I've been curious about that as well with the Bitcoin cash thing. Anyways I was bored at lunch. I'll pretty it up later.

Is this project still on the table?

Yes, and I finally had time to get the mosaic ID search working. Feel free to give it a try!

Right click on your avatar or another members avatar and click on Copy Image Address. Paste that into the mosaic ID search and the location of your avatar will be revealed.

I hope to start getting more prints soon to sell. Sorry about the delay. I didn't want to begin sales until I knew that I could devote more time to the project.

The site states that it is shutting down after today. I am sad to see it go.  Sad

Blockr.io is shutting down after today. Sadly all of my analyzers use their services. Until I find time to figure out a new source, I am suspending all analyzer scans. The sites will remain online but will not update the stats like before. Once a fix is in place, I will let everyone know in this thread.

Can you also add a field for the serial number of the bar in the series?

Sure thing Smiley

I added a small feature that some of you might like (or hate Cool). BTC Sold Value is now included on each casascius bitcoin page. This is determined by a coins opened date.

example https://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=1CSPuHsVM61KD8vg7FgG8YZsguJvznHVMP
Sold Value:   $156
Today Value: $2,430

Very cool, I like to see these solar stats. Have any need for auto-gen text images? i.e. the top images here.

Hi, stopping by on a random visit to the forum.

Coblee's gold 1000 BTC Casascius coins are legit.  They are 2factor.  I sold them to him when we met up in San Jose for one of the earliest Bitcoin conferences (I'd like to say May 2013)?  Without looking at my records, my eyeball's recollection was 20 to 30 coins.  He got the single largest delivery of the gold blanks that I had made up in the first place, and in exchange, I got a ride in his tesla (and some random looking digits added to this blockchain thing out there on the interwebs).  I just didn't sell very many of the completed coin at the premium price I was asking, and the more 1000 BTC became worth, the more even trusting ("testing") the 2factor system for the 1st time with your hard mined 1000 BTC becomes a heartstopping leap of faith.  So that's why I made them available that way to Coblee.  I am pretty sure I made no more than 50 of the gold coins.

Very cool, Thanks for verifying such a cool and unique collection. Are you still selling in-person?

Thanks!

The NastyMining Green Energy Project thread was voted a winner of the "Most Appreciated Post" contest on the Bitcoin.com forums!  As a result, we have won 0.7 BTC that will be sent to the NastyMining holdings address!

Thats all very cool! Thanks too the people who voted!

Woot! Glad to hear it!

The dies for this project are being crafted this week.  The gold price is being locked in tomorrow, and I am ready to receive final payments for the gold.  I imagine it will be less than 2 months before these coins are in the hands of their owners.

Wow that's quick, can't wait for some pics!

~2 yrs later:

I'm seeing great still, no issues seeing at night. That went away about 6 months after. My only annoyance is that I still have that knee-jerk reaction where I want to push up my glasses on my nose. That only occurs in the morning when my eyes are adjusting to being me being awake, and before coffee Smiley

I didn't get any email even though I recall subscribing to the mailing list. Oh well, not much I can do, except re-subscribing in the hopes that it works next time, so I don't miss something cool. Grin

Same here.
Too late for the suites.

But, I did resub to the list.

Same.  Sad
