61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 30, 2014, 01:20:46 AM
Hi,

my ants (batch 1) are giving me only a 75% awarded shares on the Eligius pool.

Anyone having the same issue? How to address this?

Thanks,
HR

Although disliking your methods, some respect for finally coming clean.

Great review

Do you often ask a series of stupid questions that are factually inaccurate, and have already been addressed in the thread?

I'm simply trying to understand where this $9mm figure came from and if there is a buyer offering it today.

From my calculations, I can buy in stock equipment from Bitmain at $1/Gh + power supply. This equipment can be air cooled and doesn't require any fancy water cooled solution to work.

I can buy AM chips at $0.35/Gh which would be equivalent to purchasing HF chips except for the fact that the boards for HF chips are more complicated than for Bitmain or AM chips. I'll be overly fair and say the HF chips are worth the same.

27,000 chips * 500Gh per chip * .35 == $4,725,000 USD

This price is only relevant if you actually have a buyer who has 20mW of data center space and enough capital to build boards, coolers, PDUs, PSUs, cabling, etc.

Seems to me that there aren't very many people who have all of these pieces ready to go. It takes months of work and planning to build even a 350Th/s mine.

So it seems you are valuing the IP at $4,275,000. Again, who is going to purchase the IP at this price? Do you have a buyer?

If that is a dumb question, I'll happily leave the thread.

You are an investor in Liquidbits, so you know very well that you are only addressing a portion of the assets that will be sold.

I am constrained by confidentiality agreements so I am unable to make it clear to people how stunningly disingenuous you are being.

HashFast part II: the ugliness continues...

We could start collecting signatures to show the judge that we are against the sale for x reasons. He will be the one making the final call.

Btw, on the dream side of things, if the 16nm design is ready for tapeout, and we only need the money, and we collect say $5M from the sale of chips and another $5M from an external investor, that could be a better use for the money rather the the proposed "hold bitcoin to pay back our creditors, our estimates are saying so" (they didn't knew bitcoin was going up so they didn't hold it, but now they do and they will be betting our money on it).

Good idea, if we don't express our opinion on this they will get want they want and stuff the rest of us, the committee could use our petition to support the case! I suggest we put a simple form on Dropbox and every one should sign in and upload it again?

What do you think?

Yes good idea

What a crappy deal for creditors.  Do we get to know everyone who has any financial interest in liquidbits?   Because they are obviously in bed with Eduardo and Simon.
Simon and Eduardo get to keep all the intectual property that was paid for with creditors' money. And they avoid all the nasty inquiries that seem even more likely to route out misuses of company money.  The little inconveniences that would require them to repay money they took and possibly face charges.
Liquidbits gets free use or all the chips and the IP to make more chips and boards without paying creditors anything up front.
And we creditors get nothing but the hope of a chance to get partial repayment of our claim over two years by a company none of us know and who had already entered into shady deals with hashfast before.
Hopefully the judge sees what a joke this is.   They seem to value their debt at 100 cents on the dollar and include it in their assets or contribution yet all other creditors' debt was valued at zero and only given a continent possible partial payback.   Where is the notarized capital structure of liquidbits so creditors can even see if they have sufficient equity in place to do what they claim?

I agree with this comment  Shocked. So basically one creditor gets paid off. The rest of us can only dream, hope and wish.

Any updates on cheaper coolers? Is the Arctic Freezer 7 at around $24 still the best option at this point?

As stated earlier.. I can do 22 each + shipping. I found a reseller but I gotta have it by the case. I am buying 205 of them for myself.

I bought 52 of them (might order some more) for 12,25 EUR (about 16.5 USD) each, but it was from a Dutch shop (they only ship to Belgium and the Netherlands).

Anyone knows if there will be custom duty tax or VAT to be paid when importing from China to US?

VAT (value added tax) only applies to European Union countries that have adopted the VAT tax scheme. It does not apply in the U.S. Being in the U.S., I've never had to pay custom duty, thank goodness.

OK, thanks!

HI all,
I got a notice from DHL today for 2 sendings from USA and China.
I took the import documents paid VAT via bank transfer and left papers @ the customs office to wait the money to be confirmed and then papers cleared.
Usually in Bulgaria this takes 2-3 working days. If we got lucky I'll have the chips by the end of the day tomorrow ( second day).
AS soon I have chips in hand and count what received I'll contact miner source for a list of the participants in the GB.
This will be the moment we will count our 2 weeks shipping time.
WE 'll dispatch boards as ready by the orders number as it was placed  in our site .

One shipment must be from me then.

The other from me. It's already out for delivery  Grin.

Dammit!

I mean good for you Smiley

Bobsags3 and TechnoBit
There are minions in the wild that will not produce 100ghs.
Have the minion chips been graded?
Is Black Arrow sending out grade A chips?
Is this project guarantying 400ghs per four chip board?
Or will it be, be glad you got anything and STFU.

I was warned of a potential 2-5% failure rate but I am hoping that is not the case. I hope there is no grade difference either.

Edit: Here is what Blackarrow said,

We have received your ticket. I'll make sure that your ASICs are shipped on Monday.

Please note that our ASICs are not tested therefore 2-5% might not work. This is a standard practice in the industry.

Regards!

If they haven't been tested, there will be dead chips and there will be differences in how well the chips work. I suspect this may surprise some in the GB. Explaining the no response to my question of guarantying 400ghs. BFL ended up putting three low grade chips in a two chip Jalapenos at the end. Less ghs/watt.

We shipped marto more than a few extra chips from our personal converted orders to cover chips purchased from us to extra, and to account for dead chips for everyone else who has gone thru the GB, consider it a free bonus.

That's what I call taking care of your customers!

Seems like my miners are on their way. Just got tracking info from BA which seems to have been on its way since the 12th.. and is now in my country.

Sadly they didnt get my updated address. This means that DHL has been trying to deliver the package for the last 2 days.. just not where I live any longer.

Anyways, should hopefully get them tomorrow.

X1 or X3?

Ken has stolen all of the bitcoins, has directed the mining farm into his own pocket and is now using what's left to fight his various legal battles.

Ken has won, the scammer has won.

Whoa whoa whoa, I started KenScam and ActiveScam (sr), how the hell did I miss IntelliScam... trademark income down the drain!  LabKen is still the best.

Seriously though, Ken deserves jail and the box of rape that comes with it... I would be glad to post bounty  Cheesy

I am at the US Trustee's office for the continued 341a hearing. Our lawyer scared Simon so much last week that he is refusing to appear. He and Eduardo are hiring personal lawyers.  Interestingly, Simon has hired a lawyer Ray Gallo aggressively pushed the committee to select.

Either he/she would be a very good lawyer then, or...

My chips were sent directly from BA to Technobit (batch 1) instead of first passing through Minersource.
It seems they are now stuck at customs.  Undecided

bobsag, are you aware of import duty and/or taxes to pay when importing to Bulgaria?
Did you have to pay for any when the first batch of chips were imported?
Yea all chips will get held in customs for release its not a problem its just Bulgarian customs normal procedure

Tnx. Let's see what happens
