By the way, last week, I tried something (for the lols); I bought enough QBC to bring it's value right to the top of pool.TradeMyBit and placed a decent buy order at that price (was 79X Satoshi). As soon as their algorithm detected the profitability, their X11 miner jumped on QBC. I quickly removed my buy wall and went back down to 50X Satoshi where most of the orders were. TMB Pool still mined QBC for a good 10 minutes and found a bunch of blocks, which they dumped at a price they didn't expect.

Obviously it made the difficulty jump quite a bit.



Oh - and they removed QBC from their multi-port this week.

Is this not caused by multi-pools tearing in? This happens when ever someone buy QBC and it reaches the top of X11 profitability list.

Is there still issues with the wallet? Would a new user who download it from QBC.io need to manually create config file?


Edit: Tested it. Downloading a fresh wallet from QBC.io wont event sync with the blockchain. Need to create conf file and add the nodes.

The polymorphic algorithm is definitely something I would look forward/invest into. We need an algo where everyone can participate (mine) but that cannot be further centralized by ASICs. This could further push and speed up the CPU/efficiency R&D, instead of having companies "wasting" time and effort creating dedicated hardware(ASICs) that worthless from a technology advancement perspective. Since ASICs cannot be used for anything else down the road (as far as I understand ASICs?).

Although I'm not sure about the torrent-style minimized block chain. The cost for storage space keeps getting cheaper and cheaper. And with the technologies in R&D at this time, it'll just get crazier. There's good reasons to believe we'll be able to store Terabytes of data on USB sized object in the next decade. Same goes for world-wide connectivity (and download/upload speed). I'm not sure if you would benefit spending time developing this idea if we're likely to not need it couple years down the road.

As for the "you cannot horde Kleptocoins" and the need to always be "spending" it; isn't there high chance that AI would take over? Don't you think there would be tools/bot created which would be much more efficient at keeping an eye on the block-chain and "distributing" their coins almost perfectly? It's almost like they could predict the future by looking at the spending movement and the expected return of the spender. I'm not sure if I'm able to get my point across, or if I even understood the "game" right lol. So bare with me.

Why would they shut down your electricity? Anyway - if you've got 100MHS farm, I find it very hard to believe you would mine QBC directly. You should know better; there's more profitable x11 coins to mine, which you can convert to QBC. I assume you know this and you already do that? Those who mine QBC directly would be true believer in the plan of this coin, those who wants to keep the confirmation going.

The plan behind QBC isn’t to get rich off of the increase in value, at least I wouldn’t hope for any “crazy” profit before years. The plan is to bring crypto to the Francophone, the French people of Quebec. There’s a giant gap in French < > English information and as we’ve stated before, the majority of Quebec’s population do not  speak English AT ALL. - Lots of them actually “hate” English.

The scope of this coins is extremely narrow. Like crazy small compared to 95% of the coins out there.
Out of 8,180,000 people (Quebec’s population):

• How many do you think have heard of crypto-currencies and the benefit? Knowing the mainstreams mostly spread FUD about it.
• How many of those do you think care right now? Knowing Quebecers are technologically “retarded”.
• And how many of those who have heard about it and are interested speaks English? Knowing that about 80% speaks French as their dominant language.
• How many of those who understand English and are intrigued crypto actually red through the BitcoinTalk announcement page?

It’s probably down to a couple hundreds individual. The scopes get smaller and smaller the more variable you would throw at it.

We’ll need people to invest time and create tool, services, product etc. We’re in for a crazy long ride bud - It’ll be a boring one if we all wait on “the devs” to do all of this for us.

But duplicating the effort at this point is kind of a waste of time. Not worth having 2 wallets that early in QBC history. But that's assuming JP is truely working on it.

Sorry Kiki, but you can't realistically ask for this ;/. There's not better way to make Quebecers aware of QBC, and crypto, but by making info primarily available in French. There's a few Francophone that we're probably turned off by this whole BTCTalk thread... I don't have stats, but it's known that most of the non-tech-savvy Quebecers don't know more English than "Yes, No, Toaster".

Seems nobody received their Syrup, I feel terrible for everyone... I told JP (back in the days where he cooperated) that I didn't need mine - I can buy the same syrup in store. But it would be nice if he was already done with this.

In other news, QBC chart is semi-stable. Looks like we might have a found a decent floor price. Personally, I’m still receiving regular updates from the few (can be counted on 2 hands!) QBC enthusiast. Everyone one of them are truly inspirational, it’s crazy the amount of knowledge and competencies that already have QBC in their scope. Everyone’s making baby steps, but those may very well turn into the next hub, tools, services and products for the future generations!

Seems that a bunch of dev took over Saturn Coin (now Saturn2) and revamped it. They even “erased” it’s original pre-mine – from my understanding. The coin has shot up quite a bit around this news. I hope JP is aware of the dangerous situation the projects might be in… Takes one crazy dev to jump in an pull a similar stunt for QBC. And we can kiss goodbye the 10 years air drops plan w/pre-mine. Seems every “big-crypto-rig” are seriously against pre-mines, which is understandable seeing the giant risk it adds. But I keep on believing that the plan is rock solid for what QBC aspires to. We just need to think of the best, undeniable way to protect the pre-mine, and have this plan/information publicly available.

I feel bad that we’re discussing all of this here, in English, without JP. There would be a lot of value added for the future participant if the discussion happened in the language of it’s audience, with the key people. I’ve set up Quebeco.in in hopes that French folks would gather together. But honestly it’s been hell – Website pages are sometimes taking up to 60 seconds to load. I’ve opened a ticket with my funio.com, a Montréal based host… On top of that, the integrated forums layout isn’t really great. Needs to be customized with CSS, which is on my “to learn” list. So much that I don't dare sharing it outside this thread yet.
