I don't like the on-video captions. They are hard to read. See 1:11 for instance.

Also, DON"T TYPE WITH CAPS! It is like shouting.

732  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Free Open Source Decentralized Exchange - Pledge 10 BTC on: January 03, 2011, 03:26:49 PM
Wait, I read your pledge, it is different as far as I am concerned. This should be helping out to implement the Ripple Concept to an exchange. I will go with them then. Smiley
/Topic lock. Pledge cancelled. It is more appropriate to help the Ripple guys.
733  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Free Open Source Decentralized Exchange - Pledge 10 BTC on: January 03, 2011, 05:33:59 AM
Well, you could use it as a base. Though, the current implementation still relies in a web server.
734  Bitcoin / Project Development / Free Open Source Decentralized Exchange - Pledge 10 BTC on: January 03, 2011, 03:31:33 AM
The idea is similar to Ripple. To get a web of trust of people who is willing to exchange you currencies or commodities. You building a trust with others should be able to join the market and make bids and asks. This should not depend in any server. This shall allow us to reach markets were by law no one can compete with the govts or big companies. After all, who can they sue on this one?

  • Each peer should be able to set up percentil and nominal fees. By example: I can set up a 1% on each operation or 1% + 1 unit of currency or even just ask you for 100 BTC per exchange of BTC to Whatever(USDs, CADs, etc).
  • I must be able to set up limits on how much I am willing to trade with individual users.
  • It should be self organizing trough the trust network.(So you can keep up market records in your web of bids/asks, historical, etc)

Pledges so far:
fabianhjr:10 BTC

Total:10 BTC
735  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Market 2 Testing on: January 02, 2011, 09:52:04 PM
A better measure would be to allow PP globally and ask for a 14 day maturing fee. You would get onsite credits. The best part is that you can still sell Bitcoins and get USDs quickly. This could help adoption.

Thanks for pointing out my error.
738  Economy / Marketplace / Re: EVE Online in-game currency (ISK) on: January 02, 2011, 07:40:26 PM
No, I am speaking of the ingame trade-able item that is called a Pilot's license. It is bought in the market and he notified me it is worth around 340 Million ISK.

lucky, could you actually buy gift cards or something like that and offer those instead?
739  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Crowdfunding(Open Source) - Pledge 30 BTC on: January 02, 2011, 07:38:04 PM
Something important that Kiba mentioned is that this is not the same as this section. This section is for crowdsourcing a job. You want something done and will pay for it. This crowdfunding allows presaling and market analysis before actually starting or to see if there is interest for a specific movie/documentary or even a product. I hope I had set differences aside and more people join the pledging or actually take on the job.

This is great for creative persons and entrepreneurs who want to start something. Smiley
740  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Rain Droplet open decentralized community credit on: January 02, 2011, 06:47:46 PM
That means I must not set an interest rate. It is like saving. When I get it back it is worth more.

EDIT: The best part is that I cannot double spend and must wait for it to come back. Cheesy
