After all those years , the block was found by that miner?!?!

c03a6b93 did not even have any hash rate in your quoted stats!

Wow.

Good I will do mine very slow one at a time

I think you should do this via email to admin@mmpool.org, right?
Admin said he cannot access Biotcointalk, so is he receiving updates from here?
23  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: October 04, 2021, 04:03:28 PM
My thanks to mikey and fuzzy

Yeah someone is pushing hard maybe we hit a block soon.
0.7 btc is a good piece of change
I would like to point the quotes out to him.

I am sure he can be reached via emails to

admin@mmpool.org

I know someone attacked the pool with ddos for years so maybe that is
the reason he stays off this site.
Here is the message I received from admin@mmpool.org:

- - - - -
I am unfortunately not able to access bitcointalk . I can assure you the pool is still maintained and blocks will be processed and paid as they are found. Obviously with the low hashrate it's been a long time between payouts, and my time spent adding features has been minimal. Thankfully the pool is very low maintenance to run, apart from server costs.

Please pass on, if you can, this note to the forum. I'll post a news item on the pool site to note that it is still active. If there are features or stats that would be helpful to add, let me know.

While I'm confident at keeping the pool operational, I'm not knowledgable on mining hardware so am unable to provide support in that area - but I can ensure compatibility if people are having issues.

"2021-10-04
After a long dry run a block has been found. Payments are currently pending, you can request a withdrawal and they'll be processed in approximately 24 hours. Your statistics page will show a list of pending and completed payouts, including transaction id with the payment is released. The pending payout will show the address where the payment will go to. Please check this and if it is not correct, contact the pool admins immediately."

Anyone knows how to connect to this pool ?

I have a good return with nicehash pool tester, but when I put the stratum address in my own asics it's always "dead"

Is this pool "sure" ? news from admin ?

Email to admin@mmpool.org

Admin replied to email and said they will not come to Bitcointalk anymore.  They will answer all emails and help with anything, even your mining configuration.

Also, nobody knows if the pool is sure until we hit the next block and get the payout.
That is as much as you know, at any pool.
This one has not hit a block for years , so nobody knows.

28  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: August 22, 2021, 11:11:56 PM
toss some solid hash at them for a while.
I wouldn't mind throwing a yottahash at mmpool or two. However, how can we be sure that the mmpool admin still notices when we find a block?
Someone point me to some kind of proof-of-life of user "mmpool", please?

I sent an email to mmpool and asked for a post at this forum to confirm we still have active support.

cheers,

ctya

UPDATE
We also need the miners to resync the blockchain when asked for, so please stay tuned!

Are you forking the coin next?

That sounds like you are forking the coin.

Anybody else [besides myself] notice the block reward drop to 2500?

The reward was 50,000 until this round.
Now it is suddenly 2,500

Dear DVC admins,

I understand you are struggling with website hosting for the devtome site due to your very recent discovery about the requirements.

However, I wanted to remind you that you need to move the domain registration very soon.

The devtome.com domain registration has not been moved yet. Please move it.

cheers

ctya

Thanks for the heads up, there is an alternative plan awaiting for you in the admins forum.

- develCuy

develCuy now has the credentials for devtome.com and will take over hosting of the site.

The DNS records were updated and develcuy now has control of devcoin.org

Please rollback, the DNS setup is not working as expected. I need help from the registrar account in order to fix this.

- develCuy

Replying to this again so it gets attention.

You should send a private message to whoever owns the DNS and changed it for you,  instead of replying to my message.
They might not see this message.

I would help if I could, but you have taken it out of my hands.

Good luck!

I hope that you will cooperate to transfer your duties to the admins team.

develcuy received the credentials for the devcoin.org hosting account today.  He should move the site and change the credentials right away.

Source code of devcoin.org is now on my server and just awaiting for MarkM to update the DNS records.

Thanks for everything you did, ctya.

You are welcome!
I came to DevCoin at a time that suited me and the project.
That time has passed.

Thank you for your service to this project and the community and wishing you well in your other work.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Taxes on crypto are getting too complicated and dangerous:
https://www.reddit.com/r/tax/comments/9tcnu8/did_i_ruin_my_life_by_trading_crypto/

The problems are the following:

1. The tax code for crypto is ambiguous, there is no widely agreed upon way to calculate taxes.
2. When exchanges fail, the trading information is lost, so it can be impossible to calculate trading gains and losses.
3. Accounting fees can be very high for crypto trading, sometimes more than the actual money made.
4. It is possible to owe more in taxes than was actually cashed out.
5. The rules change, and some of those changes are retroactive, so even if taxes are filed correctly today, in future tax collectors can claim that the taxes were not filed correctly and impose arbitrary penalties.

Devcoin is worth very little, but the accounting fees and risks are still high. It's a lot of hassle for little gain.

Because of this, unfortunately, I am going to resign from devcoin, until taxes are simplified or there's a big tax free cryptocoin jurisdiction, which I don't expect to happen for a long time if ever.

I don't want anyone to get in trouble because of something I'm doing or developing. I'll do the accounting for round 94, after that devcoin developers can handle the receiver files however they want.

I'm sorry for leaving. I wish there was another way, but I don't see one.

UTB is right, DeVCoin is worth very little, but the accounting fees and risks are still high. It's a lot of hassle for little gain.
I am resigning from DeVCoin.
I will continue my roles until the next round.

...For that to happen, I kindly ask you (for the fifth time) to elaborate your plans for each of the roles/duties in the admins forum.

"admins forum" is incorrect.  That is not where we communicate about DeVCoin.  It is a place created by you and Nova and it was never necessary to have a new place to communicate.

So you can ask a sixth time, and I will still not go to your side-channel to communicate out of public view to satisfy your need to hide the communication.

We can discuss it here.
