81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PumaPay - 🚀🚀Comprehensive Blockchain Billing Protocol 🔥🔥 on: May 11, 2019, 04:05:34 PM
Guys please don't quote fudster's posts because obviously they don't know what they're saying and its very clear that such nonsense was meant only to increase post count and will do no good to the project, instead we should discuss matters pertaining to PumaPay so that we may gain insights to this nice project and gain from it. Smiley
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PumaPay - 🚀🚀Comprehensive Blockchain Billing Protocol 🔥🔥 on: May 08, 2019, 07:26:56 AM

Global payment service provider, Ikajo International has committed to adopt PumaPay’s cryptobilling solution!

https://pumapay.io/#/news/ikajo-international-to-adopt-pumapay-cryptocurrency-billing-solution

This  is another milestone for the project and I've seen in this thread several partnerships being announced  which amazed the community. I think it would be awesome if the team could compile a list of existing partnerships and other adoption commitments so that we can see the whole picture of what did PumaPay has achieved so far.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Existing problems totally unsolved on: May 07, 2019, 11:37:27 PM
As what I've stated before, maybe all of this issues and concerns will be minimized if we focused our sights on reverse ICO's and not on ICO's or IEO's. In this way, we are assured that the project already has a working product and this greatly minimizes investment risks. With regards to token dumping, one way to avoid that is to find projects where the team and investor's tokens are vested for a period of time to make the price more stable and to avoid sudden dumping.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is not that bad as stated on: May 07, 2019, 11:16:13 PM
I support IEO over ico because it’s reallu scam free . But as a investor we have to do our research and potentially of token or coin before investing . Atleast IEO gave opportunity to us for investing new crypto projects.

I suppose IEO's are not scam free and that is a very dangerous idea to entertain which could lead to us incurring financial losses due to our naivety. I mean how can we say that IEO's are scam free when most of this projects don't even have a product to show or is being under development. What if the team decided to abandon the project altogether leaving all investors in disbelief?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's Have Been Getting EXPOSED! Finally... on: May 07, 2019, 02:34:52 PM
I had actually envisaged it will come to this, the period there were a proliferation of ICO's and a lot of them failing and exiting scams, currently it has gotten to the stage people do not trust them anymore. Right now any project that wants to provide its worth should go via campaign only and prove its worth. It will take time before any ico will survive again

Most project's with ICO has been in the limelight recently and is being typecasted as scam but we all knew that some of them are indeed worthy projects. Although it may have been a challenge for the team of a real projects to earn the confidence of the community,  some members still believe in them that is why there is a growing trend right now which is a reverse ICO - a less risky alternative to ICO. Smiley
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs drop in value is no threat on: May 07, 2019, 02:01:49 PM
Maybe IEO's drop in value is a true reflection of people's sentiment towards it - realizing that its just like an ICO and projects that had done it could be a possible scam. The good thing is the fact that some IEO's under reputable exchanges which did not perform well only means that the crypto community are getting more matured now and already knew how to avoid the pitfalls around it.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is not that bad as stated on: May 07, 2019, 01:30:25 PM
IEO's are just a scheme for fund raising similar to ICO but with some improvements but it will not also guarantee that a project is scam. This is a dangerous notion to most members of the crypto community and I'm calling everyone to exercise necessary steps to be aware of this blunder before it will be used by scammers as a tool for their illicit schemes.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of the largest banks in France issues a token on Ethereum blockchain on: May 07, 2019, 11:40:27 AM
Ethereum finally getting some attention, lately it has been binance chain, eos, tron, neo and all the likes of that getting attention of ethereum and that resulted with ethereum not having too much increase lately, ethereum investors like me need these type of news to show that ethereum is not dead and it can still produce a lot of big things like it.

Ethereum is basically all in one package and I can understand people looking for alternatives, bitcoin was an alternative itself to fiat currency so of course nothing should be a monopoly but we do not want to destroy ethereum at the same time neither, we just want some healthy competition. Large bank working with ethereum blockchain and creating a token is probably not that huge since its probably experimenting but it is still a big step forward to crypto space.

