If there's one thing I can say about Solarcoin. The management is top notch. Nowhere in crypto land is there caliber of management this coin has by it's very inception. I'm not saying these people are legendary warriors from a land light years away, but I am saying there's no way in the world I'd be able to afford 10 seconds on their time normally and here I am investing in their vision.

And boy do they have vision.

Aha, I wonder who that is. Perhaps they could share with us the rationale behind such a strategy???  

Just to let everyone know, our intention is to do fork #1 to begin the block reward reduction at block 300,000. This block is expected to be reached sometime early next week. I have received confirmation from the developer that this is the plan. I still need to make sure the pools are okay with this, and I'll post another update as soon as I find out what they say.

One question I have had for a long time is whether or not you can say you have personally met (face to face and not using video chat) John Carley or anyone else who is a non marketing employee of the company?

I haven't kept up with the discussion in the past few weeks but one thing that never seemed to happen is that the people behind the company (the administrators/programmers/bankrollers) ever had any verifiable presence, just representatives who had never met their employers.  (If this has changed in the past few weeks, please clue me in and I apologize.)  Regardless of whether the company is a ponzi or not this just seems shady, especially considering how long its been going on.

I don't get it. You are promoting green energy by wasting energy and resources ?

Do I have to remind you that the electricity you use to mine SolarCoin come from Coal, Oil, Natural Gas and Nuclear ?

Do I have to remind you that ASIC-scrypt miner are made of rare resources and that these hardware become obsolete in few months ?

Is there a plan for when we are able to buy things with solarcoin? I know this is a long term plan but was wondering if it has been discussed so far.

I'd love it if solarcity started accepting it. Hah that would be awesome.
