Did you try starting the wallet with "-rescan"?

Thank you for the above inputs. I am glad that it is not a problem after all.  Cheesy

Its a shame that the last trade at Usecrypto was a MCZ trade about 5 days ago.
------

I have been asking the possibility of setting up a SWAP trade pair to sponsor MCZ. No immediate answers yet.

As long as the MCZ blockchain is running, there is still hope. Cheesy

423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Joincoin (J) ToR Anonymous All Algorithm mining! NEW THREAD on: November 27, 2016, 05:37:11 PM
Hi,

Did anyone notice that an address imported from the other one to a new wallet is not working?

The commands dumprivkey -> importprivkey are working well and the imported address showed up in the table through the "Receive" tab.

The problem is that the expected transactions/balance carried with the imported address do not show up, even after I restarted the wallet client twice. I have a lot of experience in using these processes with the other cryptos.

I would be a problem itself and very bad for future paper wallet or webwallet ( during the down time) users.   Smiley
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Joincoin (J) ToR Anonymous All Algorithm mining! NEW THREAD on: November 26, 2016, 05:10:36 PM
I can setup the new block reward on my fork. If the community agrees, we will push the new wallet to the exchanges etc.
What about 1J from 1 Jan 2017 to 1 Jan 2018, then 0.5J forever?

I like that pallas. Let's see what others think.

I like that, too.  Cheesy

As long as mining activities continue to grow, the Joincoin network will stay strong without the possible benefits of adding POS. All those have been discussed since last year.

One thing I am afraid of is that whatever the remaining original seed nodes, if any, might not fork along to the new wallets but most likely it does not matter.

Secondary, We would need to start a new website. The Joincoin.com has been taken. Our previous Joincoin.org site has been down. I will set one up (Joincoinz.com) within a week. It would be mainly for users and promotions, as mobile friendly as possible.

The other things are adding wallet features, including such as promotional games. It might directly or indirectly help to attract new users and values and more miner supports. Does anyone know if opening a wallet to play game(s) without mining helps the network? In any circumstances, we would need a webwallet system for mobile users and promotions. Wallet features, if desirable, might just stay with webwallets or even independent apps. If integration with the regular wallet is a great idea and affordable, we can always keep a light (original) version and a media (enhanced) version.

Cheer.  Cheesy

changing the block reward scheme is easy.
the hard part is programming the fork, updating the exchanges, notifying everybody and stuff.

Let's think it over for a couple of days and probably reach a preliminary consensus over the weekend.

With a great future, I am 100% in support of this coin and luckily enough probably can get enough funding for the purpose. All I need is continuing support.

With the final work .........

Lastly, with so much great mining hosting supports, it's no problem to drastically increase block time to say 777 (and this would be the nickname of this coin) and block rewards can start at 16, as long as the network would be able to hand the future needs. This would drastically cut down the blockchain size, which when too big would make wallet client hard to handle its jobs and the wallet functions become extremely sluggish. Some coin(s) with a very short blocktime is facing such problems.  Cheesy

I'm strongly against increasing the blocksize. It would be a step back.

I think you are talking about the block time.

It is true that a shorter block time make confirmations of transactions faster and more appealing.

The Joincoin has around 0.3 GB total blockchain files at this moment. It will very soon reach 1 GB if the blockchain advances at it maximal pace. During the life time of this coin, it has not reached the maximal blocks/day- mostly within 350-1500 blocks/day.
Most very-short-block-time altcons went through pump-dump-die, not having to face such issues.

It is still possible to leave the present block time of 45 seconds, leaving the need for solutions, say, 3-5 years down the road, when the next generations of faster CPU chips/computers might be out to prevent these issues. Or simply fork to a new coins with old wallet balances. The Bitcoin has a 500-second block time; it has a slightly larger total blockchain files size after around 9 year (since Jan 2008.)

I am fine with this- to leave alone the present block time of 45 seconds
.  Cheesy

What about the halving time of block chain rewards? I think it should be longer one, again 777 days or 999 days is good.  ("888 coin" is already taken.) Cheesy

With the final work based on practicality & feasibility & Critical and essentially fixes. Algo & difficulty adjustment should be considered and made but only if it is possible and easy to make. Not everything can be done exactly what we want but I would rather the team to handle the specifics of these. Consider this as once for all  and a long term fix; avoiding constant algo changes like what the Myriad coin does; we cannot afford that; And in the end, it does not really matter if for example such as the difficulty level ratios between different algos being not exactly right, because miners come and go based on the difficulty level and adjust to that.

Lastly, with so many great mining pools and  supports, it's not a problem to drastically increase block time to say 777 second (and this would be the nickname of this coin) and block rewards can start at 16 (based on less daily block counts to about 1/17) , as long as the network would be able to handle the future needs. This would drastically cut down the (total) blockchain (file) size, which when too big would make wallet client hard to handle its jobs and the wallet functions become extremely sluggish. 427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [COINO] The New Coin(O) Community Discussion Thread on: November 18, 2016, 02:33:15 PM
Hi, all CoinoCoiners,

It appears that a fundamental change for Coino coin is needed, i.e.,

A new Coino coin should be created ( with best choice of algo, probable POW(X11)+POS, long block time (333 or 365 seconds)  but higher block rewards (33 or 8 from 4 Coinos/block) to cut Blockchain file size, with all balances ported to the new coin.)

