If you are mining PRO at becausepool, please consider solo mining, increasing your PRO mining elsewhere or pointing some of your miners to another pool.
becausepool is an honest pool and well-run. But, they have more than 51% of the network hash power currently.

I think some anonymity as a feature would be nice to have if the development effort is not too great.

Congratulations to Josh who joined the admin team today as a full time member of staff working from our offices.
Well done and welcome aboard.
Darren Palmer CEO
Great news for PayProCoin. Congratulations Josh!

Come together and mine at Hamsterpool. If we can meet one of the bounties conditions we will payout the bounty directly to our miners (calculated by the shares). This pool is problematic at the moment. What gives? Becausepool is finding several blocks each hour. Solo miners are too

Beginning to think you need to be a scam coin to get on a major exchange!
Taking a look at some of those coins making the grade makes me wonder why we bothered doing everything by the book. Apparently to make it onto a popular exchange you need to offer features that are not achievable and offer no real proof of identity.
Real coins with real solid projects and providing creditable identity are branded scam and bypassed to make way for .... scam coins.
So much for fair e-commerce and a free market place in an unregulated market place.
Darren Palmer CEO
Don't let it get you down Mr. Palmer. Those coins burn too bright and will eventually be nothing but ashes. A coin only needs consistent, dependable development to move to the top and stand out from the rest in today's market. It has been pointed out elsewhere that most of these "feature" coins have terrible development and deployment practices. That makes them fun to trade on the exchanges but terrible to try to use for any practical transactions. You've got a business plan to execute for PayProCoin. Add a regular development, bug reporting and deployment cycle to really make it shine.

it go to bittrex-polo-cryptsy-mint, then die
If it is a coin with no features or use, yes agreed. However, if the dev can build in features and usefulness to create demand then it could be sustainable. Fortunately, I have the honor of working behind the scenes at PayProCoin. The only ways this coin is going is FORWARD AND UPWARD. I am enjoying the lack of unnecessary hype around this coin. Since the launch only a little over one week ago we have seen consistent and professional progress. We have not had purportedly buzz-worthy whitepapers, fake features or the other nonsense found in the wannabe alt coins. I am sure any Mintpal launch will be supported by a wider market place and more adoption. When the CEO says 'patience'... I am calmer than you are. ~CTYA

Nice work Darren and crew. It is a very steady and professional start. You mentioned a staff of developers in a previous post. What else is on the short term road map for PayProCoin? What features are expected to be introduced to the coin code? Are there any plans to make this coin merge-mineable? Will the code remain open-source? Is there a donation address where we can point hash for the benefit of a trust you control? Cheers!

Don't think my Xnode is working, ran for 24 hours and nothing has happened.
My config file..........
xmixer=1 listen=1 server=1 gen=0 reservebalance=550 rpcuser=bitcoinrpc rpcpassword=mypassword_provided_at_first_launch addnode=east01.xcnode.xc-official.com addnode=west01.xcnode.xc-official.com addnode=west02.xcnode.xc-official.com
What is supposed to replace "mypassword_provided_at_first_launch"? How do you tell if Xnode is working or not?
A message containing Xnode password would appear when you install a wallet and run xnode-mainnet.bat file for the very first time. Copy that password from the message to your config file. Thank you for replying!! I definitely missed that part.....never saw what you are describing, course I wasn't looking for it either. So what do I need to do to get this password to display again? Anyone......prrrrreeeease:-) Take this out of your .conf file and you should be prompted again with values to put back into the .conf file rpcuser=bitcoinrpc rpcpassword=mypassword_provided_at_first_launch THANK YOU very much!! Got the proper info in the config file now. How does one verify the Xnode is working correctly? Since we are in beta... wait for the next release of the updated wallet in a few minutes and use that instead. Then, either wait to see transactions or try to use a wallet from another computer to send some through.

Why does XC on divide to 6 decimals?
in util.h on github. { static const int64 COIN = 1000000; static const int64 CENT = 10000; }
COIN should be 100 million not 1 million. This means that XC are only divisible to 6 decimals and not to 8 decimals.
You can't do much colored coin related things with only 6 decimals, not enough units.
pretty stupid. that means there are 400 times less XC units then bitcoin units. If this coin is ever going to take off, it should be built from success from the ground up.
Turns out that the devs just forked mintcoin code (obvious from /contrib in the github source) and they didn't even bother to notice.
Another example of dev incompetence.
We are closed source right now, so github source is irrelevant for several versions now. Github source is version 1.33 Version 1.36 is current Version 1.37 is released tonight

This pool is maintaining excellent availability (uptime). Changing compensation methods is nice...and luck will come and go... and features and stats are neat... ...but consistently connecting to a well-performing pool is the most profitable solution for any miner.
My two satoshis: market the pool's uptime if you want to recruit to a higher hashrate.
Great job on uptime and communcation mmpool!

There is news posted on the site today. Sharing here since I didn't see it posted. 2014-04-01 The domain name for the pool has changed to the shorter mmpool.org address. The instructions and addresses for mining have been updated to this effect. The old domain name will continue to redirect for some time so there is no immediate need to change already configured equipment. Email for support is now admin@mmpool.org.
