202  Economy / Marketplace / Which VPN to get? on: June 13, 2011, 02:20:32 PM
So, which one would you get?

203  Other / Meta / Create a "Currency Exchange" subforum on: June 13, 2011, 02:14:31 PM
Exchange of currencies have overtaken the Marketplace. It should have its own section just to keep it tidy.

Additionally a convention of titles just stating the currency, quantity, rate, and whether it is a sell, buy, or both(Service) order would be desirable.

Opinions?
204  Local / Español (Spanish) / Silk Road y los Mercados Negros on: June 13, 2011, 12:53:58 AM

Hey, voy a hacer un split aquí y crearte tu propio hilo.

Mientras tanto, te refieres a The Silk Road? Esperan abrir el registro de nuevo una vez que cuenten con la infraestructura para maejar el Trafico. Black Market que salio recientemente es solo de invitación ya que tuvieron una ola de Trolls.

hey gang, here's the scoop...

The site went mainstream way faster than we were hoping and we weren't prepared for the traffic.  Everyone on the site knows what a pain it is getting 502 errors all the time.  So, we are working on setting up an even more secure server that can handle all the traffic as well.  Once we get that set up, and make some more improvements here and there, we'll be opening back up, whether by invite, open registration, or whatever.

For everyone pissed at us, we just want to offer our sincere apologies.  We really didn't expect all of the media to catch on so quickly, and we should have been prepared with a semi-closed system.  We'll do our best to get out of the spotlight and hopefully the merits of Bitcoin will become the focus.

Also, if there is anyone out there locked out of their accounts with bitcoins in them, pm us here with "bitcoins in account" as the subject.  Please don't pm for any other reason.

This is fun, love you guys/gals Cheesy

205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transactions made retroactively illegal? on: June 12, 2011, 05:16:47 PM
In the Mexican Constitution is explicitly forbidden for a new or changed law to have _negative_ retroactive effect on a sentence. Should the judged be found guilty by a previous law and the sentence to be too harsh it can have a retroactive effect in his favour should a change or addition be made.

Oh well I will have to pass on that ones, though the quartz idea is still cool.I will see if I can get some Bitcoins to pay for them Smiley
208  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Announcing "Bitcoin4YourThoughts"... on: June 12, 2011, 02:05:39 AM
I offer Quartz Crystals, and I offer Thoughts. The link to the Youtube video is for entertainment and elaboration on the predicament of a lost object. Yes it's a no-brainer to get another one Quick.

Ok then, you are selling quartz crystals. Can I get a quote with shipment to Mexico?

What is the "Thought" service?
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Graph: Exchange price relative to computing cost on: June 12, 2011, 02:03:40 AM
Oh, that is really cool. Can I hotlink to it from any website/blog/twitter?

211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one looks better? on: June 12, 2011, 01:23:43 AM
I then invite the OP to add credit next time. :/
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one looks better? on: June 12, 2011, 01:18:15 AM
This is actually an insightful post.

I wonder though, what exactly do they represent and are they to an appropriate scale and graphing?

I suppose:
-Search: Google Trends
-Price: USD, EUR, PLN, SLL?
-Forum: Most online? New Threads, replies?
-Trades: Volume of exchanges, trades on forum, transactions in the blockchain?

Some clarifications would be appreciated and proper y axis welcomed.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: Graph: Exchange price relative to computing cost on: June 12, 2011, 01:13:42 AM
Nice one, could you develop a "live" chart showing Market x between network difficulty?
214  Other / Meta / Re: Non-bumping reply? on: June 12, 2011, 01:12:58 AM
There is a plugin that makes "bumps" just be edits of your OP if it is the last one. This would be appropriate to keep SPAM out.
215  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Announcing "Bitcoin4YourThoughts"... on: June 12, 2011, 01:10:14 AM
Ok, so you are offering an x service and you link me to y music?

Also, can you elaborate on your service. I don't understand what you offer. :/
216  Other / Meta / Re: Moderation on: June 12, 2011, 01:02:08 AM
Agreed. There are a lot of people that don't believe in BTC and they need to be kicked off the forum. They do not believe and they do not believe in BTC.
I don't totally agree with that. Constructive criticism is a requirement for an open environment. Maybe we should open a section for Trolls/Doubters and deal with them separately. Should it be actually constructive it would be welcomed in the main discussion area.
217  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin difficulty not making mining worthwhile. on: June 11, 2011, 11:56:01 PM
Just create a trailing order at 30 USD in TradeHill. That way when they get to 30 in a possible/theoretical future you could even profit over it.

If you credit is at 20% I would worry about a lot more. Also, a second option is do the same game as the treasury. Just release Bonds! Tongue

This cheered me up. <3
219  Economy / Economics / Re: Could this be the answer to the regression theorem issue? on: June 11, 2011, 10:13:24 PM
That is hilarious, you don't know something yet Bitcoin solves it. xD

I fear we might become a cult sooner or later.

Quite close to the situation:
220  Economy / Economics / Re: Price vs Difficulty Charts - indicators for buying or mining on: June 11, 2011, 10:09:52 PM
Mhh, I revive the notion of real time Price vs Difficulty charts.
