Dunno, maybe it is tungsten! xD </jk>

Should this be in a conspiracy forum? What is going to happen to the USA since allegly it is were this fake gold bullions came from? Are there going to be penalties/retaliation towards the USA?

So many questions. xD

Captcha is better than nothing. Do the ad ones and make a few pennies off the hackers.

Store a column on the table for failed attempts. If the count > 5 then require a captcha with the password. On a successful login, reset the count.

If the count say, gets over 50, lock the account for verification, or run a cron to reset it on a daily basis.

Another flag inside the account when they first login could show these hack attempts, something along the lines of "57 attempts to login to your account were done prior to this login from IP: " etc... TOR IP's of course won't be very helpful.

Last log in from IP can also be helpful if people pay attention to it and normally login from a similar address.

None of that makes it bullet proof, but it certainly makes it easier to quickly spot an issue. Needless to say, your password shouldn't be password for something that stores money in it.

You _never_ lock based on an accunt. You _lock_ based on an IP address the request came from.(Look into the account lockout denial of service attack)
523  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin parity. on: February 01, 2011, 05:36:48 PM
Dunno, I feel it is coming down to 0.55(near the open for the day) if that is the case I would still be happy except for the hoarders. xD
Time to sell your bitcoins or buy merchandise? xD
524  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin parity. on: February 01, 2011, 05:26:54 PM
On noes, the price looks like falling. D:

Are you sure we won't get back to around 0.55?
525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Near dollar parity on MtGox on: February 01, 2011, 03:56:40 PM
BTC just increased in value by +50% now it is at around 0.85 USD per BTC. OMG, S3052, you were right, parity is pretty damn close. D:<
526  Economy / Marketplace / Re: The Bitcoin Times on: February 01, 2011, 12:33:09 PM
So, maybe it should be biweekly and not weekly? Also, chris, can you send me the articles and ads so I can compile the new issue or should we wait for next week and make it official biweekly?

I'd be interested in a journal style thread where you write about your day, how you ended up where you are now, etc, with a donation address at the bottom. You seem to be a good writer and whether you're lying or not is irrelevant if you're producing something interesting to read  Smiley

Probably would be a good idea make a new thread if you were to do something like that, this one is cluttered.

I support the notion, I can set you a blog if you want or you can use blogger. Then just put it in your signature and keep us updated in the threat. If you can get a camera(video or photos) it would be even better. Smiley
529  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: PrestaShop ecommerce and Bitcoin automated payments on: January 30, 2011, 06:59:38 PM

There is a guy who claims is working on the module. Post there if you want or update your thread with a bounty/pledge.
530  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: PrestaShop ecommerce and Bitcoin automated payments on: January 30, 2011, 02:18:40 PM
There is already a thread about this and a module coming our way. The best thing to do is pledge for it in BTC. Smiley
531  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (>10000Mhash/s, join us!) on: January 29, 2011, 10:56:51 PM
The pool is now over 30 GHashes/sec. Smiley
532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Graphs of the total hashing speed on: January 29, 2011, 07:09:48 PM
Wait no I know the name. The first graph is in log scale. So it goes 0.1 -> 1 -> 10 -> etc in the form of 10**n
533  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Add mining functionality into FOSS games? on: January 29, 2011, 03:40:30 PM
Well there could be an option on the main menu reading: "I want to aid the developers economically donating my spare clock cycles into Bitcoin Mining so they can continue their task of providing great games for free." [ ] <- Checkbox.

The end user doesn't need to know what is bitcoin; only that he is making money for the developer so he can enjoy a better game tomorrow.

Hey if of something helps, not all people is like that. Why didn't you hold the equipment until the payment was done? :/ I am sure each is worth at least 200.

So, do you have a job yet? How is telemarketing going?
535  Economy / Marketplace / Re: JACKPOT DICE on: January 29, 2011, 01:09:11 AM
LOL I at least got a confirmation. Cheesy

Also, I won and bet 5/6 the returns I got. That should be enough to always end up winning the house. Wink

Have you not told me that when you gambled, you lost some money?

Oh, cmon, it is fun. Apart do the math! He is offering a statistical return of 8:7.  For each 7 BTC in I should get 8 BTC out on average. Tongue
Disclaimer: I do not advocate gambling. Each one is responsible for their gambling. Smiley

537  Economy / Marketplace / Re: JACKPOT DICE on: January 29, 2011, 12:28:25 AM
20 min and no single confirmation, maybe you should follow ProbiWon path?
538  Economy / Marketplace / Re: JACKPOT DICE on: January 29, 2011, 12:08:28 AM
Wait, how do you get 2:6 if I am getting 7:6 from summing 1:6 + 6:6 = 7:6. Also, no, I hadn't bet. I only refresh while the first confirmation arrives. xD
So it would be: 2:7 + 6:7 = 8:7 which stills makes you statistically lose. :/
539  Economy / Marketplace / Re: JACKPOT DICE on: January 29, 2011, 12:00:41 AM
Dunno, maybe I am out of luck. I believe the odds aren't just plain 1/6 per number. It is more 1/10 for 1 and 6 and the other just got the double. That would bring the return down to 7/10.
540  Economy / Marketplace / Re: JACKPOT DICE on: January 28, 2011, 11:58:10 PM
Yeah, except it is fishy that after at least 108 trows non of them are 6. :/
Did anyone got a 6 yet?