I agree! Financial institutions such as banks are joining the Ethereum bandwagon and maybe exploring its benefits and testing how its existing platform could integrate with it. There has been recent news of banks worldwide that already uses Ethereum or have plans to adopt it which seems a good news to the entire crypto community.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: May 06, 2019, 01:30:52 AM
Another blow to Ethereum: ARN is switching from ERC20 to Binance chain.

These greedy people are changing their chains just for a little lousy PUMP.

Yes. It wouldn't have matter and will not affect Ethereum right now since its ecosystem have already hosted several significant projects and it wouldn't hurt them if some would jump out of the ship. Also, such migrations would not give assurance of the project's success and that is the point of contention right now on the entire cryptocommunity and I hope everybody should know that. Smiley
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware of the new exchange's IEO! on: May 05, 2019, 10:46:59 PM
I guess we should treat IEO's and ICO's the same even if its implemented by a new exchange or not. What matters most is that we should research the project first, assess its worthiness and try to figure out relevant factors that are important to a project and see if it meets our expectations since its very important to know that we are investing in  a project that could give us a high probability of good ROI's and peace of mind.  Smiley
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you interested in knowing the real Satoshi? on: May 05, 2019, 10:19:15 PM
I like to think that we should just be contented with the status quo. I guess Satoshi Nakamoto has deliberately hidden his identity for reasons unknown to us and that I'm afraid that if his/her real identity is revealed, it could open a flood gate of questions and issues that might have negative impact on the whole crypto industry.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Fraud Hits 1.2 Billion on: May 02, 2019, 04:16:54 AM
The ever increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies has been a magnet to ordinary people to become an unwilling victim of a fraud be it an online investment scam, phishing attacks, malware attacks, hacking attaks or even theft. Identifying this fraudulent activities and becoming more aware about its signs should be a priority for every crypto enthusiasts and we should find a way or at least educate ourselves in order to mitigate or prevent such incidence.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Mining Still Viable? on: May 02, 2019, 02:24:56 AM
Is mining bitcoin still a viable venture to undertake in today’s world? We will explore that question in this article. But first, let’s explore the various ways in which you can mine Bitcoin.

By reading this article we are assuming that you are already familiar with the basic fundamentals of Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining. In this article, we’ll explore the actual hardware, software and technical aspects that are required in order to be profitable in Bitcoin mining...

https://www.bitcrypt.co/is-bitcoin-mining-still-viable/

It highly depends on your geographic location, availability of space, government regulations, and attitude towards mining. The high cost of energy to mine bitcoins can also affect your profit margins.  Before the popularity of bitcoin exploded, mining was very profitable due to a low number of competitors in the market but many have shifted and turned away from it.

The main focus of your income would be towards the incentives rewarded from transaction fees. If the price of bitcoin suddenly skyrockets, it has the potential to become valuable again.

If your mining equipment has a low mining power or hash rate to compete with other Bitcoin miners, then I think you should direct your mining resources to  profitable coins and exchange it for Bitcoins in order to make your mining more profitable and efficient. This is a strategy that some miners have been doing and it seems quite effective but then I suggest you have to make a feasibility study first before you start any mining activity.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of Altcoin can buy now? on: May 02, 2019, 02:13:38 AM
Smiley Market is day by going below in Altcoin. If i buy some Altcoin now for long time hold what type of coin can buy?
please give me suggestion of experts about trader.
You can buy potential coins which are included in the top 10 CMC for your long-term investment, in my opinion coins that are included in the top 10 CMC have good prospects in the future and investing in them is also safer, I suggest a coin BNB for your investment now because BNB has a fast growth besides that you have to have bitcoin and ethereum as your long-term investment

Maybe all you guys have forgotten about DASH being the first in its class of privacy coins and has been one of the best Altcoin that has achieved great ROI's since it was listed to exchanges surpassing all those that have been previously mentioned. And also, it has superb development and has a large support base among the crypto community but nevertheless we must practice DYOR first before investing in any kind of cryptocurrency.

