MEANWHILE, MY 15 MH\s CANNOT BE USED. What a waste of ROI time. Cry
Is this sarcasm?
I have no idea what you are trying to say here...

I'm just stupid... Didn't give context: I've been moving to a new place. All my rigs are sleeping in boxes.

Those who have been really enthusiastic, don't let that die down but save it for later.

You must be extremly busy with other things, we all have multiple hobbies. But some of us are ready to get started now. I have a list long like my arm of ideas that I would like to begin working on, some of which overlaps with yours and other entheusiasts (I.E multi-pool).

I could of literally BOUGHT a developper for the Android wallet weeks ago. But here I was waiting to see yours, which you said you were working on... Now you (or should I say we are) buying it. #winning

JP, I'd really like to hear about the pre-mine lock-down. It's the only thing holding most of us(there's a few of us) from participating fearlessly in this project... Why are we not able to discuss and develop at least this ONE MAJOR idea with you?

Pre-mine is QBC's shackle-ball, and you're wearing it.

Cute graphics and all Roll Eyes.

Cool JP is back , good to know , now i can start mining again

I`ll redirect all my power to Quebecoin today too. I`m glad we have news from JP, i`m glad there is a bit of volume in Bittrex and the price is rising. All speed ahead to Quebecoin!!!:)

MEANWHILE, MY 15 MH\s CANNOT BE USED. What a waste of ROI time. Cry

I just opened it for the first time in a couple weeks, and my Québecoin wallet is able to sync.

It syncs now, but it`s stuck again at block 24020, something not working proprely here. At 2.5 minutes another block should appear, but it's not, and that's a problem.

All my mining rig, with my wallet are stored right now. Can't double check this. Anyone else experiencing issues?

I`ve stopped mining Quebecoin, i didn`t sell a single coin. I`ll start mining again with my whole power when the developer will be back with news, directions, proof of his work. Good luck Quebecoin!!

That's decent thinking! Just hold what you have for now, and keep youself in the loop Smiley

Is anyone seen or heard about the dev in the last time ?

Nope, we haven't heard of him the least.

Keep Calm and Carry On.

To those mad at the missing syrup, don't be bad. Grin

Hold strong and I'll personally ship every IPO investor 4 Gallons of maple syrup at the latest April 2025.  Shocked

You need to see a therapist. Major projection issues. And that's just scratching the surface.

Did we just fed a troll? Just carry on man - stop caring SO MUCH it's like you invested your mortage in this. You're trying to be a White Knight and protect people form the bad Québecoin? There's currently no movement at all in it's market - nobody is looking but a few key people. And more Key people will slowly join in.

We're wasting valuable time reading and arguing here.

People [...] are rightfully annoyed over a completely absent dev, after he took their ipo money. To say people should be fine with it, as it's a slow moving plan, is crazy.

The amount of rightfully annoyed people can most likely be counted on my finger and toes. We could debate on the definition what give's anyone the "rights" to be annoyed But the number of people who truely cares and matters is little. So little it isn't even financially logic to take the time to "manage" them.

I'd bet that less than 20 Quebecers heard, red or thought about Québecoin today. Roughly 0.0002452% of the population. Quebecers are the target audience of the coin - Not just of the air drops.

Quebecoin is exactly where Bitcoin was very early in its days. It may never see any evolution at all, and die right there. It may evolve at a slower pace, because we're technologically retarded (no offence maon' chum!). It may turn into the next thing none of us ever thought about. There's millions and million of possibilities.

We're up the the point where all I need is JP to comm forward with a SOLID pre-mine lock-down. With a project/plan according to the air-drops plan. Once that's done - nothing will stop QBC from becoming something.

If nothing of the like happens and JP never comes back, the conclusion would be seen during the first air-drops. If the first air drop isn't managed, or somply doesn't happen according to the plan - That would be the conclusion. Then we move on with what ever the QBC "herd" agrees to.

This is like the heights of denial and delusion I have see with any thread here.

Paint me as delusional and deep into denial if you want. At the end the day, I do understand how risky and uncertain all of this is.

