:43 PM
Twitter kaynağını burada aramanıza gerek bile yok. #BTC yaz twitter'a herkes aslan, kaplan...
