463  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I "protect" my wallet on: February 11, 2015, 01:51:30 AM
Armory offline wallet, never connected to the internet or any network of any sort.
Offline transactions with Armory.  Best way Ive found so far and the program is
GREAT.  Lots of backup and offline wallet options.
464  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: February 05, 2015, 02:25:00 AM
No, using the latest stable version 0.92.3.
I tried opening in offline mode and the program opens just fine.
Only crashes at Building Databases then the Armory-QT service
will crash at the same percentage every time.

Is there another more appropriate thread here I can post on
for support?

Are you using the testing version?
465  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: February 04, 2015, 05:46:35 AM
Question for the Armory support guys here.

I had Armory recently crash and then would not open properly anymore, so I did a
factory reset / re-download the blockchain.  This didnt help.

Now Armory always crashes at the exact same point when it is at the
step - building database.

Ive even done a full uninstall of armory, delete all its program files and appdata
folders, reinstall armory, full download of the blockchain, but Armory still always
crashes at the same exact percentage of building databases.

I even re-installed it under a new user account in Win7 but crashes the same.

Ive done a reset / re-download of the blockchain at least 4 or 5 times with the
torrent option enabled and disabled.  Always crashes.  However BitcoinQT always
opens no problem when I check the status of that.

I verified bitcoinQT opens properly, got the green check mark and is fine but
the armory app always crashes now no matter what I try.  Any idea here
how to fix this?  I cant get armory to load anymore so Im kinda locked out
of the wallet if I needed it.

Another BIG LOL at this thread when BTC is crashing harder and
harder every time I check.  I like my Gold I bought last year at $1300
that is only down $70 or so per oz.  Now BTC is down like $600 or more
since I bought in originally.  What exactly is crumbling, oh yah, BTC...
SIGH at this epic BTC fail lately Sad
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will the price be on the 31st of December 2015, midnight? on: January 09, 2015, 06:57:04 AM
$1 or $1000

Or somewhere in between.
Looks more towards the $1 range at the current trends.

Traders are Bitcoin's cancer.

Yes, Yes and Yes.
A million times yes.
This is what is killing BTC.
470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet on: December 18, 2014, 12:58:06 PM
If you trust anything but an Armory offline cold storage wallet, your
coins are not secure.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $80,000,000 dollar transaction just hit blockchain! on: December 04, 2014, 08:00:59 AM

I love coming back here every time I see the BTC price slip more and more but
the people here still are convinced gold is doomed.  LOL.
474  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services on: October 22, 2014, 02:43:16 AM
PayPal is the biggest joke on earth.
I would suggest that if you do accept PayPal, contact them and see how
the person paid you, and if it was with CC, refuse and refund the payment.
I just lost quite a bit of money from Payments that had to have been from
stolen credit cards or credit card companies that are as stupid as PayPal.
The payments were FOUR months ago, and PayPal said they were issued
and unauthorized payment charge backs.  OK, I know for a fact that the
limit for charge backs is 45 days.  No claims ever filed with PayPal.
SO, in other words, PayPal is facilitating fraudulent payments with stolen
credit cards and allowing reversals with no proof and no PP claim.
Its the biggest joke Ive ever seen in my history of PayPal.
Even when you have emails from the buyer for items that were for services
rendered and local pickups, PayPal ignores that evidence from their PayPal
email address and just takes the money back.
Ill never accept another dime in payments from PayPal ever.
If you can get screwed almost 5 months after the person pays because PP
doesn't do their due diligence or proper customer checks, and allows and
facilitates and enables fraudulent payments with stolen credit cards, which
they are in charge of, I cant verify a stolen credit card, and then they make
me responsible for paying that back, they can suck a bag of dicks and die.
I have stopped using eBay and PayPal and do 100% of my shopping on Amazon.
If I had a way to do it, Id put PayPal in the dirt and as out of business as possible.
FUCK PAYPAL TO DEATH.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any Bitcoin wallet apps in apple marketplace? on: September 03, 2014, 05:32:28 AM

479  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 07:48:15 AM
Of course I've seen that post, but it really tells me nothing,
The compensation I was offered is insufficient , like I said late shipping +
Less hashrate

Three months to ROI is not to short, my inital calculations based on the original 5.4 th and 2500 watt usage along
With a middle of August delivery had me making ROI in three months

Currently there no way I make ROI  in less thank 5  six months now which I unacceptable

It tells you that you can ask and get a refund if you are unsatisfied with the compensation plan. Even the full refund is insufficient?

Even after you have been fully refunded  + extra with no skin in the game, you continue to complain ?  You would have more than likely committed suicide by now if you had went with the Neptunes from KNC or another company.

Some people just like to complain...

Call it what ever the fuck you want if it makes you sleep better at night dude.
If complain = call a POFS a POFS and point out that the compensation is BS, the
Oct 31 pre-order a BS offer to future customers that need to think seriously before
throwing away money.
Anyone who considered KNC was dilusional to start with.
SPTech started good then just ended up like all the rest.
They might have the fastest miner on the market but its still 2X overpriced.

For all future customers, my two SP10s BARELY got me my money back after selling them
after 2 months use, and I was making WELL above the BTC price selling mining contracts to
some local customers who had more money than brains and wanted BTC at any price.
Had it not been for the very reasonable price I sold the SP10s at and them continuing to
pay for overpriced mining contracts to keep me mining for them, Id have lost money.
Keep that in mind when you are making about .09BTC per day or less now with an SP30 today and
likely 0.75 BTC next month....
Waiting for BTC to have another temp crash / crisis and buy it low is a MUCH better option
then mining.  I learned that the hard way.  Dont let RoadStress or ANY ASIC company tell you
anything else.
Unless you are getting the miner at 1/2 the advertised price and can get some dirt cheap hosting,
save your money, you will lose money in the end.  My SP10s were case in point of this fact and the
difficulty increase, hardware delay is only going to get worse in the future.
480  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 26, 2014, 03:14:28 AM
So how much is the final compensation? $1500?

The only way to break even from this disaster is if they shipped you a second SP30 along with
the one you paid $4500 for for free at the same time.  Then you would still be pushing it giving
your hosting or power bill just went to double.

The group buy price which clearly advertised   -   SP30 pre-order - Specs: 0.69$/GH + 0.46W/GH
Is what was advertised and promised over and over.  Now they want to back tread to oh well it was
really only maybe possibly probably MIGHT be 5.4TH/s after promising 6.5TH/s ?  Plus a utter failure
on power usage too.
But still dont want to compensate for that.  Oh just give them a coupon for more stuff in October,
Oh yah it will ship again the last day of October, and its all good right.  Please.
Send a message, everyone who was in the group buy ask for a refund, lets see what happens and if
they honor that.
These bullshit preorder ripoffs, make more money for the manufacture schemes need to end.