I don't consider Québecoin a scam right now, but not saying it couldn't be.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QBC] Québecoin - X11 - DGW - (BITTREX) - Win/Mac/Linux Wallets - New on: May 28, 2014, 01:36:16 PM

People are murdered for $5 every day around the world. $10,000 for making a copy clone and a thread is a high pay rate.  Grin

God point, and truth be told... I wouldn't spit on 10,000 $.

If JP wanted to step down and leave with the IPO. I wouldn't mind a new dev / managment team.

As an active community member you're entitled to demand progress or a change in management. Never forget that that really is the whole point of peer to peer cryptocurrency. The whole system is designed from the ground up so that power doesn't get centralized in the hands of a few people who then fail to meet community objectives.

In the end, the community members matter a whole lot more than the initial Dev.  Grin

I share this feeling with you, and I thought JP would as well.

There is a few more than just me and Circo. A handful of early-adopters who understands that there’s a lot of room for crypto to grow in Quebec. There are other communities that are actively trying to promote Bitcoin and other cryptos in Quebec, and Canada. But I strongly believe “Québecoin” will sound much better to their ears. It’ll sting their curiosity better.

I really wouldn’t want to shit in JPs Cornflakes. I love QBC and the plan it comes with. It’s a really, really strong plan that would fit pretty much perfectly with Quebec’s adoption of crypto in the coming years. After reading through a lot of JP’s post all over the place – he’s WAY ahead of me. Lot’s of the thing I understood recently, he already had taken into account.

JP does not appear to be stupid. I’ve followed his project/comments closely enough that I can admit he’s smarter than I am. At least he’s got much more experience generally. So who in their right fucking mind would invest that much time and effort on a project of that size? Only then to trash the whole thing for 20ish BTC? 10 freaking thousand dollar… That get’s you very little when you are a developer with financial background. And the pre-mine? Well that worth about 0.65 BTC right now.

All thing said, the way he behaves ever since the launch is astonishingly terrible. I find it hard to believe he’s not under some sort of gag order, under investigation, forced to not say anything about the matter. Twitter, facebook, reddit, Bitcointalk (and other forum) – nothing, not a single post or comment. Not a single reach for help/opinion.

All things added – this isn’t a scam. It just can’t be. Someone as wise as JP wouldn’t pull such a terrible, inefficient scam.  If anything it’s (in)direct manipulation for cheap coins. Coins that will be worth much more at a later time.

Copying this article I've stumbled upon, just cause I feel it could related to QBC. JP hasn't once posted/replied to comment on the Québecoin Facebook page.

Say something, I’m giving up on you.

How brands interact on Facebook in Québec could cause more harm than good.

Half of French Quebeckers who stopped following a brand or company page on Facebook did so because the brand did not respond to their inquiry.

We asked 3,000 Canadians if they followed brand or company pages on Facebook. Over a third of Canadians in the ROC (35%) and 29% in French Québec say they do.

While relatively fewer in French Québec use Facebook to follow brands, they are significantly more likely to pay attention to brand updates on their newsfeed. 69% in French Québec say they read updates as if it they are from one of their friends compared to only 16% in the rest of Canada. Conversely, only 28% in French Québec briefly skim or skip over updates compared to 79% in the rest of Canada.

French Quebeckers might be more engaged with brands on social media but they’re slightly more likely to stop following brands on Facebook (59% in French Québec compared to 55% in the ROC). There are major and very telling differences in the reasons Facebook users give for having stopped following a brand.

In English Canada, the two main reasons are that the content was not relevant and the brand posted too frequently. In French Québec, the two main reasons are that they stopped liking the brand and they did not get a response to their inquiry - presumably because the brand could not answer promptly in French. One in five French Quebeckers (20%) say they stopped following a brand because the page posted little or no content in their preferred language and 7% say they did not get a response to their inquiry in their preferred language.

Marketers have an opportunity to truly engage on social media with French Quebeckers who will chat with them as if they’re friends. But they need to say something and respond in French or their followers will give up on them.

Regarding the exchanges... Do you guys think Bitcoin gave two fucks about exhcange in it's early day?

STEP 1. Store QBC in your wallet.
STEP 2. Share some coin where there's interest
STEP 3. Hold some coin - FOR THE LONG RUN
STEP 4. Huh
STEP 5. Profit.