In effect, A new coin (already fully mined) will be forked to and start to run energetically with new algo and any development could happen without problems.

--------------- The line below would be edited for further clarification from time to time ----------------

Since the fork one month ago, problems started to show up.

The lifeline webwallet stopped working. The litesight node crashed and cannot be restarted.
A node was made by the most experienced node maker. This node started to have problems in running. New nodes cannot be started.

This is due to too extremely unprecedented blockchain file size of 1.2 GB for wallet client to take care of. The Bitocoin (with block time "20x" of 500 seconds, 9 years vs 3+ years of lifespan) has about only 1/3 blockchain size and it is not facing this problem yet.

In short, I have to give up the webwallet. Then we are free to start the coin in whatever best possible ways we would want. Because of being a new coin, we should put aside the facts that this coin used to be Scrypt-algo and opt for best choice of POWx11+POS due to being the best choice. A pure POS only new coin is more expensive to build and harder to manage.

Any one considering taking over, probably restarting with halving starting at 1 Joincoin/block, or perhaps fixed 0.5 Joincoin/block? It should be a lower amount of rewards no matter what, considering the initial supply has been officially completely mined.

If not, we have to consider outsourcing.

429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Joincoin (J) ToR Anonymous All Algorithm mining! NEW THREAD on: November 17, 2016, 04:58:36 PM
Block reward is now 0 + fees.

So mining is essentially done, which is a shame for such a unique coin.

The CryptoID explorer did not seem to get the right count. I though it would take about one month to complete the total supply of 2.8 million Joincoin.

Before anything else, We have to rely only on transaction fee from mining.  Smiley

I am still investigating the possibility of sponsorship above.
Expecting to get preliminary answers (or no answer) in 1-3 weeks.
Hang in there.  Cheesy

Swiss exchange site was long gone at least 1 1/2 years ago.
Now CoinoCoin  symbol is CNO (used to be CON, which is now used by payCoin PayCon)

Coin(O) is now traded at Cryptopia   https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=CNO_BTC

Just set up Twitter for Coino.
We have 9 Translations.
---------------------------------
Coino was made in Germany.
There are plenty of "Rocket Science" Cryptocurrencies made in Germany nowadays.

What we really need is a very mobile friendly Crypto for any potential users in every corner of this world.

More refinement is needed. Probably a Video clip by the end of the year.  Smiley

I need to figure out why I paid bitvalak for a work which presently showed nothing through the Link. See the above.
I remember that I checked and paid but I could have clicked and posted the kakade's link for Indonesian translation on the front page of this thread, but bitvalak did not have the work done?

In short, kakade's translation is the only one available and posted but not getting paid. Both persons' posted or pm messages are so close to each other; therefore, certainly confusing. By the way, are you really separate or one person(s)?  Huh

I did not know kakade, I send PM to you to clarify that I had booked this work of september, and I also checked kakade account created in September. If you accusing me of having an account "kakade" it was a lie, you can check through the post I made.

local board moderators always deleted those duplication of a previous thread, maybe it's a duplication that's why it's been deleted.

Coin_trader's explanation clarified everything.

At this moment, I have no doubt.  Please put all these behind us and again continue to contribute to Coin(O) and help to introduce Coin(O) to more local people as much as possible.
Thanks.  Smiley

Based on what happened, I decided to compensate kakade, too.

Please continue to contribute to Coin(O).

After more testing periods, A full scale promotion should start within 2 months.

A well functioning, simple, easily interactive, light-weight, streamlined jackpot-like webwallet-based system should be ready by the time.

A Faucet for Coino Announcement and information for additional Faucet-Jackpot Link-site update at the Fauceting.com is created. It is a weekly faucet.

For all your referral and promotion efforts, always point to this kind of or future new links with a large BTC payout, so you can be rewarded through affiliate links. We have yet to see how useful this could be.

Free Coin Trip Terminal

It will be maintained effectively.

Enjoy.  Smiley

As exlained above and on the first page of this thread, re: Translation Campaign of Coino, Indonesian translation was reserved and done by someone by the time of your request.  The work was never reserved for you. There was no agreement for any new work for the language.

Anyone can still contribute to promotion. I need more time to find ways to facilitate promotion but certainly not basically duplicate works. Certainly, I will reward for any efforts but not until after I review them and after I see the impacts from those efforts There is no preset amount of possible rewards for those efforts. Sorry for all these.   Smiley

Ok to start Translations now:

1) What to tranalate?

Op of this thread, (Quote one) of this thread

Everything above the:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:

2) Creating and posting on a New Language specific announcement Thread.

As long as all links are working appropriately and no misinformation and the new thread is created, the work is considered done.

3)  There might be better ways to keep the specific-language threads active.  I am finding ways to keep active promoters of Coino rewarded.

One part of translation that you can definite change is the QR code link to Fauceting.com which is build-in with my affiliate link, to see effectiveness of the referral. You are free to create your own affiliated link and to change that part of the scan code.

I am creating an Coino announcement and gateway faucet @ fauceting.com, So that any of your referral can point to that big weekly Faucet for any Coinocoin updates and news; therefore, your referral can be counted and credited.

Let's make Con(O) run for all of us.  Smiley

Pleased note: Any work should have been reserved first before starting to avoid duplicate.
