wow... how much you earn / month will all that? how much are each of those neptunes and hashing power?

edit: I googled and i think each of those neptunes is 3TH/s ?WOW

5 of the Neptune boxes is 3TH
Seriously? You mean each box is only 200 Gh/s?  Like an S1?

No.  Each Neptune box runs between 600-700GH/s.

According to this article:

http://cryptomining-blog.com/2795-kncminer-is-ready-to-start-shipping-the-3-ths-bitcoin-neptune-asic-miners/

each neptune = 3TH/s

Well im sure that they earn a lot / S3 Smiley

batch 1 lasted just a few hours or 1 day i think, and batch 2 its unlimited?  Grin

Stay on topic go spam someplace else no one wants to enter your raffle we want to talk about the S3 not scamming people into buying your raffle tickets

and the winner is number ?

Back to topic.

I was wondering if  anyone got a coupon or if anyone has ordered in batches 1 and 2.

I am hoping I get it around July  9  10 or 11    as sometimes it comes early.

I have ordered batch 1 and 2 still no shipping confirmations yet

Well they said batch 1 ships 10th july and 2nd batch 2-3 days later. Hope its sooner im from batch 2

S3 is still too expensive, especially when delivery is not immediately.
I hope they will release coupons soon !

At the moment, what other device under 1BTC is a better price than AntMiner s3?  It may not be the perfect price for ROI but I can't seem to find anything better.  Please post other options in the 500GH range.

Really like the simplicity of AntMiners with only a network cable and 2 power plugs.  My 2 s1's run none stop without issues.  The new s3 looks sexy with the new cover.

BTCBTC
DoubleDD

yeah and paying in BTC is so cheap, considering you have 1 S3 for 599 EUR in the "famous" online shops
365  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 03, 2014, 01:52:20 PM
then dont buy anything. dont buy S3 or whatever hardware out there.

Life is a shit.

Ill be right back, im going to suicide  Grin

S3 is so beautiful, how its not going to ROI? xD
366  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: July 03, 2014, 09:11:35 AM
Just to know if this S3 ROI or not, made simple maths:

lets imagine i buy 50 S3.

50 S3 = 23900 GH/s without overclock
25 pairs x 1,48 BTC = 37 BTC = 23888.57 $

And for power costs, i calculate around 34 $ / S3 without overclock / month(costs 0.18 $kwh). So 34 x 50 = 1700 $ / month all together.

Right now, if you have 23.900 GH/s you earn / month --> 14083.18 $

So imagine:

14.083$(earnings) - 1.700$(power) = 12.383 $ / month.

We have difficulty increases, yeah, but right now, i see next difficulty will be 15998489889.0 / -4.9% [est.], is that correct??. Difficulty decrease?. Anyways, i think S3 ROI, but of course im just a noob here and its just my simple maths  Grin

I dont have to buy PSU also, as i have 2 corsair CX750M from my S1´s

Stick the costs for you're location in on the left of this web site :- https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

This page will give you some idea of what you should use as a difficulty increment :- https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

ok thx Wink

Sorry but what coins can you mine with those? I just used S1 and now i bought S3, didnt know about these neptunes but i suppose they are so expensive xD

another long block, bad week Embarrassed
We are now 1% of the network.
When we solo mined we stopped when we became only 1% of the network because variance starts to rear its ugly head.    We need all these spondoolies and ants that were delivered to point some here.   On average, we will hit a block every 16 hours so do not start to stress until it is a couple days.  It just sucks since the electric bill does not seem to share this variance in timing nor price.    But everyone is having a tough time right now (maybe the adjustment was too high).

but this happens in this pool, or if you mine in another you will find blocks faster? Or this happens in every pool maybe?. (i mean this week). i come from slush and i prefer better this one, but this week is a disaster with long blocks.

Im not going to leave of course, but yeah........ sucks that just 1 block every 16 hours, and again already almost 20 hours and counting.

anyways like rewards are based on shifts, you can just say i go to another pool and try luck there on these bad days here because of long blocks, because you will lose your reward, so its ok, i will just hope everything goes better some day xD

Sometimes when it rains, it pours other times it sprinkles but there are always rainbows. Besides I was really thinking about forking some usd for that s3...but it seems like I won't get it till the end of next month.  Has anyone purchase them yet?

Yeah got two of the first batch ^_^

I got two , 2nd batch Smiley

and what does bitmain put as declaration value then? higher price???  Huh Huh
When they do their shipping the question on the forms are  how much there worth, it should be how much the customer paid. But regardless. Bitcoin has no value till bitmain cashout.

So, are you telling me that for example in my case, i paid for a pair, 1,48 BTC, if when they deliver S3, BTC value is 1000$, thats what they will declare as value???
373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 02, 2014, 01:50:55 PM

Just bought 2 S3(1.48 BTC). Now i just have to wait till i have all confirmations and i will receive email with delivery details, right?

Yes, you are right. On the Bitmain web just check status of your order.

Status says: Paid ,Unshipped,Valid

so now i just have to wait i suppose  Smiley

Suggestion for good power supply for s3 Huh

thanks
Suggestion for good power supply for s3 Huh

thanks

I will use my 2 corsair CX750M that im using right now with 2 S1.

366W S3 without overclock, so no problem if you overclock, you have 750W and a very good PSU like Corsair.

How much W S3 overclocked?? 488W?

As per the datasheet values below, S3 can be overclocked to 504Ghs and further to 554Ghs.
The stock clock speed is set in between 225M and 250M and voltage per chip lies in between 0.72Vand 0.75V per chip (366W/S3).
When overclocking to 504Ghs it will be consuming around 390W at 250M Clockspeed.
And when overclocking to 554Ghs the clock speed might be 275M and power consumption around  488Watts.
Further overclocking may not be possible, everything lies in finding the sweet spot frequency.
Take a look at DC-DC converters, they are a lot in nos, do you have any idea? Even this new chip consumes lower voltage than S1.

S3 Datasheet Values
Voltage(V) | Hash Rate(GH/s) | Current(A) | Total power(W) | W/GH
0.72                14.18                 10.40             7.49             0.528
0.75                15.75                 12.24             9.18             0.583
0.80                17.33                 15.20            12.16            0.702
0.85                17.33                 20.00            17.00            0.981

Thanks! But its as simple as overclocking S1 just using VI and changing values? 504 GH/s would be great if its 390W

and what pool do you recommend for mining?
Right now i have my S1´s in bitminter and last 2 blocks.... 1 day and i think 14 hours or so.......... so frustrating....  Undecided Undecided Undecided
All the pools are hurting right now, the public can't compete with the factory farms and the growing private farms, but if you want a pool that's doing a little better than where you are now checkout BTC Guild.

But i thought that the more hashing power, the more easy to find blocks. Isnt that correct?
Variance is variance and luck is luck, you can look at the stats posted in the BTC Guild's web page for yourself and see if they have found more or less blocks than where your at, I'm just giving a suggestion because you asked.

Ok thanks i will check it Wink