If bittrex no longer wants us, you think it'll be any hard to JP to find another exchange? - ahahaha

Shit guys you're all overly invested in this. Either that or insane.

Stop carring about the volume/value for a year, and help promote it, help the coin grow you god damned leeches.

What a bizarre, and strangely angry mindset.

Lol don't take anything I say too seriously.  Wink

You seem to forget bitcoin had no competition. When you are the only game in town, you can play by different rules.

As for JP finding another exchange, well... evidently Poloniex already turned down the coin. And that was when the coin was more popular. Yes, I believe the coin can get on other exchanges, just that if the volume gets too low, you'll be looking at allcrypt or tiny exchanges where you wonder if they'll ever send you any coins.

Multiple exchanges = arbitrage = volume. Volume = more interest = greater adoption. If you dismiss volume + value, nobody will care about the coin.

You seem to forget there's no rules. And there will always be someone (call him insane) who cares about the coins.

I'm not an expert - I'll never claim to be. But I'm having fun honestly. I'm learning and trying new things. Just havin' fun with my spare time and tiny wallet.

Big holders?

How many coins have been mined to date?

I been mining for a while now and even bought some...I still don't consider it a large holding

IPO was  210,000 QBC and gathered 20 BTC. 20 BTC was worth about 9500$ USD at the time. That means 1 QBC was mathematically(?) worth 22 cents(?). But then,  some of the IPO folks dumped their IPO. At the same time you had multi-pool and x11 profitability miners dumping QBC. It got hammered as they say.

Now - do I think QBC are really worth 22 cents? Not at all… A coin with barely any infrastructure, development(team), tools, merchant, and community is worth nothing. Add the fact that Québecoin is a nation coin:

  • Most coin target audicence is the whole world - with internet access – roughly 2800 million people.
  • Québecoin target audience is Quebec’s population - with internet access – roughly 6.65 million people.

Give it time and exposure. The ONLY thing holding us, or at least ME, down is the pre-mine. But at the same time, it’s that pre-mine w/ airdrop that will  give the “slow adopters” of Quebec a chance at getting-in. It’ll greatly help with the decentralization and fair distribution of the coin. Less whale, less manipulation, more transaction and etc.

Considering all that, QBC seems over priced right now lol. But I have a strong feeling that it will be far, hella far above current price in 10 years.

I said it before – QBC is an extremely risky investment, but also extremely rewarding one  – implying that JP doesn’t fuck us good, dies, or what ever else.  Shocked

 Grin

What do you mean by easy QBC buy form? You got me curious there.

Just like this: https://weselldoges.com/
This suggestion comes from someone else.

Also I would love a ticker in Chrome. I have the code done just need to connect to Bittrex API.

That's just great! All this could go a long way.

Grin Some of us are slowly working on our own things.

Those are great ideas. I am working on a paper wallet generator, a faucet and a easy QBC buy form. I am buying all the QBC I can to do this.

But lately I have had to run in the hamster wheel to pay the bills.

Damn you day job!!

Marie-Lynn

Damn you day job, everyday duties, *cough* familly and all that comes with it!  Shocked

Paper Wallet and Faucet are both on my wishlist, I'm really glad to hear someone is working on it. Hopefully you'll join the forum and discuss your projects with the rest(few) of us  Grin

I think it would be nice if we had another exchanger aswell

Sure it will be great to have a new exchanger, and also some good news from the dev. No actions were taken to promote this coin in a proper and nice manner. We are a big community here that love this coin but we are tired of waiting for things to happen, we need some action here JPGagnon.

We’re not all here sitting and doing nothing, while waiting for JP to do everything.  Grin Some of us are slowly working on our own things - even thought IT IS hard to commit to it, atleast until the pre-mine is secured.

I almost have the WordPress and PHPBB Forum up. Which sounds like nothing, but is actually quite the challenge to set up if you’ve never touched this sector at all. I have to thanks Casseus1998 for his time, help and suggestions. Hopefully I’ll be sharing this before end-of-week. Then the Québecoiners / community can start working together on all there is to do.

I’m also making a budget for a project of mine. I’d like to create a series of video, in which I would build a mining rig from - From start to finish. The QBC mined by this rig would all go toward promotion of the coin, community participation and maybe other things – I’m brain storming.