Disclaimer: This is not an advice to invest in a particular cryptocurrency.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers running free on: May 02, 2019, 12:04:57 AM
True, A lot of scam project now, Since nobody put them on jail. That's the disadvantage of cryptocurrency because every scammer can get away so easily.

In that sense, I guess we need to have some kind of regulation and a de facto governing body that could go after those fraudsters and apply to them judicial measures to discouraged would be scammers but I think its near to impossible now since there is little cooperation among the crypto community and almost everybody acts only for himself. Imho. Smiley
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass Adoption = Instant mobile transactions on: May 01, 2019, 11:24:27 AM
I think the mass adoption can be made only if people will afford to buy crypto and hold, and shops with crypto, but indeed maybe lightning network can help because of speed of the transfer, and yes a smartphone will help because of portability.
Yes mass adoption is coming all over the world but we need more time as it is not so easy for the people to adopt in this kind of technology. If you are reading news, there are so many bitcoin ATMs out there and bitcoin used as a payment in stores using lightning network which is very awesome step towards mass adoption.

I think the foundations of a massive adoption is already in the works right now and they will become an integral part on the crypto revolution! Such advances in mobile communications technologies like 5G networks, high performance cellular phones and high speed wireless networks and recent developments in blockchain technology including hardware and the emergence of crypto projects with viable use cases could hasten crypto adoption since it could enable ordinary people to tap blockchain networks easily and efficiently.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Mining Still Viable? on: May 01, 2019, 11:10:05 AM
If we take it on the perspective of mining Bitcoin as a long term investment, then I say yes it is still viable! Since most people are hopeful for Bitcoin's future prospect and potential to have massive price gains, I think they are aiming for higher ROI in the future. But I guess its up to the miners especially for those who have lesser hashing power to decide whether they want to shoulder bigger mining operating costs with minimal profits in the hope that Bitcoin's price will rise profoundly in the near future in order to recover their investments.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers running free on: May 01, 2019, 11:01:20 AM
Today, a lot of information on how not to become a victim of a scam. In order to become an investor of a project, today you need to have knowledge of how to analyze the project itself. The organizers should be ready for any questions, and not hide anything about the project. If you have even the slightest suspicion of deception, then most likely you will be right.
Therefore, until everything is organized at the legislative level, it is worth relying only on your knowledge. Do not jump into the project without solid confidence, but carefully re-check everything.

Yes, I think the first line of defense of us not being scammed is to become more  aware and vigilant on those projects that shows signs of irregularity and we should try to inform and warn other people in the community. But then again, there should be a way to apply the full force of the law and bring the perpetrators to justice so that it will not be replicated with others who have malicious mindsets.

Don't just focus on projects that are in the top 50 on Coinmarketcap, rather we should research projects that are in active and continuous development and has a thriving community because we all knew that these are the factors that are essential to become a successful project. Maybe you could narrow it down to at least 10 Altcoins to invest with to further diversify your portfolio thus minimizing your investment risks. Imho.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: May 01, 2019, 03:25:28 AM

Wow Elon Musk is talking with Vitalek about Ethereum development, let me hurry up and sell my house and a kidney to buy all the ETH!!!

Yeah, Ethereum markets reacted positively with Elon Musk's simple tweet which is quite a surprise to the community but I guess the real importance of this incident is the fact that traditional investors and technology trailblazers like Elon Musk at least know Ethereum and had acknowledge it willingly and such exposure is a big boost for optimism not just for the Ethereum community but for the entire crypto community as well.

Momentum is getting more higher there are so many positive news are coming as big players already entered into this space and many more are planning to launch their services. This is the right time to buy more before this rally get started with huge community it is much for ETH to show mind blowing performance.

Yes and I would be very surprised if one day, big time business elites in the likes of Elon Musk becomes a major hodler of Ether and such news could very well spark a massive rally on its price. I guess it just a wishful thinking but nevertheless could be realized in the near future since those visionaries are very broadminded  and they tend to disrupt the norm. I think this is the perfect opportunity to showcase Ethereum's features to them to further spark their interest into the platform.
