is there any way i can access my S3´s when im not at home, and my computer is offline?. i mean just if i type my router IP with the port for S3 maybe i can connect that way?

You can, but that is generally a pretty bad idea unless you like other people hacking into your S3's and entering their own mining information.

You could have leave a computer on that is connected to your network, and use something like TeamViewer to connect to that computer while you are away.

Another option is to setup a VPN connection through your router.

yeah ok if i had my computer on i have teamviewer on mobile so i can access, ok i will think what to do Smiley

also, can you please tell me S3 size with fans included? Im not right now at home and i want to buy a shelf  Smiley

because official sizes: Size:  331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm

are with fans also?

what about this psu?

http://www.ebay.es/itm/IBM-Blade-Center-DPS-2000BB-A-2000W-39Y7359-39Y7360-Netzteil-PSU-/310977267813?pt=PC_Netzteile&hash=item4867b08865

dont you need also a board or something to be able to connect it to the S3??

You will need some form of breakout to connect them to antminers. Sidehack has a board coming for them, and thats a dam high price for that PSU.

whats a good prize then for that psu?? im from europe so i cant find here i think the prizes you have in USA Sad
http://minersource.net/products/delta-dps2000w-server-power-supply
Even with international shipping should come out cheaper than the ebay link, and we will have the boards in stock as soon as they are available.

i dont think so Sad

Prize is GREAT, 39,99 PSU, but delivery.... 85.38 $ cheapest one for spain.... Sad i think i will have to find it here in europe.

And there´s no way to buy those boards here in europe also???. because delivery to spain is so expensive

The delivery cost would be much cheaper for multiple units, I think its only an extra $5-10 per PSU after the first. The boards are manufactured here in the US so there is not EU option to buy the boards right now, sorry.

and i think i would have to pay also customs maybe. Arggggg i will have to move to the USA Grin Grin

Whats the frequency that if you OC you need to connect 4 PCIE?? I mean, more than 218,75? 225?

And if you dont OC, its recommended to have only 2 PCIE connected?? Or if you have 4 it doesnt matter?
130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 27, 2014, 08:56:45 PM
The huge amount of discards and so low accepted then thats because they are the opposite? discards = accepted and accepted = discards?

It does not seem that way. Some of us got those discards down via a setting mod, and the accepted shares stayed about the same.

Mmmm then whats the problem?? with S1 those values were always good. And in my pool im not having problems so.... those discards must be wrong  Huh Huh And i dont think im the only one having this issue

Hello,

Can someone please tell me what is exact wattage at the wall (in Europe) using branded PSU, without any overclocking? And what is exact hashrate of the device (average) on panel and on mining pool?
I would like to add Antminer S3 to my small chart, showing efficiency of various ASIC miners. Thank you!

Check s3 oc thread. For me 721 watts 2 s3 in spain

Right now for me

713 W total for 2 S3

Frequencies:

1-->430 GH/s stable, 212,5 Freq, 41/42 temp
2-->439 GH/s stable, 218,5 Freq, 46/43 temp(cant run at 212,5 i get xx and -)

I will keep them that way just to test, i dont like the OC its nos stable  Huh
134  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer S3 support and OverClocking thread on: July 26, 2014, 12:09:02 PM
It is. I pay 0.12 kwh. Even with OC I earn more / month and the prize increase for power is not that high.  OK then I will leave it this way Wink thx

Edit: well but I don't think they can explode for OC. They almost run same temperature than without OC and watts increase is not that high.  Mmmmm hard decision . For me it was mining stable at 440 using 218.75 but if I can get more with OC. .. I don't get any X or - works fine

Temperature getting from a particular point doesn't mean that one of your component is getting fried.
But bitmaintech's technical team can contribute something here.
Else we need to check it ourselves without the cover.

But i dont know why, the S3 that has less hashrate, is not estable with 237,5 now indicates its hashing at 367,66 .... i will have to lower frequency for that S3. arggggg. will test it with 225 freq

other S3 also decreased from 475 GH/s to 460 GH/s (250 frequency)

that is the dc to dc convertor it warms up after time and works less efficiently .  thus the hash rate drop.

I have my 2 units set to 212.5  they are rock solid at about 430 gh they pull 328 watts  each.

212.5 ok man thx, i will test with that frequency too Wink (default 218.75 game me 412,72 and 434,55, lets see with 212.5, should be less GH/s i suppose...)

bot at 212.5 are 690W how can you have 654W  Grin

LOL with 212.5 on my best S3 i get x!! haha i cant lower to 212.5 that unit xD

After few frequency tests, this is what i get:

1st S3, which is the one that gets lower hashrate, using 237,5 frequency(cant run at 250 frequency, i get a lot of xx and - since second 1):

2nd S3, higher hashrate, using 250 frequency:

Do you think its worth it to run them OC considering what i was getting at default 218.75 frequency??

Here are previous stats:

Before OC:

1st S3  --> 218.75 --> 345 W --> 412,72 GH/s  41/43 TEMP. WORKING GOOD. NO ERRORS
2nd S3 --> 218.75 --> 369 W --> 434,55 GH/s  42/43 TEMP. WORKING GOOD. NO ERRORS

After OC:

1st S3 --> 237,5 --> 399 W   --> 455 GH/s 45/45 TEMP. WORKING GOOD. NO ERRORS
2nd S3 --> 250 --> 415 W --> 475 GH/s 47/45 TEMP. WORKING GOOD NO ERRORS

138  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer S3 support and OverClocking thread on: July 26, 2014, 10:20:51 AM
then with what frequency u can OC if you are lucky to 500 GH/S?? 237.5 or 250? I see some people get to 500 GH/s using 250 and others using 237,5 , why is that?

Overclocking to 250M will make the S3 hash at 504Gh/s as per datasheet.
237.5M will hash slightly lower that that. At 225M the miner will hash at 478Gh/s.
At stock frequency 218.75 will make it hash at 441. At stock its somewhat stable at 441.
But for other higher frequencies will fluctuate for most in a wide range.

ok thanks, im testing with different frequencies. one of my 2 S3 cant run at 250 frequency, gets xx and - since second 1

If i want to use these small fans to lower temperature:

https://www.leroymerlin.es/fp/14453873/ventilador-fe-10c

and because i see its so cheap to have them all day running... where will you place them? i mean, these S3 are inside a box, so i will have maybe to put those fans in the rear part taking hot air out, and maybe in front also to blow more fresh air inside the front vent that blows air into the S3?
140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 26, 2014, 09:23:58 AM
Ok thanks.

Whats the maximun temperature you recommend for S3?? My room is not a very cold one, i have to move units, but till then... i have temperatures of 45/46 both blades in my 2 S3. (that running them at 237,5 freq, if i use 218,75 they get 41-43 temperature
