1  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to grow my fan following on FB? on: February 21, 2018, 03:51:49 PM
If you don't use ads it will be very difficult to reach out and get more of a fan base. I've found Facebook ads to be quite beneficial for the FB groups and clubs I'm a part of. Google Ads may be another way as well, but then again, thats not on facebook, its just spewing ads in a search engine. Keep it simple, throw $20 or whatever you can afford and run an ad for a week or month thru FB. It doesnt hurt to just try it out Smiley

Good luck!

Awesome! I'm hoping the kiosks start popping up at the Home Depot soon, I wouldn't mind having a Powerwall unit or two.

There is scheduled maintenance for next Monday 2-12-18 1-2pm EST. Downtime should only be 15 minutes.

Interesting fact

Between February 7th thru February 24th 2014, there were 34 coins opened. This was the time period when Mt Gox was starting to investigate their vanishing bitcoins to when they halted trading. 117.5 BTC was redeemed for roughly $74,000 USD. Today that is worth over 1.2 million dollars. Shocked

I updated the ebay search link with one that removes most of the junk results for sold casascius coins. Give it a try over at https://casascius.uberbills.com/?page=tools  Cool
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Scam donation email posing from BitcoinTalk.org on: December 18, 2017, 12:04:00 PM
I just received this 40 minutes ago. First thing I noticed was that the Bitcoin address was different. Is this a scam? The email header looks looks like its coming from some paint company...

Header, obfuscated for my personal email.

I rewrote the backend scripts and chose another block explorer to use with the Casascius Analyzer. This should provide more accurate opened dates than in the past. Scans will take longer for a couple of days, then I'll switch to only checking active coins.

I will be making the API source change to other analyzers soon. Once again dropping BlockExplorer.com as my source  Cry

Lots of good info on Opened dates on the site. Check it out!

I hear that this design is used in the video game Escape from Tarkov. http://forum.escapefromtarkov.com/topic/43362-in-game-bitcoin-question/

Yeah it was broke, probably for awhile. I've fixed the issue, however I'll have to figure out a way to determine the opened dates for all coins that have an opened date of today.

/frown

In other news. The total worth of all Casascius coins (Active/Opened) is over 1 billion dollars.

Man I get the feeling that the power company must not like Tesla if they make em jump thru hoops to install.  Sad

Cool idea, I just started noticing the new rank.
15  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Casascius Bitcoin Analyzer on: November 30, 2017, 06:20:36 PM
Are you sure the analyzer is up to date? Last opened coin really 2017-05-24?? With forks and BTC passing 10k nobody opened a single coin?

That does seem a bit off. I'll look into it this weekend and see if something is stuck. I know Silver and Gold prices are stuck until I can drive out and turn on a switch at my remote site. Roll Eyes
16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Casascius Regret? on: November 29, 2017, 12:09:39 AM
The only regret I have about Casascius coins is not buying a truckload of them 6 years ago.   Cheesy

I do not regret buying a truckload of them. They might have been duds and rejects, but they got me through some tough times. I do regret selling most of them though.  Sad

It is always fun bumping into a fellow collector from time to time.
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Various Crypto Coins on: November 22, 2017, 08:05:20 PM

I assume this is a redeemed 0.1BTC coin? if not and it is funded I instant buy

I would have too. Good catch!

The only casascius coins I have available to sell are the redeemed series 2 brass coins.
18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Various Crypto Coins on: November 21, 2017, 07:59:48 PM
Updated list, had to redeem some coins. If you're interested in opened coins I may have, feel free to ask!  Grin

Which ones are opened?  I looked but couldn't tell.  Any silver?

Sorry about that, I've added OPENED to the ones I've redeemed.

ONE OF THE COINS THAT DOESNT READ ON THE MICROSOUL ANALYZER SITE IS SHOWN ON THE COIN AS

1JBgNMhh

2013 coin

500 minted

0 results for:
'1JBgNMhh'

lfi333@aol.com

refund please

No need to panic, the analyzer site has a partial list (circa ~2013) of microsoul addresses to go off of. No result just means there is no data.

naypalm
