201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OFFICIAL] Garlicoin - Reddit's Garlic Bread Worshiping Currency on: February 14, 2018, 06:35:39 PM
I've added support for the Allium algo as well, you can already test and setup your rigs but the hardfork is planned for 16.th of Feb - so no blocks (and no payouts) until then.

Pool is here:

https://grlc.suprnova.cc

Can someone from the official team post an update to this ANN OFFICIAL thread about the Feb 16 change

204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BGP]BGPCoin - the Coin for ISPs on: February 13, 2018, 07:43:01 PM
I've been sick the last few days.  Yes, I jumped the gun on the white paper -- BGPCoin will be the currency for an electronic trading floor for connectivity services and it will offer instant clearing of transactions.

Was there some motivation besides just developing another coin for a specific use-case

I tried to find a way to create a new account on Nova Exchange but the registration page is 404 now
I will try to reach them another way

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: February 13, 2018, 01:57:49 PM

There is definitely interest from miners to get back on the exchange
I sent messages to several pool admins
A couple of the pools mentioned they are still merge mining devcoin but they do not market or mention devcoin on their site because there isn't any big exchange available
This is yet another reason devcoin is such a stable coin for several years and the exchanges will see that

I would like to take a stab at renting

you are at 262,000

you need to be at 1,000,000

can you add  port 3334 and set to 1,200,000

I thought the pool would automatically adjust the diff higher and higher.  Out of curiosity:  Is there an upper limit to the automatic adjustments?  Or was it just taking to long to climb that high?

nice hash is not that nice Grin

I wish  op would set port 3334 to 2,000,000 diff
every time I drop off and lose the rental it costs 0.0001 penalty  that is about 1 dollar

Any news about the diff changes ?
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OFFICIAL] Garlicoin - Reddit's Garlic Bread Worshiping Currency on: February 13, 2018, 01:50:24 PM
I wonder when the developers will consider they got enough coins with their ASICS and finally proceed with the fork.

Before you take your pitchfork just hear me out:
1) They chose Scrypt-N over any other algorithm, even though they have been warned that scrypt-n is easily mineable with asics and they have been shown many Vertcoin posts (a scrypt-n coin) about people using asics.
2) When people complained about Asics, they kept saying it is just FUD, and ASICS can't and won't be able to mine scrypt-n.
3) After a reddit user posted detailed instructions and screenshots of how he is using his ASIC to mine scrypt-n, the developers said nevermind, it is just one guy, we will bump the N factor or change the algorithm.
4) After so many days, with a lot of ASICS on the network, they still do their best not to bump the N factor or use a well known developed algorithm and chose to develop their own algorithm(which of course will take a lot to develop, test and implement).

Take your own conclusion: incompetence or just buying time to make the most of their ASICS.

I am mining with GPU and doing just fine while the ASICS are making garlic stronger for everyone
Get over it

Fuzzybear

We need an exchange for devcoin, and the more exchanges the better. I suggest a 60 share bounty for the first person(s) to get devcoin on another exchange, 40 shares for the next person on another exchange, and 20 shares for the next. Any objections?

The proposal got four agreements, there were no objections, and four days have passed, so it is officially in force.

I looked over the list of cryptos charted on cryptocoincharts:
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/info

and went through the list and found that the following traded high numbers of altcoins:
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/abucoins
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/bittrex
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/bleutrade
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/c-cex
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/coinexchange
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/cryptopia
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/etherdelta
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/exmoney

https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/liqui
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/livecoin
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/poloniex
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/quoine
https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/tidex

Also, Guido mentioned:
http://coinsmarkets.com/support.php

Please get devcoin on any exchange you can. The listed exchanges are just places to look, devcoin on any exchange would get the bounty.

FuzzyBear
Please let me know which of these need follow up and I will chase them down again
Some of these asked me not to post anything public about the review process so maybe we should continue in direct message

in a reply to above post

some arsehole has hacked my online wallet, ive been mining for 24 hours and payments keep coming in and the same total leaves the wallet, wtf ? i have 2FA as well

GWPMDYGPFJnwirjr7MHEJYRWmdJHtfkz5U

yeah, the web wallet of mine on the main page garlicoin.io was hacked today as well, I'd moved all my garlicoin to paper wallet..so not an issue...

they got like 6.11 garlic coin or some such...

so the web wallet installed..but obviously can be hacked (see Jan 22nd posts on Reddit)

the desktop garlicoin wallet has a known bug with windows 10 ..if you have the latest big 2017 end of year install 1709 or above...won't install

anyway, if you have to use the web wallet move to paper wallet soonest

Sorry to hear that
Hopefully it serves as a PSA to anybody reading it

Found more info on listing a coin on cryptopia.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/1484

basically you need to pay 2,500,000 DOT to get it considered Sad everyone complaining about the price...

trading on cryptopia 2,500,000 DOT = 9.5btc
..

..
4) https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/show/c-cex - Friendly good response - You can add the coin on the voting page - https://c-cex.com/?id=vote . We will surely consider adding it if it gets enough votes and the community shows enough interest. 2 - We can list a coin or asset for 5 BTC immediately

best one I found at cheapest price is 1.5 btc
https://tradesatoshi.com/addcoin
have to register free account to view
..

don't pay to get added, its a scam as they'll remove you later on and you'd have to pay again.

I don't want to pay, but if we have to, the 1.5 btc fee is doable. Should we wait a week to see if anybody replies with a cheaper offer?

Cryptopia listing is now 5,000,000 DOT.  About 16 Btc

If you're a newbie, I highly recommend checking out this introductory article about Walton Chain: https://lunyr.com/article/Walton_Chain_(WTC)

In my opinion, it does a good job at explaining what Walton Chain does, how the tech works, and where it's headed.

Also, Kudos to the Lunyr community for putting together such a solid piece.

Looks like your post cut off the last character of the URL
Here is is again for anyone interested that went to a blank page with that link

The Mac wallet failed to work.  The binaries probably need to be compiled again.

The wallet has been tested on Sierra and High Sierra.
Which version are you using?

Updated to High Sierra today and working fine!
Thank you!
